Excellent video. I especially appreciate the reference to and evidence for private interests out competing subsidized enterprises as I have been wrestling with that issue professionally.
Today, government subsidies are tied to price controls and statutory interference in business practices that make these subsidized companies vulnerable.
Unfortunately, the Congress has demonstrated that it will at any moment abuse the commerce clause to outlaw the reasonable business practices of the wholly private concern.
Further, the executive has abused anti-trust statutes to prosecute private interests that attempt to challenge the publicly preferred in a free market.
Even political speeches without action [the threat of force] can destroy billions of dollars in market capitalization of publicly traded companies.
Beethoven, where did U hear reports countering Folsom's accusations about Commodore Vanderbilt being personally repugnant & institutionalizing his wife? Matthew Josephson & his ilk love using ad-hominem stories like that to give U the impression that businessmen are generally evil.
Do U know who I regard as something of a modern Commodore Vanderbilt or JJ Hill? Scientist-entrepreneur J. Craig Venter of Celera Genomics, who beat the federal government in the race to map the human genome.
Just noticed this. You're a Beethoven fan, yet you're playing Tchaikovsky... still, the Overture of 1812 is effing awesome...

1812 Overture and railroads. The heroes winning and the pragmatic businessmen unwound by reality.
These videos have made my day!
