Jordan could dunk off of one or two feet with equal dominance and the final dunk on this video is a dunk that I have yet to see anyone properly duplicate.
lol, so thas where nate robinson got the idea from.........I always had a feeling Jordan could o all these jams they do today. I wish he would have have done an under the legs jam. Thas all he hasnt done......well that and the arm in the rim lol. He could kiss the rim so the arm in the rim is most likely light work.
@Mako4409 i retract my comment lol, watched the footage, jordan should have gotten better scores for those jams........but he got sonned by Dominique on them last dunks. dominique did some strait filth in the end.
@Mako4409 look up "unseen 360 elbow dunk" -> shit is sick! i don't think neone else in the nba can do that dunk without some serious injuries besides mj himself
That first dunk is 180, but it's hard. It's very hard to jump from the other side of the basket and turn and dunk, it's tough to know where the hoop is.
nope. He rocked it once before he jumped....Tony Dandridge and Kadour Ziani are the only ones that rocked it twice in the air. MJ is a great player,a good dunker, but also an overrated dunker
yeahh dr j had the same freethrow line dunk as dwiqht did in o9 SDC..just plain and basic...MJ just full owned the rim on his freethrwo line dunk, like he double pumps and kicks his leqs out and writes a asonq and drinks coffee in the time he has in the air...so awsomee
It's not the fact that Michael dunked from the free throw line, it's HOW he did it. It was such a large improvement over Dr. J's because he dribbled the ball and didn't just extend his arm out. Most people just look at it as "just another free throw line dunk" but it's really the style and finesse that goes into it.
not only that but at the time Dr.J was the only one who had done it so anyone who could do it like MJ would almost automatically get a 50 because at the time it was a seemingly impossible dunk.
@bordertown Dr. J dunk over a guy from the free throw line. Over a dude, that tops a "non extended arm" any day of the week. think about that, over a guy from that far away
I agree but Dr J was 6'7" with longer arms plus MJ double pumps in 87 n 88 and lifts his legs up n puts his left arm behind him That is why it looks 10X better than DJs FTL dunk MJ actually went over the FTL by 6" in 87 and about a FT in 88. 1985 he did the line. Difference is even though he went over in 88 he had so much more height on that dunk. I mean he probably could go a ft behind the line if he just wanted to make the dunk with no style like DR.J . Do a seach for Cloud9 FTL dunk in a game
To everyone arguing about the Free Throw Line dunk Jordan did.
It's not that special to be honest. The line is only 15 feet from the hoop. I used to long jump 22 feet in High School, and I'm only 6'1". If you have the extra vertical, or the extra height (MJ is 6'6"), it's not that hard. And yes, I'm talking about back when he did it. So to me, it was boring dunk because Dr.J did it in the NBA first... Just my 2 cents.
I still think Nique was robbed in the dunk contest in Chicago...
Jordan was the man in every aspect, but 3 of those perfect scores were the same dunk to be fair. The free throw line dunk. Its kinda how the motorcycle guy did a backflip and no one else could do it, so he'd always win. slightly cheese, but still amazing.
You just said that cause other player's dunk gets more advanced as time pass by. But as his time all those dunk he did was legendary. But you find is easy and common now cause time pass by. You why don't you fucking think before you post a comment

MJ had some real big problems with 360. Nowadays its like one of the main ways how to dunk. back then Mj couldnt do this simple dunk. All respect to the greatest player ever, but he could not do anythin, if we are talkin about dunkin!
He invented the whole fucking genre you muppet. Before MJ and Nique the dunk contest was pretty low profile, Dr J did a few things sure but it was pretty basic stuff. All these kids who dunk in these amatuer contests and stuff, thats all they practice all day long. MJ was busy making himself the greatest player of all time, the fact he could dunk was incidental. Jordans leaping ability was crazy, not many people do free throw dunks in the mid 80s like he could even 25 years on...
Do U really think & believe, that a man who could dunk from the FT Line & jump from "outside" from either side of the lane & dunk, was "incapable" of doing a mere 360 dunk?
Are U serious? LOL!!
Wow..U kids today..I don't know what to say to that LOL!!
