Lets call a spade a spade!this town is like living in Hell-I know, I lived there for 1 yr , but with all the gangs, gunshots, police pulling you over and checking for guns(3 times, Downtown feels like your in Mexico-And the stores in trailers on the boardwalk???Real classy? Moved to Point Pleasant --Its like coming from a war zone into paradise I will say one thing nice about Asbury, Just 1. the beach is beautiful
Wow, man. You are so outdated with this video. Every single shot you took of Asbury Park must be about four years old since almost every single ruin you showed was torn down LONG ago. The ruined old hotels you show no longer exist. In their place are shops and restaurants and thousands and thousands of visitors enjoying this Jewel on the Jersey Shore. You gotta get out more!
Dude, the main shots in this vid are still there...and if you think a half built water park and some lame ass miniture golf is what the children of Asbury Park need...Dude, you need to get out more. The few shops that have opened on the boardwalk (and yes, that's positive) are for the poor kids living in Asbury Park...Then I can only hope these shops take food stamps and their families are hungry for some dumb ass glass blown foot prints. So,as I said A.P. is hell
Well the whole idea is to kick out the poor people with raising the taxes in the town by having more upscale establishments there. Note how there isn't even an arcade in Asbury Park this summer, its just the thing that all cities want to do like they did in Hoboken, parts of Jersey City, and they're trying to do it to Rahway, and Perth Amboy.
Oh,as for thousands of visitors...R U F**kin kidding me..must have missed that day. And just one more thought...after years of ZERO visitors what kind of lame city goverment starts charging for parking half way thru the summer season...and issues hundreds of parking tickets to those that were good enough to return to A.P. What a great welcome back present. Yes, A.P. is hell
@oboymikee You might want to go down there now. It's changed a lot. I was there this past weekend for one day (Memorial Day weekend) and it's like a different town now.
Yes, but you can look at it another way also...children will play & be oblivious to what is around them & have the greatest time...it's what the adult sees that taints the childrens viewpoint! Kids see the miles of ocean that is right in front of them on the boardwalk, not the rundown hotels...however, YES, destruction is very sad & I agree that it is sad...Asbury is rebuilding as we speak & every day I see more done than has been done in decades! See my videos, they show the good and the bad:-)
There isnt a town or neighborhood in America that doesnt have a couple of bad spots, or a rundown house ... but to say Asbury is hell...so far fetched, its far from hell. Maybe you're just looking at the bad and can't see the beauty.
maybe Im being real...loved and lived the Park...but learned we choose what our eyes see...nothing is more honest then the eyes of children..and what I posted is what they see..sad as hell..dont ya think?
mikee-I'm 24 as well, 1st caught u on xtube(member 2 mos). I luv your vids, the soundtracks and u! Hell is for children, it certainly was for me. I was able to make t thru and am now a CCRN., MSN in a Trauma ICU. I love life and saving lives, but my eyes are wide open to all- can't wear blinders man!
