Male african lion=CAMERON + big big mane and the sexy white tigress zabu , the icon from BCR , when i died i want my grave in this 2 majestic animals spot , they will protect my soul , gj BCR i send 300 more bucks , plz help this majestic animals
@papergaal No, this never happens, we get the question a lot but there is no where in the world that releases captive bred tigers or lions back into the wild. Especially our cats that are cross bred and inbred the genetics are not good. White tigers do no t exist in the wild either, they are a man made animal, suffering form many health problems due to the inbreeding :(
@papergaal We rescue cats then provide them with a permanent home for the rest of their lives, this is the best we can do for them, we educate the public about the plight of these cats in the wild and in captivity and are constantly pushing for the laws to be changed to prevent private ownership of these animals among other things :)
@Choy178 They are extremely rare in the wild, one in 10,000 tigers born is white and they don't survive long in the wild because they are white and with only around 3000 - 3500 tigers left in the wild they are rare, rare, rare! They are selectively inbred in captivity by people and all suffer from health problems, there's no reason to breed them but the public demand to see them so they are bred.
@BigCatRescue if you guys save a female tiger and don't know if she is going to babies and she had birth the day after she got there what well happen to her cubs
They don't want to be in some jail cage, let them go back to Africa they get fed dead animals, they never get to enjoy what they live for which is sinking there teeth into a breathing animal you idiots think you "rescuing them".
Big cats can't simply be released back into the wild, we rescue our cats form bad situations and provide them with a permanent home for the rest of their lives :)
@B3astmodee Remember "Born Free"? Elsa the lioness was captive from the time she was a small cub. The Adamsons were able to rehabilitate and release her, but she had to have a lot of training and trial and error learning skills her mom would have taught her. It was a major undertaking.
These two cats have never been wild. They don't know any life different from what they have. They don't long for what they don't know. There is less and less "wild" to return them to.

Man I love them both. I was looking at zabu for sec and Im like she's huge! then, I saw Cameron and I couldnt believe my eyes at his bulk! Can I please ask if Cameron is Asiatic or African? He looks like a Barbary lion to me!
That is the first time I've seen Zabu in her pool! She loves it!! She is sooo beautiful, with her lovely blue eyes. I know its wrong to breed white tigers, but Zabu is exquisite. Thanks for taking care of her and Cameron, the handsome boy!
he's a barbary lion. from the barbary coast of west africa, i believe. it's (previously thought to be extinct) sub-species of african lion. redicovered in captivity by pure luck sometime in the last 20 or so years. i recall watching the news itewm as i have a more than passing interest in anything feline related.
is cameron an atlas lion? you know, those ones extinct in wild. By the way, you're doing a great job caring this animals. I hope I could visit BCR if I travel to florida sometime
I am gathering so many friends and family so we can start donating monthly to this great place. It brings me so much joy to see these animals finally be rescued from their undeserved situations. Were they both fully grown when rescued?
MaiForosh, Thankyou for your support, we really appreciate it. Cameron and Zabu were fully grown when we rescued them and now share a 2 acre enclosure in the centre of the sanctuary!
On average, what is the size for a single big cat? I know there was a video one female lion that could not be socialized, and there are probably more. Two acres must be appreciated by Zabu and Cameron.
I'm so glad there are groups like Big Cat Rescue out there working to save these magnificent animals. If we humans don't do something to protect our animals, then who will?
You guys are doing a great thing, keep up the awesome work! I really appreciate it and so do other lovers of these amazing creatures, we should all do our part to help spread the word.
They really are magnificent creatures, created by God the same as we are. They deserve to be respected as such. After all, God didn't go to the trouble of creating such beautiful creatures to have them disrespected.
I love all cats, big and small, and I love watching videos of the tigers of BCR.
This video got me a bit emotional. Its unbelievable how much abuse these animals probably went through and how many of them are going through right now. Ive always hated circus and items with animal fur and will try to spread this video and message around more. You guys are doing a wonderful thing, keep it up.
Genie990, THANK YOU for the kind comment. Spreading the word is the best way to begin change. We apreciate you saving the video as a favorite and adding it to various groups around YouTube. That would really help spread the word. THANK YOU, again.

Wow, thanks for saving them. I wrote a letter at CatLaws. I've got a question, since white tigers are made by matine the father with the daughter the mother with the son etc., it isn't the same with white Servals is it? But then how do white Servals come to be, or is it the same way as the white tigers? And how long have Zabu and cameron been at big cat rescue? Thanks, bye! shanimanu <3
All white exotics, tigers, lions, servals, etc. are the result of inbreeding. That is one reason why we will never breed the white servals at the sanctuary, even though we were offered 75,000 each for them. Their parents must have been closely related. Back yard breeders do not keep good records and that is why none of the cats they breed could ever be released back to the wild.
Dear AirRick16, The lion had lost more than half of his body weight according to volunteers who had been caring for him before his rescue and you can see how the tigress' sides were caved in by her hips from the sudden weight loss.
The thing that gave me chills is at 1:13, when the lion paces along the fence. He seems to be pacing the size of the cage he was in for such a long time...
