Maybe Fry is a fan of Alan Bennett, but I still hate his one-dimensional mockery of a northern accent, always doing it with a burr. He does this all the time on QI.

Still those were the days all you had to be was cruel about other people and BBC 2 lapped it up. Still theres always the Oscar Wilde and Noel Coward quotes and apple ipad endorsements to keep you in the public eye and the fact that your expartner is still slim and talented. meoww.

It is from A Bit of Fry and Laurie but I don't know what season. They're currently being repeated on Satellite TV. I'd seen this years ago and always hoped I'd get to see it again.

I don't think it was ever a personal attack against Alan Bennett; I believe Mr Fry is a huge fan of his work!
