  • any reason why you SHOULDNT remove cysts

  • the girl on the picture before you click has nothing to do with this video... fail

  • I wonder if this is wrong:

I'm 11, and I pick off my cysts (Don't be immature and say eww -.-), so then, after doing that, the cyst becomes smaller. But i'm afraid that it might get infected... So is it wrong?

  • @TrollCupcake72 To a point, yes. if you do not have the proper tools to do so, yes it can, but if you have removed all the puss from under the cyst, then there shouldn't be no problem

  • @TrollCupcake72 u can not pick them off they are A LUMP

  • @TrollCupcake72 Just put alkohol on the popped cyst!

  • ...if a non infected cyst bursts,is there any danger - and is it just reabsorbed by the body?

  • @OlymPigs2010 should be ok the body does absorbed it back in but infected puss can get u sick if the body absorbed it how to i no i get cysts a lot and u name it ive had one there the ass is the worst

  • dammm i expect some popping and squeezing

  • Take control of your cyst

  • umm yeah i have one under my nipple, what do i do?

  • @therugerfan1 it goes away when children are going through puberty it happens....

  • @therugerfan1 dude.. you talk to your doctor. it's the same were you have it... only some plazes are more painful and more dangeros

  • There are two different types of subacious cysts, One is Ruptured and it comes in a liquid. The head is usually at the top and holds the liquid from coming erupting the skin. Another is unruptured and it comes in a squishy, solid-like form.

  • i wanted to see a cyst being popped, not learn about them!

  • @soniapaniagua1919 sounds painful.. and retardet

  • can you answer then.. why do they come back in the same place?

  • @chutchybo Most of the time the wound heals and the core that produces it isn't removed so it just fills back up.

  • @got2strpk thanks now i get it, but I only get antibiotics given to me, never an option to remove it.

  • @chutchybo then it's something wrong and you Shold talke to your doctor about it, any time soon

  • Had one on my calf removed without anaesthetic, that fucking killed. Had one on my groin removed, one on my neck removed, need one on my abdominal area removed now >_<

    Hate them.

  • Like they say "Don't scratch it or it'll get infected" :)

  • @Toyman07 and it will get infected soon'er or later

  • if this guy were my teacher, damn id be a nerd!

  • skin

  • Why shouldn't you remove a cyst, oh lawd

  • Is it very painful if the cyst is removed at the time when you start to notice it?,like when it gets big enough that you notice it but doesnt cause pain.

  • i have a genulion cyst on the top of my foot. should i consider getting it removed?

  • Doesn't that doctor look a little disturbed to you or what? He is a little 2 calm talking about this WOW he said shaft, WOW he said shaft again and he also said he a little pointer LMAO!

  • he said shaft!!!!!

  • False advertising !!!!

  • I thought it was Christian Bale in the thumbnail.

  • what about cysts like the coccyx cyst?(or pilonidal cyst i think its called) can it be dangerous if not removed?

  • @ 0:50 that looks like my schools lasagna

  • I had this little hard thing under my right eyelid. I didnt feel it at all and it was like a little grain of something was under the skin. I removed myself and this was a few years back and it was a tiny rock hard white ball. It hasnt come back since but was it a cyst? I have four other ones now all in my eye area and want to learn about them so i can properly treat them. Help?

  • dont take it wrong, but honestly how i can get one of those?? i really one to provocate to have it.. can some one helP?

  • @marksparanoid1 Why would you want one? O__o

    That's a bit sick.

  • @Gailoftheblackroable acctualy ur comment didnt help, my question was how i can be that lucky like those in the videos?

  • the good dr. forgets that elective procedures are rarely covered by HMOs and 40 million americans don't have insurance or are under insured

therefore people will leave it until an emergency when the hospital has to admit you or try to fix it on your own

he just made a great point for single payer healthcare

it's cheaper in the long run since people will have these types of things looked at in a non emergency situation

it costs about $2000 JUST to get ADMITTED into emergency

  • fc adverts stuck

  • can you get cysts on your testes?

  • @applesauceman92 Yes, you probably have two of them now... I am not responsible for any self operation my post inspires. That would just be natural selection at work...

  • @applesauceman92 Yes, but usually those are called Fordyce spots. They are harmless, very common and can also be removed by your doctor if you don't like their appearance.

  • @applesauceman92 wow dude see a doctor if u hav that

  • @MelancholyApples Southpark :P

  • How long does it take for a cyst to get infected? i've got one and don't know how soon i should schedule the appointment

  • If i get a cyst, i get an xacto blade, some sterilizers, and I cut into that sucker.

Then I purge the hell out of it!

    THEN

I remove the hair follicle, or nerve, by tearing the sucker out.

    BAM PROBLEM SOLVED.

  • How did i get here? o.O

  • I have had a cyst on my skin for years, and its not painfull at all

  • @Dualshock21 Sometimes as you get older you will get hard lumps under your skin, which are benign cysts but not the infected kind like this video is talking about. They are more like hardened fatty deposits, & if it doesn't hurt at all, the dr. usually suggests just leaving it be. Because the surgery to remove it, root & all, will cause you more pain than the cyst itself. Still, if you have a lump, best to go to doc & get it checked out to be on the safe side.

  • @xeokym Alright, I will have it checked, thanks

  • i will remember that thank you :D

  • how did i get to the gross side of youtube again

  • both lipomas and cysts have to be removed and can't just be punctured like a balloon. Well, they can be but they will just come back and perhaps bigger and even infected. Come cysts can't be easily removed even by surgery so it's important to get a clear diagnosis as soon as possible, such as if you had one next to your spine for example. I'm prone to lipomas so I have over a dozen of them on my body. I thought they were cysts at first, thankfully they're not.

