  • You don't have to be black to like this cartoon. I'm Native American (what some people call Indian) and I liked this cartoon.

  • Microwoman was SMOKIN HOT, TOO!!!

  • Filmation was ahead of their time with promoting African-Americans... in 1969 they had the FIRST African-American regular in a cartoon.. Pete Jones of the Cartoon "The Hardy Boys". This was one year before Valerie Brown of "Josie in the Pussicats (Who was the First African-American Female Cartoon Regular)

  • @Jazzy9964 And that was also 3 years before Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids became the second Saturday morning cartoon with a predominately African-American cast of characters (preceeded by Hanna-Barbera's Harlem Globetrotters in 1970 and Rankin/Bass' The Jackson 5 in 1971), but one of the first of many series which taught a moral lesson as Filmation had a panel of educators who made sure this and other shows did just that, most of whom were from UCLA and headed by Dr. Gordon Berry.

  • Funky music with synthesizers! I wonder if the original music tracks are archived somewhere

  • Sorry folks that think this is lame but I loved it as an African American kid back in the day.

  • Dumbest cartoon EVER!

  • C'mon, it's lovely. It's FUN. What more can you ask for?

Kids still love Filmation's productions, when they are exposed to them. They're timeless classics that will never be matched - that's a fact.

  • The show yoboricua9 is referring to may be Filmations life action show, ARK II. It was mobile laboratory mmann by scientists to help rebuild a future earth left in ruins by pollution and man's general carelessness. I attempted to post this answer yesterday but wasnt sure if it took. pls forgive a dup post.

  • LMAO....the music on here is .....horrible

  • is this the Super Obamas?

  • Oh yeah, I remember this cartoon. I also remember another series that had to do with an "Ark" of some kind. If anyone can remember what I'm talking about, post the answer on here.

  • There a live action Saturday morning show called Ark II. I was about a group of young people trying to help diff communities in future where Earth was in ruins due to pollution etc. Could that be the series?

  • Nobody ever BELIEVES me when I mention this cartoon--nobody remembers it at all!

  • I remember it well. I am shocked that someone found this. It's been fucking 30 years!!! Time really flies.

  • Well I do because I watched when I was in the 5th grade! And it was fantastic!

  • It was cool to have black super heroes in the 1970's who weren't patronizing or cliche, but were hip and smart.

  • My LORD!!! One of my favorite toons ever! Filmation was the shit. From the incidental music and sound effects to the animation style and far out story lines I LOVED this toon. Been looking for some semblance of it for years. Thanks YOUTUBE and Palitoy. I love you. :-p

  • i swear to GOD i thought i IMAGINED this Cartoon Growing up!!!

  • it was very real just like Tarzan and Superfriends

  • "Plastic Man" WITH SOUL! LOL! Wow, Super Stretch...along with Super Samurai...was my favorite on the SUPER 7. And he went head-2-head with Plastic-Man at around the same time. Kim Hamilton (from lots of things) and Ty Henderson (from SPACE ACADEMY) had GREAT voices!

  • They sound more like a brother and sister duo than a husband and wife they almost look like twins. Christie and Christopher Cross.(not to confuse the singer/Songwriter)

  • lol! I haven't seen this cartoon since I was 8. Great find!

  • In the tradition of Nick and Nora Charles (in the movies) a loving couple having a blast going after the bad guys! Utterly Cool! (Can't believe I forgot this!!!)-----mike

  • I remember this fondly, this is the episode of "Super Starch and Magna Woman" their complete opposites. Super starch stiffens into a diamond substance and Magna Woman grows. Thanks for this clip, great childhood memories!

  • Man! I haven't seen this since the late 70's. Please bring out the DVD, PLEASE! Filmation was the SHHHH, thank you Lou!

  • Ahhh...man, the good ole' 70's! I loved this when I was a kid. No jive talk, exaggerated features, just a guy and his girl fighting crime. Thanks for this memory!
