love how un-rock n' roll the whole process of picking the tv up is ('is the cable off?...all right...just unscrew this...'), then carefully carrying it to the balcony, making sure no-one's underneath, aiming it, only letting go when the director's ready. Somehow, all that stuff makes it even more rock n' roll, possibly to the point of being the most stereotypical piece of rock n' roll-ness ever!
How sweet it was. Good ole' Keef and saxaphone legend Bobby Keys. What is so EFFING AMAZING is that both cats are still alive, and when on the road they can still belt it out for hours at a time. Forget Tiger Blood this shows that there are some old junkie vampires that are indeed bulletproof.
I one thew the television through our living room window...smashing the glass...one of the reason i quit drugs...i really ment it too...so angry...and the police came...
If it had been an American set (especially a Zenith or RCA) that would have been a mortal sin. Kinda doubt those two (as drunk and/or stoned as they obviously were) could have lifted a built-like-a-tank American set (especially a Zenith) whthout hurting themselves. If it was a Zenith and they only dropped it on their feet, it probably still would have worked afterward, though. I've serviced many a Zenith set from the $ervice$aver Chassis era, and they're practically indestructible.
A perfect end to a cheap foreign-made POS (probably Japanese, considering the vid was purportedly from 1973) TV set! If I'd have become a rock star in my metalhead days, I'd have probably smashed at LEAST one cheap Chinese-import TV and then scrawled "BUY DOMESTIC!" across the wall.
he says garbage area. they will get hammed and throw tv's off the balcony, but will still make sure to keep it near the garbage. now thats an english rockstar ahaha
@0live0wire0 im not puttin down the stones at all, i love em.. and i guess when they were doing this it was new and crazy.. its just so steriotypical.. throwing tvs out of windows.. pantera took partying to next level thats all im sayin ya know what i mean
@stonedeafforever88 Right, it is stereotypical now, but it was new back then. The Stones had a hand in starting many aspects of rock and roll without most people realizing. For example, they were the first band to use monitors onstage. They didn't invent rock and roll, but I think they defined what true rock really sounds like. Just inagine what music would be like had they not come along.
Pathetic..
