  • i like your videos nice vid man

  • How was what happened to the banks not socialism? Or the energy companies?

  • @Kronus420 ... or GM? ... I never said it wasn't.

As for my video response, I tried to stay on topic as much as possible & respond to each quippy remark separately. Feel free to give a more detailed opinion / argument if you'd like.

  • Semper Fi.

  • Liberals are ruining our country. Everyone feels a sense of entitlement these days. What happened to personal responsibility?!

  • This is awesome!

  • @15wildhockey15 Thanks for stopping by. Compliments are rare, so thanks for taking the time to comment. Cheers. ;)

  • **Ring Ring**

Operator: Good morning, how may I help you?

    Caller: Stop socialised health care!

Operator: May I ask why you oppose this change?

Caller: Some guy on YouTube told me to with a propaganda video and since I have no individual thoughts I am going to side with him.

    **Operator hangs up**

  • @2DumbKidsVideo You sound like an intelligent guy. So this i have to ask:

Why did you miss the point of the parody video with the celebrities?

  • @Darksteel1335 This question has been answered several times.

  • I suppose thats great in theory, much like communism is a good theory but bad in pracitice (from each according to his ability to each according to his need). Lets look at one example of the top of my head where this would be chaos. John Doe works for XYZ Corp. in San Francisco...receiving 100% free public health care from Cali. Jane Doe works in the same position for the same company in Houston but has to pay for her benefits...you don't see a problem ensuing? We are ONE nation not 50.

  • @CombatVet1977 I apologize for the delay in my response.

Actually, we are 50 small individual nation states operating under a common defense / central bank, hence the name "United States". Otherwise, we would have federal drivers licenses / marriage licenses etc. (CONTINUED)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo The federal government, in the interest of states rights, was granted limited power under the constitution to provide only those things in which individuals have no ability (or a conflict of interest) to provide for their own (ie: National Defense etc). (CONTINUED)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo To be honest, your comment and reference to Marx is somewhat confusing. You obviously understand that communism does not work. As you said, you have an understanding of basic economic principles (ie: Supply & Demand / Price Fixing). Socialism essentially operates on the same principle (ie: centralized state control of private property and price fixing). (CONTINUED)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo You also seem to understand that people will move away from these socialist states and gravitate towards the states that respect private property rights and that this will cause those more socialist states to eventually fail... and yet, you seem to believe that if we allow the Federal Government to force every state to adopt such a mandate, that it will not result in the same communist / socialist problems that Eastern / Western Europe has faced for EVERY state. (CONTINUED)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo I guess what I would like from you before we go any further is for you to tell me what you think we should do. Do you believe that we would be better off with only a federal single payer option? If so, why? Try to keep your answers economic / incentive based. Game theory / behavioral econ is always welcome. If you can keep your answer as tidy as possible, I'll will also try to take each point one at a time and keep my answers as tidy / short as possible. Thanks.

  • First off who said I'm a Democrat? I'm not a Republican either...both are equally stupid IMO.I'm a career military officer with Libertarian leanings if anything. Ok back on point, the current health care system (not the newly enacted legislation) is flawed, hopefully we agree there. So whats your solution? A moderate level of goverment regulation is necessary in any society (see the unregulated mortgage industry as an example) And FYI I know plenty of MA's too, and likewise am unimpressed.

  • @CombatVet1977 I never said you were a democrat.... but you're not showing a strong understanding of libertarianism either.

Thank you for getting back on topic. Who knows, If we can avoid future snide remarks, stay focused, and ditch the academic pissing contest we might actually be able to have a reasonable discussion here. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) Regarding the current state of health care, yes, we can agree that it is not without its flaws. However, one must ask how we got to this point to begin with. The FEDERAL government has managed to wiggle its way deeply into the health care industry since WW2. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) As for the recent mortgage crisis, although slightly off topic, you have to ask yourself... Why was the FED holding rates artificially low and making money so cheap? Why was the government incentivizing individuals (through government backed loans / ie: Fannie & Freddie's 40 year loans) to buy homes that they otherwise couldn't afford? (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo I'm no anarchist. I have a respect for a reasonable / small government (and your military service for that matter) as long as that government only does what its citizens can not possibly do for themselves (ie: build roads, defend its sovereign borders, etc). (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo My solution is quite simply for the FEDERAL government to get out of the way and to allow states to compete ideologically against each other. If you want to live in a state that has ridiculously high taxes and a single payer health care system, fine. If you don't, you're free to move. May the best ideas win. Honestly, I really don't care as long as you don't come looking for handouts because you blew all of your federal interstate funding on a failing health care plan.

