@fierblaze Yes you can turn off the alarm in the basement (there is a blinking switch in a very bottom room), yes you get the full $600, and yes the stamps are still bad. They have to be for the rest of the story line to continue (without giving away spoilers:p )

When you went through the blue door and down the stairs, if you take a left (once at the bottom, in the square room) and then go to the farthest wall on the left wall you can open the door and disable the alarm. (all this before you open the safe), then there will be no police waiting for you.

Doing this will then get you 10 'G' for the achievement "The Professional."
