If you believe that theLord has a calling on your life then the devil is going to come in even harder than other people to try and steer you and turn you away from the Lord. He can deliver and set you free from what you yourself have trouble with. There are many instnaces in the bible when people were delivered. One example is the Legion man. He had 6,000 demonds in him, but the power of God drove them away and after the Lord did that he went and preached to everyone! So God is able to deliver to the utter most!

This is one of the many songs touching me. It is funny how I end up in the Christian music accidently and find something I can relate to. I struggle with ocd, adhd, anxiety, ptsd, depression, eating disorders, chronic pain, drugs/alcohol dependence, cutting and pretty much everything. Magazines, tv shows, advertisements, movies...etc and even IF we can manage to somehow avoid it not all our friends do, so we get it from friends, family. @ebrandon98 What does this even mean?? It might sound good on a bumper sticker but I don't know anyone who has seen hell. I have many friends who were raised in the church, were terrific examples of Christ growing up and are great men of God now. In Isaiah 6 we see a man who was the example righteousness for all Israel, and yet when he sees how holy and righteous God is, he realized how desperately sinful he was. A correct view of God alone can show us how close we are to hell.

@87elway Read James 1:26 as well. It clearly speaks of religion...so those who agree with the books of James must be religious. James 1:27 "If anyone thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this man's religion is vain." So since we actually do these things, our religion is not in vain. thus, we are religious. Furthermore, James 1:27 is NOT EXCLUSIVE. It only says "Religion is...this" It does not say "religion is ONLY this."

Obviously, there can be more to Christianity than merely what this passage gets at. I feel like this song and video were made for me, and hope so badly that someone who cares would see it and recognize me in it. I have recently been released from the hospital because of anorexia, but am really struggling. I look down on my arms and see the scars. I don't want to hurt any more, but I don't know how to stop...
Im 13. I have Tourettes Syndrome,PTSD,a serious case of depression,becoming Anorexic, and am scuicidal. Since I was four I had to take on the role of an adult. I was taken from my mom over a year and a half ago after my abusive father almost killed her and tried to hurt my eight year old little brother. I live in a house where everyday im called fat, am dicriminated against by my own "family" and put down by almost everyone. Im alone. I just need a friend who understands...but thats impossible.

I struggle with ocd, adhd, anxiety, ptsd, depression, eating disorders, chronic pain, drugs/alcohol dependence, cutting and pretty much everything. @jrappisverynice It's not that easy. We are bombarded with images of how we are "supposed to look". Magazines, tv shows, advertisements, movies...etc and even IF we can manage to somehow avoid it not all our friends do, so we get it from friends, family. Then we get it from guys themselves, though girls are usually way more mean to girls than guys are. You cant just tell girls to stop being stupid, because she's not, she's broken, hurt...she needs help. This is serious...

People always tell me 'your perfect as you are' 'your beautiful' and when I look in the mirror i just dont see it.... but this video helps me remember that there is one person who loves me and really does see me as perfect- and thats Jesus..... Thank you for this.... I struggle with self image- I hate my body and even when people tell me I'm beautiful and perfect as I am, I still have trouble believing them... I'm so sick of society deeming these stick thin models as 'perfect'... I've never heard this song- it definitely struck a chord with me... I hope that other young women can listen to the lyrics to this song and know that there is strength in Jesus' arms... and i know He sees me as beautiful....

When I read all these comments about people who are totally set against God, it breaks my heart. Though we shouldn't be "forcing" religion on anyone. We plant the seed and let God to the work. Those of you who have now heard about God (I'm assuming you have because you've heard Kutless), the seed has been planted, I hope one day God will change your heart. :)

We know Our Father exists because He has SHOWN us, He speaks to us. He let's us know He is there in any way we could understand. @XXBVBarmygirlXx I think they were just trying to provide comfort in the way that they were comforted. Hard to give a recommendation on a restaurant you haven't tried before so you tell people what you have had. Apparently, Jesus Christ was a comfort for this video maker.

