  • This actor is absolutely wonderful

  • I didnt mean creepy. Its a powerful song that shows jud is a real person. With feelings and wants. Not just a monster

  • Yep... it's a creepy song.

  • I am playing jud this year and this song gives me goosebumps i hope i can deliver.

  • I did Oklahoma 2 and a half years ago, and I played Judd. I still catch myself singing this song from time to time.

  • Amazing performance, but I'm infinitely depressed after hearing that song :(

  • This is the best jud I've seen so far on broadway

  • i love oklahoma! i was in the chorus when my high schol did okahoma! this year. i like this song a lot

  • I love Oklahoma I'm playing Laurey in my community theaters version!

  • Bravo!!! I wanna see more!

  • "I don't want her either". Classic line, and very good delivery.

  • JUD IS IN RAGE MODE!

  • Good song and powerful performance. Sad that this song was cut from the film adaptation.

  • Idaho.....the hub of theater.

  • good song.

  • excellent! Very well played.

  • this is my favorite song in the play. I am playing jud and it is so fun to do. It is a very powerful song.

  • @bandfreak14 I also got the chance to play the part of Jud in Oklahoma. Our final show is tomorrow. And you're right, this is one of the most powerful songs in the play, and Jud is a great character to play.

  • I auditioned for Jud last week using this song as my basis when I practiced it. I hope i got it!

  • is this an octave lower than it should be? that illegal.

  • Nope, as written. It may be the darker timbre or resonance that could make it sound lower to some people. Or mens solos are usually written in treble clefs (hence the octave lower) unless youre looking at a Grand Staff, for instance while singing with a chorus. Its just an unwritten editors rule. Sing in the tessitura you are comfortable in. Octaves arent illegal.

  • @barbunc right, like i sung it even lower than he is. im 15, its the only reason they gave me the part...

  • Transposing isn't cheating. Even Stephen Sondheim, who is very specific in his writing to say the least, said himself that if you fit the part then there is no problem in transposition. The only shows you can't transpose are Bernstein because it's against the copyright agreement.

  • @IndigoLeaves nah it's a fairl low registered song...for a baritone. The last 3 words "Call my own" is the highest note and it's only a C# (ocatve above middle C)

  • @IndigoLeaves you're fucking retarded. basses rule.

  • @Evbot2 Nothing sexier than a bass's voice :D

  • i can say that it is one of the strangest songs to sing. when i played jud in 2006, it took me a long time to get it right

  • oooh! put up more vids!

    <3 Mel

  • You should play Danny in Grease! and wear Green and Yellow Tights!! :)

  • yay judd! :) it looks awesome, keep up the good work!

  • O.M.G., I know you and now you are famous!!! You need to get the scandal scene up as soon as possible!
