  • SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!

  • She didn't use fingers, but a slurf. That's really good.

  • Dat elephant ass.

  • do you thin k its real?????I dont know..look at the trumpets movement..looks like a human arm dressed as an elephant..(look at the elbow-angle ) and the stiff movements....I dont think its an elephant painting!

  • @LambertsLabelle It's real, but they just torture the elephant to repeat the motion while holding the brush so they paint this picture

  • Love my elephants very sweet

hope they really pamper her in her life

  • Well... that is better than I Can draw elephants...

  • I saw elephants painted last week at Lampang, Thailand.

They are happy that I realized how talent they were.

  • i hope you people realize that he wasent born with the ability to draw.

he was most likely trained brutally so that he could do that.

just like the in the circus

  • @CuteYummy4 Yeah, because if you hurt an elephants trunk it's going to just go along with it... probably get brained.

However, you are right, they don't do it naturally. When being taught to paint, the elephant's trunk is guided (gently) by the mahout (trainer) in the shape of what they are to paint. They're still doing it themselves at the actual show, but it's muscle memory as opposed to creativity.

  • Супер!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how is this possible????

  • @Sk8errox1 its not i bet its fake

  • And he was 7 years old when he painted that!

  • I wonder why she painted them from the rear-view? Does that somehow indicate her position in the herd? I can't even paint that well!!!

  • @SusanQ83642 Very good point! I'm no expert, but I would say you're likely right. The painting itself could quite well be a recollection of a memory.

  • @SusanQ83642 first of all I'm pretty sure it's a HE not a SHE. and second, I think that he "got everyone's back", that's why he painted them from behind.

  • @kostov9 How do you know the gender? Did you peek underneath?? I said "she" because I don't know the gender!

  • @SusanQ83642 Only male elephants have tusks, so i assumed it was a HE.

  • @SusanQ83642 because it's easier, obviously.

  • Does anyone know the name of the song from the video?

  • Comment removed

  • fake and ghey

  • @AFGalwayz

If you truly think this is fake then you, my friend, are an idiot.

  • @valzilla2000 its cgi you can see the guy's hand holding the trunk when he is painting this is BS the trunk is a guy's glove!

  • that is a renaissance artist reincarnated as an elephant

PS i found my green pencil with a red eraser

  • This is sick! Paints better then me xD Didn´t know they were capable of these things :o

  • omg :')

  • the elephant paints better than me...

  • This is not fair...I took 2 years of art class and the elephant is better than me?!! I'm getting my money back!

  • Elephant porn

  • If you look at some of the other videos you can see the trainers hand guiding the elephants trunk. The elephant isn't truly painting. It's merely a trick. The elephant has just been trained to hold the brush.

  • @a500603497384

nonetheless it is sweet why go and dispute something so sweet

    Don't you love all animals

  • And then some people say animals don't realize anything... so sad..

  • @horsepheus I've never heard anyone say "animals don't realize anything". What an absurd comment.

  • @horsepheus You're very gullible.

  • Fake

  • it's just natural that we like asses :D

  • this faggot sucks i am better

  • lewl. elephant thinks its people

  • Prove it...

  • I would like to see this when I come to Thailand! Can anyone tell me which town this is? And if we can ride elephants there also?

  • 14 people are trying to deny the fact that the elephants are way better than them :/

  • I think this is so amazing!!!!, what I think is even more amazing is that 14 people dislike this...wtf?

  • At the beginning I thought the song was going to be the Vibrators' (or the Exploited's cover of) Troops of Tomorrow!

  • IVORY HUNTERS..WATCH THIS!!!

  • Just wow ...

  • amazing! I love animals

  • This isn't a self-portrait. He's painting other elephants - it's not like that's his own butt.

  • More intelligent and talented than most people.

  • Impressive, but this elephant is totally out of it's element

  • It's beautiful :) eleohants are amazing cretures

  • That shows they are intelligent, doenst it?

  • Name of the song please?

  • Thats LEgit. Im buying that!

  • would be more interested in wath would happen if you let the elephant do with it what he wants

  • probably what he wants to see, the back of his herd

  • this is done by training the elephant doesn't even know what it's painting so it's not self expression animals don't have that.. but again this is really great how this elephant did it so well!!

  • I am absolutely blown away at the fact this beautiful animal has the capacity to reason like this. Much more intelligent than we give them credit! Makes my heart sing...I hope they are taking good care of this sweety!