@87elway Yea, you're right. Religion helps a lot of people, but not me. I'm fine with it, exept for when people push it on me, and say God will make everything alright. Because, he's not here, and he hasn't helped me yet. It's been a while. If he wanted to, he'd help. Also, I was never raised religiously. So, I just don't believe. Sorry for being obnoxious, though.

People saying God will make everything alright haven't heard about an apostle named Paul. He loved the Lord, yet had many more difficulties than any man should bear. But Paul believed the pain in his life was worth enduring to enjoy God in the afterlife. Jesus doesn't make things alright, he makes them worth it!

@ebrandon98 What does this even mean?? It might sound good on a bumper sticker but I don't know anyone who has seen hell. I have many friends who were raised in the church, were terrific examples of Christ growing up and are great men of God now. In Isaiah 6 we see a man who was the example righteousness for all Israel, and yet when he sees how holy and righteous God is, he realized how desperately sinful he was. A correct view of God alone can show us how close we are to hell.

I do not believe the bible is a product of religion, instead I believe the bible is inspired by God, and religion is something created by man. I also warn you as a brother to not fall into a trap of man's own devise. God will not allow man to determine His character. The bible gives us only 1 example of God accepted, pure and faultless religion; James 1:27. But it seems we agree on the most important point, Jesus Christ is Lord!

@87elway And why is it so hard to believe that the Bible is BOTH a product of religion AND inspired by God. Why can it not be that religion is something created, in a sense, by God? For 1,900 years it was simply understood that Christianity=religion even by the most God-fearing, Jesus-loving saints, theologians, and philosophers. I appreciate your warning but I do not believe it is a trap. Nor does your reference to James prove anything--rather it would seemt to prove what I am saying.

@87elway Read James 1:26 as well. It clearly speaks of religion...so those who agree with the books of James must be religious. James 1:27 "If anyone thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this man's religion is vain." So since we actually do these things, our religion is not in vain. thus, we are religious. Furthermore, James 1:27 is NOT EXCLUSIVE. It only says "Religion is...this" It does not say "religion is ONLY this."

@87elway Thus, religion can be more, which is has to be even by your standards. There is no forgiveness of sins via the atonement, no trinity, etc in this passage. Obviously, there can be more to Christianity than merely what this passage gets at. Ad it is clear to me it gets at least 2 things: Christians are religious and 2) An undefiled religion requires a pure heart.

@XXBVBarmygirlXx a few years ago i was attacked. even though that assault was only a few seconds long, it left deep emotional scars. those scars led to depression and suicidal thoughts. God pulled me from those thoughts even though my abuse was nothing like what James Lovell went through. look up James Lovell and Apollo 13. he was actually asked by people when he returned whether he had any suicide pills on board. i'm doing a research paper on that event. tbc

@XXBVBarmygirlXx there is simply too many catastrophies that happened on that ship in that short amount of time. at one point, the lunar hatch didn't close like it should have. the crew was lucky they couldn't shut it too b/c they had to use the lunar module as a lifeboat to safely get home. and before the lunar module was jettisoned, the hatch was closed with no problems at all.

Any girls out there reading this...here's the truth. "Average" "plain" and "ugly" girls by the Hollywood standard are so much more beautiful than the idolized celebrities that haunt you. I'm speaking honestly from my heart as a 20 year old guy. I have a lot of friends who confide in me that they feel ugly and I just tell them "I've always thought you were really beautiful" and that's the truth. How God designed you girls is way better than airbrush and silicone. I'd love to punch the media.

Im 13. I have Tourettes Syndrome,PTSD,a serious case of depression,becoming Anorexic, and am scuicidal. Since I was four I had to take on the role of an adult. I was taken from my mom over a year and a half ago after my abusive father almost killed her and tried to hurt my eight year old little brother. I live in a house where everyday im called fat, am dicriminated against by my own "family" and put down by almost everyone. Im alone. I just need a friend who understands...but thats impossible.
