KTM owns Husaberg BUT the main factory of husaberg is still in Sweden, but therefore there have been alot of improvement in the engine of husaberg sence KTM bought it.

I rode the 450 a few months back and yeah it hauls but i just cant get over the odd euro feel same with the ktm and i know its probably more mental than mechanical but ill stil with my 09 RM-Z450 for now

just to set the record straight on the husa/ktm debate. ktm owns husa, and they use the brand to test more radical ideas. if everything goes well, then a few years later the husa technology trickles down into the ktm 4- stroke portfolio. bottom line- husa's are faster, but unproven.

Handling ,Torque the whole package a lot like the KTM .....it shares 90% of its DNA with the Kato ....but it is just leaner , keener and meaner . The fork , the shock subtle tweaks make it better ....more than just a Blue Kato !!!! Get on 1 it will change your opinion !!!!

this bike is really special. I didnt want to give it back when I tested it! The angle of the engine makes such a difference, means it turns so quick. And man did that engine sound sweet! SO easy to ride and pulls like a dream. 10 out of 10.

Rode the 450 at Moonrocks NV. Faster midrange than my 525. Seemed to handle better than any other bike I'd ridden. A bit stiff, but brand new.

Wrong! Husaberg sales was to low and they had to sell it to KTM. KTM Wanted to shut down the production after some years but Husaberg was The ultimate viking warrior bike! Husaberg is the best and fastest mx/supermoto bikes you can buy..just read the test. The reason Husaberg uses KTM parts is because they are the owner, not because KTM has better quality.

I did las vegas finals 97 guy cooper raced one and crashed out lol. doug henry won with a 426f yammy the first 4 stroke to win in the 250 class. I was in the 4th grade lol!!

Yeah you see KTM has owned Husaberg for quite a number of years now. KTM put the "4-stroke force" motto on the bikes though, when they bought them. After the motorcycle section of the traditional Swedish brand Husqvarna was bought in 1987 by the Italian company Cagiva, some of its engineers, led by Thomas Gustavsson, stayed in Sweden and founded Husaberg Motor AB in 1988. Poor reliability from 88-97 models due to oil distribution relying only on the timing chain! NO OIL PUMP!