  • Well, for the record I have a bachelors in Business Economics and My MBA as well, so we're on level ground on that account. I lived in Europe for several years myself. The cost of gas is something called deterence. It encourages individuals to use (far superior and publicly funded) public transportation. Not only much more environmentally responsible, but more financially responsible too. I understand your 10th amendment argument...guess the south should have kept slaves too according to you lol

  • @CombatVet1977 Price is an indicator of worth. It serves as its own natural mechanism of deterrence if allowed to function as such. Furthermore, I refuse to grant the (federal) government (through legal precedent) the right to use my tax dollars as a deterrence against me or my right to private property.

Okay, I'll humor the subject change... but just this once. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) More environmentally responsible? According to who? You? A centralized authoritarian state? I'm sure that the cash for clunkers program that incentivized people to crush brand new cars for tax rebates was "environmentally friendly". (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) Financially responsible? To who? You? I can't make deliveries for my business / ADD VALUE TO THE ECONOMY using PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. I'm sure it's really great for graphic designers who want to live in an efficiency apartment and commute to their hipster loft office with nothing more than a briefcase but for everyone else (that pays for it) it's useless and it only compounds the cost of doing business / consumer goods. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) Wow, slavery. Very original. Another typical Lib argument / troller response. NO, states DO NOT have the constitutional right to limit inalienable rights. We fought a war over it. An amendment to the constitution was made legitimately according to the rules put forth by the constitution. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) Wait a second... what exactly is you're point there anyway? Are you suggesting that we should just throw the 10th Amendment out the window simply because the constitution ultimately prevailed as it was meant to in abolishing slavery (13th amendment)? What you're trying to do here is get me to engage in an emotional argument about slavery but the fact is you really don't have a point. Go figure. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) BUT, I guess we could go down that road... I can talk about how the Democrat Party SUPPORTED slavery (ie: Dred Scott Decision = legislation from the bench), founded / supported the KKK, enacted Native American removal acts, interned Japanese citizens during WW2 etc... (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) ... then you can tell me how the parties have flip-flopped (another typical lib argument), then I can prove you wrong again by citing examples like the late Robert Byrd (recruiter for the KKK / Democrat Senator), and then you can change the subject again. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) OR, I could warn you once more that I don't tolerate trolling and you need to either make a case against my logic / video regarding the Obama health care plan, or you will be flushed from the forum. You have been given plenty of opportunity already to do so.

OR, I suppose you could create another screen name and start the process all over again. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) And no, your MBA is not on a level playing field with my MA. There's a big difference between being able to label a supply & demand graph and using advanced calculus / econometrics to derive said graphs. That MBA might impress the kiddies... but not me. I know enough MBA's to know better. Good day.

  • Constitution can't force you to purchase anything....hmmmm...well lets forget the fact that you're denying progress and want to "stick to your guns" on a 200+ year old document that was intended to be amended but lets look at that. With that logic you believe that we should NOT be forced to buy Auto insurance, Medical malpractice insurance, or forced to buy homeowners insurance on bank loans?? WOW...I hope you are never in charge of anything other than a 7/11 lol

  • @CombatVet1977 You display a complete lack of understanding or respect for the powers granted to the FEDERAL government within the confines of the US Constitution. The mandates in which you reference are not given by the FEDERAL government, they come from STATE authority. These powers are granted within the 10th amendment. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Socialized health care is not a FEDERAL matter, it is a STATE matter, and if you want to live in a hippy-liberal state that mandates socialized health care simply pack up and move to Massachusetts and leave Texas out of it (where we don't have a state income tax I might add). (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) FURTHERMORE, You are NOT compelled to purchase auto insurance if you (A) Choose not to drive on public tax funded highways. (B) Carpool, ride a bike, or use public transportation or (C) Can show proof of financial responsibility to meet a state required threshold. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) The insurance examples you have given are required to PROTECT OTHER PARTIES from loss or damage due to YOUR negligence, and NOT to protect you and your property, which is why you are only required to purchase a certain amount of LIABILITY coverage, and NOT necessarily FULL COVERAGE. Federally mandated health care is not on the same plane whatsoever. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) Granting this type of authority to the federal government through legal precedent is malignant at best. You are granting politicians (possibly of a party not your own) the ability to reward political allies and PUNISH political enemies through health care policy and regulation. Let's turn the tables for a moment... would you trust me or my political ideologies with YOUR health care if I were in power? I doubt it. Be careful what you wish for. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) PS: For the record, I have a Masters in Economics and I have built 4 small businesses from the ground up over the last decade, all of which are still in business today and doing quite well I might add (paying for my education).

