  • Where did you get it O:

  • 300 bucks O:

  • given the choice i would run in ten degree weather, sounds like a smart old truck, that must be why she is still around in one piece.

  • Does this have onstar????

  • nice truck I like good for a project

  • Ouch that was painful to watch. That poor starter struggling so bad.

  • time crank up the heat

  • When I was a lad in New England , all we had was 6 volt rigs like this , they cranked the same but always started *IF* you kept them sharply tuned .

  • can I buy your truck and how much do you want for it?

  • How old is Dinosaur? She is a good truck,

  • You know what would look good beside that? An old Ford F600. Everytime i see one of those old trucks...

    I just wish i had one :(

  • Why do you not paint this chevy trifmaster ?? She look verry bad -.-

  • Nice vid also great caddy buy have you been to copart auctions they have alot of real good buys an I have my dlr liscence in tx ck copart.com

  • Love them both !!! Great video Danny.

  • Hey Dan! Can't believe you're having such cold weather down there! It's in the 20's here in the N.E. - but we're used to it!

WOW! that Caddy was a bargain, huh!? Good going! I wanna go to the auctions with YOU!

  • I thought my $300 Silverado was a good buy, nice job. It barely wanted to start that week too, and it's fuel injected. It made a good video though and people seem to like it. Keep em coming Dan.

  • $300!!! You stole that car!

  • hey Dan, how you doing? great cadillac, you are lucky, but I like more the dinosaur when you gonna paint it?

  • I dont always have success with cold starts either.. but me and rpeek were just talking about how its good to post our successes and failures.. like my recent failed oil leak fix.. it just dont always work the first time.. congrats on the cad man. what a buy!! how did you manage that price? auction? I want to find something like that to put my 51 Nash 2 dr body on.....you da man Dan!!!

  • Hey there Dan ! can't belive the cols weather here in TX. Everthink about converting the old beast to 12 volt & maybe adding a MSD Ingnition ? I think it would be more reliable,I really dig your videos please post more soon.

  • I did that once. Went out to do a cold start vid on the Rambler and it didn't go.. I put the video up. Everybody wrote to me and told me that if it didn't have a Chevy motor in it it would crank. I knew though, that if it didn't have a deadish battery it would start.. hahaha..

  • nice caddy

  • i love the dinasaur!!!

  • ill give ya 500 for the caddy lol

  • But...this one will start in the next video

  • Old Vehicles always start.... Nothing fancy about them...If they have spark, fuel, and compression, they're gonna start :) That's what I love about old vehicles

  • is that a radio speaker and if it is does the radio work

  • Hey!!!!!' its time to a new paint job xD !

  • Starter fluid would start it right up! That is a cold country trick for old vehicles!

  • WTF! 10 degrees in Texas, so much for global warming LOL!

  • @Davidhuggar That's why they call it climate change.

Do y'all have to be so deep about everything?

  • nice ride for a caddy.....what year is the truck and what size motor

  • Sweet caddy. How did you fix the A frame?

  • Ive been tryin to find an older caddy for cheap. Its hard in new york...

  • I ould have started the Dinosaur if I had a run a hot wire to the points to givem 12 volts, and/or sprayed some B-12 down the carb. When the engine is this hard to turn it takes to many volts and robs them from the points, so in the past, a temporary booster wire from the starter post to the points has done the trick. Once started, I pull that wire and let it rely on the resistor/original wire. Used to work everytime, but I wanted to C if it would fire right up by itself like in the past

  • @restodan It doesnt take many volts, The volts drop like mad when your cranking, althoug this depend on the inner resistence of you battery, but when it turns this tough, it has a high amperage, so youll drain the batterie like mad

  • got to be careful of all this global warming.

  • I'd take the old truck over that Caddy :D

  • @IDIDieselJohn LOL, that old truck had to haul that Caddy home! LOL, so I guess you can say "that old truck TOOK that Caddy. But me too, I'd rather have that old truck over that Caddy. The Caddy had sat for 4 years due to the bent A-frame, and I had to do some work to get it driveable again. But its turned out to be a nice car, which I have way less than $500 in, and it just passed emisions and state inspection. I can't complain.

  • @restodan battery is weaker on colder temperature. lol

  • Cold weather will really weaken your battery and old oil in the motor will slow the cranking....

  • man these eldos sell for 10k in my country

  • battery ran down too much

  • 300$ for a eldorado... thats awesome!

  • Engine's not spinning fast enough. The 6's need fast constant compression.
