  • great engine, very good car, i ve a rover 45 , the look is the same

  • How slow... Not bad for a rover i guess

  • f u like this vid watch mine about mg plz my utube name is

    bills7197

    thanks

  • very nice car, i have a rover 45 1600, but i need more power

  • the k4 was a renamed honda derivative

  • Excellent complete lack of car knowledge skills

  • ....hahahahaha its rover!!

  • the kv6 engines arnt the ones with the head gasket probz. its the kv4 with the v4 light aluminium head that tends to blow if thrashed from cold and not looked after, kv6 i find are very reliable engines, abit lazy when revving but you get nice low down torque from any gear.

  • No KV4 existed.

  • @HoeBlogggs

exactly. K4 and KV6. who the hell makes a V4 in the 21st century?!

  • Correct except there was no KV4 - K4. Although they did successfully race them in BTCC in 2L form and they proved quite reliable - they even managed quite a high placing in the table. The reason for the 'lazy' revving - the long stroke, short stroke engines like those used in Hondas S2000 have a short stroke but rely on high and instant revs to produce power and acceleration.. down side is not enough torque.

  • My rover kv6 sterling has 175k miles on it now never had any head gasket problem has never had a service starts 1st time and goes like stink got a pic of me doing 130mph at 4.5k revs (private track )wasnt even breaking a sweat the engine is fantastic when rover went bust i bought a new engine for a spare just in case lol

  • is it an automatic gearbox? shifting seems kinda slow.

  • This is manuel gearbox but it's true that it's a little bit long.. not the best gearbox in the world...

  • my 1.8 would eat this pile of shit alive, v6=shit!!

  • Stfu!!

  • eat shit!

  • Make Me!

  • shut up stupid cunt, u know nothing!!!!!!

  • Prove it!

  • so thats it 200km/h (120mph) ??? thats shit from a 2.5 v6, check my vid, 1.8 mgzs doin 135, let me know what ya think!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • seems pretty fast, careful not to blow your HG with the high revving.

  • Before someone else comes out with yet another stupid comment about head gaskets, you may wish to get your facts right first.

The V6 does not have head gasket issues, only the 4 cylinders are prone.

If you'd have done a little research you would have known this and you would not feel like a idiot right now.

  • thanks alot guys for all the info your all stars

  • i have just fitted an induction kit and have booked it in with superchips in salisbury. been told the chip adds 10-12bhp and induction kit 5 bhp. what will this take the 0-60 time down to. thanks

  • Be careful with the superchip! 10-12bhp is optimistic, especially for around 300quid. Second, the superchip is preset to remap a standard ecu, on a standard car. Generally you should do ALL the mods you plan to do, and then get the remapping done. Superchips cant make a custom map to accomodate your modifications

  • PS, Dastek do can do a custom ecu remap. I'll be taking my zed there eventually, but I'll finish my list of other mods first. There's no point getting an ecu remap, and then adding more mods - the chip wont accomodate them.

  • what is the top speed of these cars. just brought one and have had it to 130 no problem and it still felt like there was 10-15 mph left in it. and what is 0-60 mph

  • standard top end 145 0-60 7.3.

i think its booked at less than 145 but can achieve standard

  • The ZS180 is based on a Honda platform with double wishbones and is lowerred 20mm with gas shocks so it handles very well. It's real advantage over (any) car at this level is a V6 - all its rivals like the Focus ST, Clio182 and Civic VTR have high revving 4 cylinders which this engine walks all over.... it will have a better lifespan and is smoother on a cruise. Sensational.

    Duderino

  • What a load of bullshit. So V6's have better lifespans becaus they are V shaped? DICKHEAD.

  • focus st is a 5 cylinders asshole

  • It depends on weather he ment the st170

  • Yep, it's N/A as well so fewer things to go wrong.

    I love the KV6.

  • it must of been a big hill and its is a good car

  • Great car for the money though

  • wish we had these in america

  • This was filmed while going down hill

  • Yes it's true, just at the beginning of a motorway, with 2 people on board and any luggage. But I didn't made it for top speed or espacialy to show performances, but for sound and show how long must be the gearbox... sight...