  • omg an elephant can draw better than me o.o

  • I'm the only who thinks that this is SO SAD :(

He drew tho little babies with their mum... they miss her for sure :(

  • Show this to anyone who thinks animals are just instinkt-driven.

    -and to a gallerist.

  • this is amazing...

  • How can such an intelligent and powerful animal be tought to perform tricks for stupid tourists? By pure torture! Do NOT visit such performances, nor take elephant rides or go to a circus!

Look in Youtube for these searchwords:

    * behind the Siamese smile

    * Thai elephants - abused entertainment

  • @retardness13 intelligence fucks intelligence fucks intelligence

  • wish he would teach me how to paint

  • damn this is crazy

  • busted

  • fake

  • @outpost23 okayy... your just plain retarded

  • @outpost23 Dude, it's not fake, it's a well-documented thing, elephants paint because they have great memories and their trunks are very flexible and good for detail and stuff. It's 100% real, but they have been trained and all.

  • lol even elephants look at butts and see if they got booty....perverted elephants..LOL

  • I can't even train most humans to paint with such accuracy humor and flair. It seems that they know what they are painting, even if they do repeat the same images. Creating an easily repeated formula is what I see any artist or crafts person doing when working in a tourist environment ...'ever been to a craft show? Humans as a whole are so exceedingly arogant. If we next see painting cows that may just stop my trips to Burger King ON A DIME!

  • i like banannas

  • How were thes animals trained to do this?!

  • LOL he took the easy route wtf drawn the back image, noob elephant do a front portrait :)

  • The Elephant is trained and forced to draw these. Good talent I guess but nothing creative and these tailand cons are making a killing

  • I wonder how many lashings the poor bleeder took before he pulled this off. I heard of 1 that was taught how to go up and down a half pipe on a skateboard. He recieved 62 thrashings a day, then it was shot because local authoritys blamed the devil.

  • @rastan1977

i think you are wrong about these elephants in particular. they have been rescued and rehabilitated, treated with the respect and praise they deserve, raised in captivity because conditions in the wild are unsafe for them - ivory is always in high demand, you know.

  • um......holy fucking goddamn shit yall!!

  • I'm struggling to enjoy the music and the video at the same because it's just too gooooooooooooooood.

  • how much would an original set me back?

  • I love this!! I just showed it to my students and one said, 'I want one of those to do all the homework for me" lol. Its just amazing!!

  • wow, its just amazing ! :)

  • can't be real.

  • @PowerfulDragon Oh it's real. I've seen this elephant on the news before. It's amazing isn't it?

  • @Nakor420ish yeah, i looked it up on snopes, and they say it's real too. golly.

  • @PowerfulDragon Yeah, damn elephant draws better than me. I'd like to get an elephant painting and frame it. Would make an excellent convo piece.

  • Though they're very intelligent, I don't think they draw from scratch. I'd say they've been taught to draw shapes and they actually don't know what they just painted.

  • This is the most beautiful thing in the world!

  • I'm glad there are places like this for elephants.

  • If he took a few professional art classes and really applied himself he might be able to make a career in painting.

  • That elephant is amazing, the art is amazing, and the music is amazing.

Overall, this video is amazing x3.

  • they can paint and apparently they can write as well!!!!!!!!!

elephants are gonnna take over the world one day

    they are so awesome

  • ไอ้พวกที่กด dislike นี่พวกโง่

  • Now we know who made those drawings in the caves back in the stone age!

  • @orkeer yeah they painted Mona Lisa also ...

  • I think the elephant misses or wants a family.

  • When shown various images of paintings, elephant artists always respond really well to Van Gogh works.

Makes you wonder how Van Gogh saw the world - and if perhaps his unique way of seeing things is closer in connection to the feeling of what it must be like to be an animal.

  • This elephant must be an artist in his pervious life.........

  • Well we know what's been on this elephants mind aaaalll day !

  • @Mammasaymammasaw THAT ASS

  • @DJSJB07 LOL

  • I know there is question as to whether or not these elephants are trained to paint these things. Do I believe it? Yes, I think they're trained to hold the brush and put it to paper. No, I don't think they're trained to paint specific things. We have no way of knowing how deep an elephant's psyche can go. It's possible this image is straight from the mind and heart of the elephant painting it.

  • I think elephants get beaten to make them draw this, in order to attract tourism and gain cash. Elephants may have a good deal of intelligence, but I don't believe it knows what its drawing, rather knows what its trained to do.