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) Additionally, Obama Care is not an AMENDMENT to the constitution. It is an attempt to establish legal precedent by manipulating wording of the "commerce clause". It is intended to gradually funnel citizens into a federal single payer program against their will.

The commerce clause has allowed the FEDERAL government to regulate interstate trade, but never has it been used to compel individuals to ENGAGE in economic activity. (continued)

  • To begin I have no idea what "trolling" is. Second, its a common ignorance when people say everything is "twice as expensive" in europe. First the CPI (consumer price index) is NOT twice as high as here, more like 8-10% higher. When you look at purchasing power of the Euro along with the state benefits its a no brainer We lose. Also I'm looking all over I see Avg Canada Tax at 5% higher than US with MUCH greater dollar value French tax is actually lower than ours. Are you making this up as you go?

  • @CombatVet1977 Troll = individual who posts inflammatory messages in an online forum with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

I find it interesting that you went straight for my forum within the same hour you created your YouTube account... but What-Evs. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) First off, where exactly do you plan on living when you move to Canada? A HOT AIR BALLOON?!?! My figures come from the Canadian Revenue Service's website. Every PROVINCE in Canada requires citizens to pay income taxes on top of their Federal income taxes (unlike the state of Texas ;) (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) Second of all, I have spent a decent amount of time driving across Europe (England, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, etc). Obviously you have never purchased a Litre of gas in Europe. Where do you think most of that money goes? I can tell you it's NOT going to the "Evil" oil companies. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) Okay, let's assume for a moment that half (or more) of your income doesn't fly out the door in taxes after combining property, sales, gas, income ETC... Are we really going to split hairs over the PPI? Only 8% - 10% higher?!?! HAHAHAHA! Let's just run with that for a minute. Do you know what the Dead Weight Loss is to the consumer on that 10%? HA!!!

    economistsdoitwithmodels . com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/russia-booze-3 . jpg

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) Okay, I guess that website doesn't allow external links.

    econmodel . com /classic/terms/surplus4 . png

  • In Canada the highest tax bracket (Federal + Provincial), which isn't really that high hovers between 39% and 60%. The income taxes in England and France follow a similar pattern. (cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Do you think that these income brackets for the "evil rich guy" don't effect you??? Think again. According to SBA.gov there were 30 MILLION small businesses and only 18 thousand large businesses in the US to support 120 million American workers. The vast majority of them making more than $150k per year. In other words, even if you're not paying directly out of your pocket you're paying through inflation, lower wages and unemployment. (cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Ever consider energy taxes? Sales taxes? INFLATION? Everything in Europe is also TWICE AS EXPENSIVE! There's a reason why nobody can afford to buy a house or drive a car over there.

Liberals have these great ideas of how to spend other people's money, but they assume that people's behavior will remain static even after you tax them to death. It doesn't. Consider for a moment that your ideology will actually reduce the standard of living for MOST Americans. (cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo PS: I see that "CombatVet1977" joined YouTube last night around the time you made your comment... trolling are we?

  • Wow!! Where to start.....You make comments about the "liberals" taking random comments and not supporting them with facts and yet you spew out things like half your pay will go to the government?? Insanity....I swear I don't know how any intelligent person can buy into the right winged ideology. Does Canada pay 1/2 in taxes? France? England? How bout any industrialized nations with public healthcare (easy to find we're one of the few who didn't have it) All I can say is wow at the stupidity lol

  • "no society can legitimately call itself civilised if a sick person is denied medical aid because of lack of means." - Aneurin "Nye" Bevan

  • @pchiekrie First of all, who said anything about denying medical aid?

Second of all, there are already plenty of government options at the state and county level. The United States federal government has no business in the matter. Take a glance at your constitution. The federal government was given no authority to compel you to purchase anything. What next?

  • It was a joke PSA you retard.

  • @ysbrand50 Oh... it was a joke? Really? Are you sure? I guess I just didn't pick up on that. How embarrassing. Thanks for filling me in. I'll be sure to run my future video responses by you first.

