The car actuary costs €1.2 Mill When this episode was shot this would have been the same price as May says in the video in pounds (don't know the price back then in $) but exchange rates change. At the moment as far as I know the car costs. €1.2Mill, £1Mill, $1.7Mill. but ofc will change with the exchange rate.

The SSC Ultimate Aero holds the Guinness WW for fastest production car (Veyron just claims to be the fastest, but its never been verified), and the most expensive is the Maybach Exelero (WAY more expensive).

I doubt anyone will ever need to do those speeds in a car and the danger factor would be extremely high. as well as having no country in the world that would allow you do those speeds, the inneficiency of burning so much fuel and the tyres wearing out quickly would also be an issue.

The Ultimate aero is just a carbon fibre (or whatever its made of) chassis with a powerful engine and a racing interior. The Veyron is a Technological masterpiece and besides its top speed was governed and in the next year they are bringing out the Veyron GT that will go faster than anything out there with 1300 plus hp.
