Wow! I wore this Tape out! I would pump it so loud! Which is funny because I was a white kid from La Crescenta who was into UNDERCOVER and ALTAR BOYS! this was my favorite track. We gotta get this on ITUNES.
This cut had me witnessing to every kid in high school doin "drive by witnessing!" SFC (Soldiers For Christ) kept putting out music that kept a brotha saved - AMEN!
Lot of great stuff out there guys, just good to have had a great heritage! I do pray these guys go "back to the lab" to whip up somethin' new! Been waitin' a minute! Don't have to come the way new cats do, just make it Hot! Holy! & keeps it Hip Hop! One Love
I used to listen to this album over and over in the 90s. these guys along and secular rap groups were much more talented than today's hacks. Also check out Dynamic Twins' album "No Room 2 Breathe".
I'm not even religious. Just strictly speaking on rap.
the sample used during the chorus/hook was later used in one of the Junior Mafia songs......i just cant recall which one @ the moment.......but i will research and report!
oh MANNNNNNNNNN - Did i ever used to bump the heck outta this CD - this song was my FAVORITE, lol - i wish i could find this disc again. nothing on itunes,
this is real hip hop, I love this guy P.I.D,Dyanamic Twins, Dj dove,12th tribe, Freedom of Soul,Gritz and P.I.D again cuz they was doin this in the 80's !
Supa C was the equivalent of KRS-1 for gospel rappers back in the day. He held it down for those of us who were serious for Jesus. Thanks Sup! D-Vine MC from Transformation Crusade
Thanks SO much for posting. Supa-C was ahead of his time, and so was this album. I remember bringing this on my walkman to Christian camp in junior high, and setting somebody straight about how this was REAL hip hop and NOT DC Talk!
I have to be honest I luv must of the old school Christian rap than the new stuff that's out because it had more personality and creativity than the new stuff. After like 3 tracks of the new stuff I gotta turn it off cause it's overbearing.
Man do you know how long I have trying to find this cd. Its like pulling teeth. Thanks for uploading this. SFC and Dynamic Twins were the baddest christian rappers going. I would blast this in the church parking lot.
That's not a discussion I care to have on here and it would be a disservice to this music anyway. And ultimately, it's only important to me. The point of this is to celebrate a talented, seminal rap group, not go on and on about why I'm no longer christian. ;)
I got this in my ride as I speak! This is a piece of history to Me and all my homies, always talk about early christian Hip hop history...most don't know theres. DOPE!
WOW i have not heard this in years!!! i was driving Zamboni and working as the stage manager at a club in mpls when these guys came thru town. i dont remember how we got them out to the ice arena but to this day i have the pic of SFC and myself in front of the boni... what a riot!!!!
hardcore!
