  • What is this? Pilates was invented for men. Pilates was a man who invented this system for him and his fellow prisoners. Women seem to be taking over and turning it into a fashion show. Pilates would be shocked with this commercialism.

  • yes she is beautiful, but she should not be instructing Pilates! this is awful instruction....do you see the way her lower back arches and abs splay out as she does the double straight leg stretch (last exercise)?? go take a REAL Pilates class under the supervision of a CERTIFIED instructor and don't hurt yourself trying to copy her incorrect movements....

  • every exercise in pilates and body building have made my shoulders come forward and from upward to downward. I regret having done them.I had a beautiful posture but now its awful

  • that probably means you did it wrong. its best to go to an instrutor that can pinpoint your faulty posture =)

  • I think Sara is a good instructor. I felt really motivated to do some pilates in addition to my regular weight lifting. Sara's instructions were simple, useful, and easy to follow. Please make more videos with her.

  • there is no have to in exercising because nobody can know how strong your muscles are and how your body is fit, just a specialist,so do it so many times as you can and feel ok, it shouldn´t pain. but pay attention on your breath or other day you will feel pain in your abdomen. after every abdominal strenghtening should follow some stretching or breathing relaxation otherwise you can hurt your body...

  • Her inhalation / exhalation advice is so off the charts she isn't even wrong. This is an abdominal workout but not Pilates.

  • Ford models is exploiting Youtube to promote their models- not the exercises. There is another one of their male models doing yoga. This is a really bad, poorly informed routine. The model has a great body (probably due to genetics) but her 'grasp' of Pilates principles is tenuous at best. The exhalation comments overlooks the fact that the exhalation is compulsory not optional. People with spinal problems are advised to disregard this video insert.

  • What she means is that you will do 15 repetitions of the exercise 3 seperaate times, with a brief pause between each of the 3 seperate times.

  • She looks so comfortable and i have a kind of routine too but to be fit like this lady it needs so many repetition and you should do that at least every day. Not just in times that you bored or feel fat.

  • I like this routine. It seems quick and that's what a lot of people need with their busy lives. I'm a college student and I work part-time like many others thus my time it precious to me. The Yoga demonstrations that Tara Stiles executes are helpful as well. I don't know why it's so hard for some people to understand that:

    Yoga video = Ms. Tara Stiles

    Pilates video = Ms. Sara Richardson (and maybe someone else. I don't know.)

    Tara will be back later, I'm sure. :)

    Plus on the scissor youre supposed to inhale on the way down and exhale on the way up, not what she said.

    Same with the "leg lifts". She said to exhale on the way down and inhale on the way up but its the opposite.

  • that is a good routine, but nothing for begginers, I have been doing pilates for about a year and that is definatelly not easy for a beginer.. try Mari Pilates 1 basic or 20 min.workout..

    And Tara Stiles SHOULD come up with some YOGALATES (the comb of Pilates and Yoga) I bet she has some good rutine for that!