  • cute

  • That elephant looks tasty!

  • Comment removed

  • Maybe someone should show this to Bob Parsons of GoDaddy.

  • чудесно, так поднимает настроение!!!

  • Really beautiful, brought a tear to my eye...

  • This Elephant can draw better than me.

  • that elephant paints better than i do...

  • very kind and intelligent, I love elephant

  • I think she/he is telling a story of him/her self

  • My bathroom could do with a repaint but it may be toooo small for her, great vid , shows that we mistreat them at out peril

  • Does she do it all by herself, or did someone teach her to paint individual motives?

  • @Ilamarea Thats what I am curious about too. I would think that they taught the elephant one picture to paint and that's what they paint but you never know.

  • @Ilamarea

I'm curious to know this as well, because if she didn't figure it out herself it's a glorified trick that really any dextrous animal could learn.

  • @risonhighmer

    Not really.

Elephants are sure not the only ones capable of suh thing thought.

  • maybe it's trying to say it wants kids =)

  • well, the video says that is a self-portrait to approach the elephant to the category of Velazquez, Van Gogh and the such, but maybe he's just painting an old love, a scene that obssesses the elephant or what-not, even a dream; in that case it would be much more interesting. Anyway; an animal this big is unable to see itself in the mirror. All my respect for this animals, many humans should learn from them

  • I love Elephants!! I pray someday all people understand how important all of God's creatures are and stop mistreating them. And why are people fighting and cussing on this log of all places??? Turn the volume up and let the music and this amazing animal cool you down, seriously...just showing the world how smart the elephants are and how dumb humans are

  • elephants have indian brain, and u bitches bettur recognize.

  • @dicklips25 Actually, they have an elephant brain.

  • wonder how much beating they've gone under to be able to do this

  • better than i can draw :b

this video is so inspirational. (:

but its also saddening how these beautiful and intelligent creatures are going extinct, all because of us ):

  • @Pzychoo16

dude you have no idea of what you are talking about, just because you go threw wikipedia copy n paste "facts" doesnt prove

youa thing why you ask? because u jus repeated exactly what i said, only in wiki terms you dumb fuck i suggest you go and get your facts straight, ur talking to a person who is involved with more than 8% of his brain

the .01% is for talkn to ppl like you

  • Now I love elephants even more! lol

  • @whoever insulted me first lol

look dumbass if humans only use about 8 percent of our brain through half our lifetime 1 percent on stupid shit alll their life, and 2 percent to work study make money and think about the

future what does that prove to you

that means humans are capable of doind so many things, like teching 2d perspectives and so on... get cho facts straight boy

  • @Jadenparadox

only 8 percent of our brain is in our concious acts, the rest of the brain is also in use, without it your heart wouldn't

beat, etc. I suggest you get YOUR facts straight before you tell others to do so.

  • Cool

  • cool

but thing is they draw after the humans(we)teach them we teach them to draw and memory

    animals act on instibct

  • @Jadenparadox you're clearly dumber then this elephant! the fact that elephants have the ability to perceive and use symbols of 3d nature in 2d is whats amazing! humans can't tech perception!

  • @Jadenparadox sounds like someone is desperately trying to convince himself that he is smarter than elephant lol

  • I think shes drawing portraites about elephants is because she wants to be free. She wants to be with the other elephant on a field or african forest XD She just wants to be free like on the picture :)

  • To those asking how the elephant learned to paint: it was likely taught the strokes, and is now able to complete the painting by memory, incorporating its own flourishes. According to others here, however, the elephant is tortured, whipped and maimed until it's capable of reproducing the Mona Lisa, and is remotely controlled marionette-style by tugging on its right ear.

  • Beautiful!

  • Beautiful

  • How did this elephant learn to draw? Take a night class?

  • How did this elephant learn to draw? Take a night class?

  • I wish one day elephants would talk and say how stupid and ignorant humans are. I really do.

  • What really is important here is that creavity used to be one of the main characteristics assigned to us (humans) that devides us from all other species on earth. This clip proves that theory wrong.

  • @slumberjammer Sorry but the only creativity involved belongs to the trainers who worked with the animal to teach it to reproduce that image. Look it up on hoax-slayer(d0t)com. Be safe, be skeptical.

