Awesome! Well done for posting it. This is the setting I've been looking all over youtube for. I love it especially as this is the setting i'm most familiar with and look forward to at the vespers of the Assumption which in my personal spiritual life is one of the most preeminent solemnities (i treat it both liturgically and culturally like Christmas and Easter though being a slightly lesser feast). Ave Maria, mater pauperum, maris stella!

I love this juxtaposition (forgive my being pretentious, please) of chant and Monteverdi's music. I haven't heard it performed like this before.

This is really a good alternation between Gregorian and polyphonic and perhaps more suited to the needs of the liturgy...

I wonder whether it is doing the same mutatis mutandis as Allegri's Miserere?? The concert style of course doesn't preclude performing liturgically. The main point is that Gregorian chant has the approbation of the Church (yes, even today). Church music should lift one to Heaven not drag one down to the gutter as so much modern music does. Yes I like being controversial.
