Underbart! Jag vet att jag har hört Sven-Erik Magnusson och Sven-Ingvars göra den här, men var hittar jag den? Kan ha varit live eller nån TV-inspelning...
"Dear Old Stockholm" IS a cover and "Risingevisan" is the same song (just other text).
The rest of them:
"O, Nederland! Let op u saeck", Smetanas Má vlast/Moldau, the Israel national anthem (Hatikvah), Romanian "Carul cu boi", Camille Saint-Saëns' "Rhapsodies sur des cantiques bretons" et al. is probably all derived from Giuseppino del Biado's "La Mantovana"
But I can't see very much similarities between La Mantovana and Värmlandsvisan. Also Smetana heard it when he lived in Gothenburg.
I like swedish music too, though I don't know much of it nor much about it. :-) The herrinton square concertina is a fine instrument. In this video it sounds a bit like heard through a telephone, but the original sound is very clear. The instrument is quite responsive and the action pretty smooth-running. I have it for years now and never had a problem with it. In short: I love it. :-)
I am pleased that the instrument pleases you. It is a source of personal satisfaction that the instrument will continue to bring pleasure and good music long after I am gone. Thank you for the video.
Bravo!
