As old as this song is (i was just 6 or 7 years old when this came out), It just amazes me when I see stuff that I consider my generations "classic rock" and it still lives on. As with Led Zeppelin and other real classic artist from the 60's and 70's, this music from the 90's will never die.

Also, how can you fault Rage for adding Cornell? This is when de la Rocha went into musical exile because he couldn't stand where the music industry was headed. So Rage found a new, extremely talented vocalist and went in a new direction. I'm glad audioslave happened and we got some cool music instead of Morello, Wilk, and Commerford dropping off the face of the earth. Now Rage might be coming back, and I'm glad, but I couldn't poke at Audioslave. They're a great band.

Morello is the same as he was. So are Brad and Timmy. And Cornell has the same views (for the most part) as they do. His style just isn't the same. Give him a break. It's expression of voice and opinion, and it's just as every bit Cornell's song if he has the same ideas. And even if that's not true, it's still Tom's, Tim's, and Brad's. (Every band member contributed to the RATM debut)

Cornell's vocals aren't dead, i actually prefer is low register now. He's found different ways to be good. Don't get me wrong, he'll never be doing Beyond the Wheel, SH2H, or slaves&bulldozers again, but he is in the top 5 of vocalists today. I would say though RIP CC's vocal HEROICS: 1988-1994

ok, like i said, no credibility. I loved Rage, and Zach. But here's the thing, Cornell composed, played an instrument pretty damn well, and is regarded as a lyrical genius. Zach, he's pretty good with a pen too, but he doesn't touch Chris in musical ability. Someday you'll develop a taste in music and you'll come around.

You kick ass. I get tired of people always saying that Chris Cornell isn't anything compared to Zack de la Rocha. I will admit that Rage Against the Machine is one of my favorite bands, but come on. Chris Cornell is very easily a better singer and musician than Zack de la Rocha ever was. Zack wrote some cool lyrics, but as far as talent Cornell has him beat. The way Chris Cornell sings in Soundgarden is amazing, especially in Jesus Christ Pose. He may be the best vocalist ever.

Aside from fredie mercury, and maybe robert plant, chris is the best vocalist in rock history. He does a great job with sleep now and killing itno, he sounds better than zach too, not as much emotion. This was actually a pretty awesome performance. Sure, its not Zach -- he chose to leave the band, but Audioslave is still doing what lots of old Rage fans want to hear regardless.

Chris puts his own vocal spin on it here, and it sounds pretty cool. I love the part right after the chorus when he screams "control". Tom's solo is awesome, as always.

I loved RATM and I liked Soundgarden. When I heard about Audioslave, I refused to even give them a chance. Finally I listened to them and even downloaded a couple of their songs. Chris Cornell actually did a lot better with this than I thought he could. Not nearly the same, but that would go under the category of "no shit". I liked it, honestly. I think Rage is better, but Audioslave still rock and they should feel free to do a Rage song every now and then.
