i dont fucking get this. i bought dell streak and i went to the market to see whats good to dl. i dl'ed few apps and they 'succesfoully doenloaded' but once i enter the dl it starts downloading it again when i click install. i mean wtf, how to actually install them to your phone?

Why can't we all just have the update this is awful.. that is why Apple keeps beating everyonge.. too far behind the time on stuff. Come on Android you can put a update that is available to everyone.. Why does one provider get service before the next provider? @whatis364 The fragmentation is a real problem. But it's not Google's doing. The manufacturers decide to skin it with their own things like Sense UI. Google puts out the update, and then the carrier/maker has to play with it before it gets to you.

Phones like the Nexus One that run stock Android, get the newest version of Android right away.

Unless you have a motorola. I dont know about other brands, but if you lose your phone, or it stolen you can go to motorola's websit and track it using the gps or do a remote wipe and clear the entire phone.