  • @ExploringBeyond lipomas don't always "have" to be removed. If they don't cause pain, limit activity or change in size, there is no need to remove them, as they are harmless.

  • @kelaltieri What are you talking about? That wasn't the subject of what I was saying at all. I was saying that you can't just pop a cyst or a lipoma. I wasn't saying anything about having to remove them, in fact I was saying that I had many around my body that weren't removed. Please read posts more carefully next time.

  • i got 1 under my chin what should i do? been there for 1 year and its not big. Should i see a doctor?

  • @IceSonicRs nah, i had one 2, took a razor blade on it.

    Now its gone.

  • @thecrackerboy I'm not emo i think ill just see a doctor :D

  • @IceSonicRs meh =)

im not a emo :P i was just lazy to see a doctor :)

  • BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *throws up*damm u....

  • Why you shouldn't get them in the first place.

  • i think ill just go on youtube for like 10 min to watch a skyrim vid and i end up here. Why???

  • @seattlekboy95 go watch DSPGAMING. he has a shit load of gaming videos and over 200 parts of skyrim played so far

  • why do i watch this videos only afer my dinner.... ://

  • heh, hope the same isnt for moles.. or else im in big trouble

  • I have had the cyst on my back for over 3 years now and it has not ruptured, so you do not always have to have a cyst removed. The one I have is marble-sized and you can see and feel it, and nothing ever happened.

  • I have a scab types spot it's really small but

    I m not sure if it's a cyst?

  • can i cut it off myself with a butcher knife?

  • how do you get rid of epidermoid cysts?

  • hi this i had a cyst in my cheek for over a month and yesterday it ruptured and when i pressed it some layered thing came out and that smelled really bad.can this become more dangerous to me?

  • no no don't shave them.... :/

  • dear doctor, i have a 1/2 inch scar left behind after a pea size cyst removal, under my right jaw/neck area. its still bother me , and umcomfortable when i meet people in public, should i pay expenses and seek laser scar removal treatment?

  • So instead of waiting for cystic acne to go away, we should get it removed? That suonds like a lot of money...

  • I have cysts every single month. I can't possibly cut in my face every month, right?

I'm pretty sure they're all cysts, because I have a huge bump on my forehead that hurts very very much and I can't squeeze it out.

  • is this how acne cyst works too

i mostly get them on my nose

i usually wait for it to get a white head and pop it but sometimes it doesnt get popped and just stays there

i just poke a needle and the puss comes out ewwww and then get deep scar then by tomorrow the skin peels off and the scar is bit better

why does it get peeled off ? is that breakout?

  • I had a cyst removed from my shoulder blade recently. The scar is quite dark. What do you recommend for scarring?

  • Thank you for sharing this useful information Dr Schultz, just want to know something more about what you said. Since the cyst occurs at the oil gland of the hair, is it most probable that this occurs more often with people of an oily hair nature and would the use of a grease reducing shampoo help the possibility of prevention/mitigation? Also can eating less oily foods such as nuts reduce oily skin? Thank you

  • Comment removed

  • i naturally have very oily skin(which i like in a way) so yeah it kinda doesnt work out for me

  • Where do you go if one is on your penis area? Do you go to a dermatologist to have it removed?

  • @1Learn2Learn3Learn4 In that case an andrologist should be mor ccurate regarding this kind of problem I think.

  • @1Learn2Learn3Learn4 I would assume so because that has something to do with your skin.

  • press f5 to skip ads

  • i do it myself lol while its quite small. luckily it doesnt happen often.. but its better than it turning into a nightmare in the ER/UC (some very nice YT videos on giant zits/cysts removal)

  • im glad i dont have these..feel bad for people who do :(

  • @lexilexi1215 my dad has them and i feel bad too

  • I was told it could be shaved off... does it hurt or leave a scar? How does shaving prevent it from growing again?

  • @choowee Cysts cannot be removed by shaving them off.

  • @choowee i think you are thinking about moles.. :p

  • @choowee you heard wrong

  • Is there a way to prevent cysts altogether?

  • @Dollface22772 While accutane can prevent acne cysts, there is nothing that can prevent ordinary sebacious cysts if you are prone to them.

  • I gotta tell ya Doc, that's all well and good that you know how to have a cyst removed but can you tell me how to have my mother-in-law removed from my guest room ? It's been festering there for months now !

  • @dovermoreno

    LOL -made my day.

  • But you didn't say how it IS removed, do you cut it out? sounds like it must be a painful procedure. Is it similar to an ingrowing hair, and how do you deal with that?

  • @crystalblueming obviously cut it out... better cut then squeezed... and you should look at cyst operation videos.

  • @crystalblueming Neither of those removals should be painful because they are performed using local anesthesia. Yes, the cyst is cut out and the area is sutured closed while the ingrown hair is probed with a needle and extracted.

  • @crystalblueming

Im not sure about all cysts but i had one on the inside of my eyelid and when i was awake they numbed my eye, turned my eyelid inside out and stuck a nedle in to the cyst then sqouse it like a spot :| i was pertified

p.s sorry for bad spelling, my spelcheck is off :(

  • Very informative. Thank you!

  • the explination you gave is so simple, thanks for describing it in a way that can be easily understood, I'll keep what you said in mind