  • @TojoPanther

I was already thinking that myself aswell. Still it is an interesting queston if animals have creativity or not :)

  • @TojoPanther Which is how any painter, even human ones learns the craft - they reproduce existing works over and over, and then eventually add their own flourishes, which is what the elephants are doing by going over lines, putting in the finer details, etc. Hong, the main elephant that's usually doing the painting, is a good example of such skill development. Being "safe" and "skeptical" shouldn't mean drowning others in your own cynicism. Be open minded, be embracing.

  • @comradeharley I agree with SkimbleProductions below. It's an illusion. Hoping for greatness where there is none can be called either faith or naivete.

  • @girlisnuts You mustn't be too familiar with animals then - there are endless examples of animal creativity, and to think that a tug behind the ear governs the precise movements of the elephant's trunk is, pardon me saying so, ridiculous. Elephants are incredibly intelligent, and while what we see in the video may be mimicry to a degree, it is ultimately the elephant governing the creative action. Cynicism can be called closed mindedness or ignorance. I'll let you pick which one.

  • @comradeharley Whatever you call it, I call it being grown up. I know it's a little sad to lose the sweetness of childhood but I think it's like coming to know that there is no santa claus - Some of you obviously still believe. Anyway, I wish you were right but I know you aren't. Good luck to you.

  • @girlisnuts uh ... there's no santa claus? Does the tooth fairy about know about this?

  • @slumberjammer Indeed it does - but cynics will see what cynics will see. At least you and I can marvel in the beauty of it all.

  • I want that picture! :)

  • What's the name of the song playing in the background on this video?

  • The elephant's trainers are tugging at the hair on the elephants ears slowly which has been pre-taught to the elephant to produce specific movement in their trunk. So the lifetime trainer guides the elephant's trunk specifically on the canvas. The impressive part isn't the painting itself, but the muscle control of the elephant. So there isn't really elephant creativity, more the illusion of.

Also, the each elephant paints the same picture every day for years.

  • I was there... it's actually fake. (Snopes examined it too).

The elephants are trained to paint the same pictures over and over again. Specifically, I saw them paint one, and they had the same one already in the gift shop.

  • @apsdil geez, you are missing the point here. Who cares if they paint the same picture over and over and over again? The fact that this is an ELEPHANT! The fact that this elephant CAN paint!!!! Can you paint???? LOL

  • @apsdil @apsdil geez, you are missing the point here. Who cares if they paint the same picture over and over and over again? The fact that this is an ELEPHANT! The fact that this elephant CAN paint!!!! Can you paint???? LOL

  • i just wanna hug this big lovely animal. you've made my day. :)

  • It was cute when she was painting the second baby's tail :)

  • Someones arm inside a trunk.

  • Interesting perspective, the way it drew them from behind, as if they were leaving, or it were just following.

Don't you know these paintings are worth a small fortune. I don't think chimps can even paint this good (can they?).

  • @TheMrBlinx

looks more like a view from the front. the line being the trunk

  • @OpiatedBliss Nope. Note the tail.

  • @TheMrBlinx

    nope note the trunk

  • @OpiatedBliss Look at how the ears are. That is not how an elephant's ears look from the front. Also notice there are no eyes or tusks. What you are calling a trunk is just the space between the back legs. That's why there's a tail above it.

  • @TheMrBlinx

ok mister 'knows the elephants intentions'. you win!

  • @OpiatedBliss those elephants are not that stupid.haha. they really can draw.

  • Does anyone know about the music? Where can I get this track and/or others like it?

  • Does anyone know about the music in this video? Artist? Where I can get this track and others like it?

I think this is incredible. What a beautiful animal and what an amazing thing to see!

  • this is cool cause its not like other stupid animal painting where the animals just holds a brush and draw lines

  • stop arguing guys and just admire this elephants amazing talent

  • YOU PIECE OF SHITT HUMAN , EAT ONLY VEGAN FOOD , OTHERWISE NUCLEAR BOMB WILL BLOW YOUR ASS , BITCHES !!!!!!!

  • @soskisoskisoski u r a noob @ life

  • @soskisoskisoski What are you talking about? The Human race is designed to eat meat through millions of years or survival and slow adaptation and evolution.

  • @soskisoskisoski I read this while eating chicken, hmm..

  • EAT ONLY VEGAN !!!!!! YOU ALL MUZZE FFUCKEZ , DEAD SHITS !

  • @soskisoskisoski If you didn't notice from human history but, we're carnivores... Our teeth are designed to rip, tear and chew meat. So I will say NO to your vegan ass.
