how to rip dvds

thanks! handbrake and VLC didn't work for me and dvd shrink did not want to extract on my computer... I just used the DVDFab 8, didn't even need the other program. And saved them as FLV files. and it only takes 30 minutes to an hour and looks really good, as if I was watching it from the dvd. Sooo Happyyy :)
