Not only are most family farmers for this sensible proposition, the farm labor unions are too! The chickens, pigs, and baby cows will have a little more room to flap their wings or turn around. These huge industrial factory farms (who are against prop 2) are polluting our lakes and water ways, and are pumping thousands of pounds of antibiotics into the animals, which we consume. I'm going to VOTE YES ON PROP 2, the humane proposition.
If this passed, Everyone will be eating from sources out of state, or mexico. What would you rather have, California grown eggs, beef, poultry that has STRICT biosecurity laws? Or would you rather eat beef, eggs and poultry that come from out of state or mexico, where there ARENT any laws? Smart move people.. Smart move. Not to mention this will put many family run farms out of business, REALLY helping the economy people. Get REAL
Hold up.....this prop will help bring business to local farmers. The factory farms have taken over their businesses for years and I have personally talked to many farmers who stopped dairy farming practices over 20 years ago b/c the factor farms took their jobs. So the truth is, that prop 2 will help the economy by giving many small families jobs. I would recommend that you do your research before assuming anything.
Hold up....that is false info. This prop. will help give local farmers their jobs back. In fact, I talked to many farmers who lost their jobs to factory farms over 20 years ago. This prop will help give back the job of farming to our 'farmers' and stop these business 'men and women' from treating animals like units of productions.
You do realize that about half of our eggs come from out of state already? And as for that "We can't afford it' bullshit, most family farmers already care for their animals humanely and don't have to worry .The factory farms have six years,SIX!,to get it together, which I think is a bit too lenient. They have no excuse not to comply.Have you seen the ad with Dr.Hutton?
Her maiden name is Delmer,as in big daddy egg company Demler eggs.Funny,I thought doctors were supposed to tell the truth.
I have never in my life eaten veal because i knew how they treated the calves. Pigs and chickens are not treated any better. If I could vote against it I would.
