  • The most compelling thing to me in this, is the imagery of far off, distant worlds and phenomena in the cosmos. Seems like this film is quite simply trying to answers, or at least address, all the things we wonder about in life. I will check this movie out on filmsi.co.cc today.

  • After I saw this movie, I realized I never went to the cinema before. Wonderful, I guess it's now my favorite movie, before Casablanca (Michael Curtiz) and Gran Torino (Clint Eastwood). I will check it again on filmsi.co.cc to catch all the details.

  • natalie portman is much more beautiful than scrarlet johnson and she was a gorgeous anne. i liked the movie but it was based on a fictional book written by phillipa gregory. i loved the book but i know that many things philippa wrote are not true, so when we look at the tudors, we see the truth about anne boleyn's story, something that doesn't happen when we watch this movie. and the book is much better than the film.

    u c Mary Boleyn was known to be mistress of the king of France before she came back to England and became mistress of king Henry

    so she wasn't as innocent as she was portrayed in this novel/ movie

  • And the execution of Anne was done so wrong. In real Anne was very brave and spoke to the people without showing emotion. In the movie it was more portrayed as the defeated, broken young woman while the real Anne faced her death with her head up straight.

  • I wouldn't say manipulated. The sisters didn't fight over Henry, Mary was already married to someone else by the time Anne arrived at court and Anne refused to be Henry's mistress for 6 years because of the way he had treated Mary. Anne wasn't some nasty conniving person either, she was a victim of circumstance and saw her marriage to Henry as a way to help religious reform - she believed it was a calling from God.

  • im english and at least they bothered to put english accents on! Natalie happens to be my favourite actress anyway. They were going to use american actors for Harry Potter at first which would have been a disaster because it wouldn't fit in but they sound fine and the film was great!

    Nathalie is an educated women, I'm sure she appreciates the importance of britains royalty.

    besides, she got cast for it.

    don't nag on scarlet and nathalie, nag on the dirstor for choosing them for the roll.

    he obviously thought they were fit for the part.

  • People get so outraged she Americans play Brits but no one seems to care about Hugh Laurie, Russel Crowe, Jude Law, Naomi Watts... I don't get it, if they play the part well they play the part. What's the deal?

    I guess I should fly into a tizzy every time CBS airs Without a Trace...Have you seen the cast...Are there *any* American actors on there?

  • The English have deep pride for their history and their monarchy and Americans are basically very patronising and take it as some kind of spectacle/joke. To have Americans who can't fully enunciate received pronunciation playing people of this historical importance is quite frankly an insult.

    Sorry but that's the truth of it.

  • i thought that they should have chosen english actors for this film as although they did OK with the accents, nathalie portman sounded really fake at some bits and it was kinda off - putting.

  • I think they both try, but their attempts at accents are rather weak. But that's easy to pick up on when around real British actors because it stands out. No, I'm not a specialist, nor am I from England. Neither am I bashing. I'm a fan. So no flaming me please.

    No affence but Natalie portman in the film is so stunning and beautiful, but in real shes like really american....that really ruiens her :(  - i love america dont get me wrong!

    When she says 'Mummy' british people do not sound like that!!!