  • Love the way liberals use namecalling such as loonies, when they feel threatened, when everyone now knows Hollywood controlls the vote these days. People get wise do you really wanna follow a bunch of crazy opinions from overpayed actors who's personal lives speak loud and clear that they have no morals, and any valuable advise to be giving us. You guys need to stick to funny subjects and stay out of politics!!!!!!!!sure this won't be posted anyway:( last two haven't been.

  • @ldazr5 All comments get approved.

I just have to maintain some sort of flood control over people like MrCrgl below who want to debate but can't seem to make any points or stay focused (ie: trolls that bounce from video to video and want to debate me over McCarthyism in my health care forum).

Thanks for posting! Couldn't agree more.

  • Stick to Comedy, Will! As there is seperation of church and state there should be seperation of Hollywood and state!!!!!

  • @ldazr5 Thanks for commenting. ;)

  • something terrible is happening, tea party loonies are paranoid about helping uninsured people.

  • @MrCrgl Good one. The floor is always open for debate. That is, if you're feeling up to it.

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Why right wingers are more prone to censorship like controlling comments on their videos. Isnt that ironical ?

  • @MrCrgl I haven't censored any of your comments, nor have I censored any other comments posted in this channel. I have approved every comment that has ever been posted here that wasn't porn / spam etc., which is why there are 1200 comments.

Feel free to put your foot in your mouth as much as you'd like, I'm not here to stop you. HOWEVER, don't expect for me to not reply to your comments.

Since we're on the topic of irony and censorship, ever heard of the fairness doctrine?

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Perhaps we could discuss the MPAA as well while we're at it?

  • @2DumbKidsVideo "fairness doctrine" hmmm, no. Is that some philosophical concept ? Well, my comment still apply. Havent you notice that right wingers CONTROL posts more than others ? Isnt that ironical ?

  • @MrCrgl Sheesh, it's called "Wikipedia". The Fairness Doctrine (introduced by the FCC in 1949) was a progressive liberal attempt at limiting free speech across the airwaves. It has since regained interest from the left during recent years in their attempt to censor conservative talk radio via AM & Satellite Broadcast.

While I'm sure that you find debating normative / anecdotal evidence intellectually stimulating and worthwhile, I think I'll pass. {Yawn} Regards.

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Gee, thanks, "wikipedia" great tool !!!, I read the"wikipedia" , it appears that your country's most conservative supreme justices have extended the "doctrine". "Antonin Scalia" in the wikipedia, appears as one of them. hummm, Interesting, this Wikipedia tool .,,, it lead me to other "doctrines" of no so subtle censorship, for example, look for "McCarthism".

  • @2DumbKidsVideo ooh, I also found out in the wiki, (can I call it wiki ?) that the origins for the doctrine are economic in nature. Apparently, friends of you like Glenn Beck , in the past, have monopollized the radio airwaves.

  • @2DumbKidsVideo BTW that was a Supreme Court decision of 8-0, hummm, when where no right wing justices in the Supreme Court? , can wiki give me this answer too ?

  • @MrCrgl Do you honestly believe that I am going to allow you to drag me through a mindless debate over the Fairness Doctrine when it is I who enlightened YOU to its very existence? As if I hadn't read the same Wiki article... and cherry picking are we?

*** Make a case regarding my video response or get off of my forum. I don't tolerate trolling.

PS: Don't make assumptions regarding my views of Glen Beck. It makes you appear rather presumptuous don't you think?

  • @2DumbKidsVideo You say you that I "cherry pick" from here and there. BUT THE THING IS that you are ignoring the main purpose of the "doctrine". CITE "Spectrum scarcity was the doctrines reason for being made. Because more people wanted to broadcast than available frequencies could accommodate." (airwaves monopoly). Do you base your approval of comments on the same observation? Is that what you are suggesting ?

  • @MrCrgl I'll say it again. Make some sort of case regarding my video response / the proposed health care bill or leave. I do not tolerate trolling.

  • The U.S.A problems have gone well pass repair, your crime is class, you piss on other country's to increase GDP. As for Canada are they in bad shape ecomny wise NOPE. Go fuck your self

  • @loadzacash Hmmm, where to begin... Citation? Anecdotal evidence? Grammar? This particular user's recent views / comments? Nah... this one pretty much stands on it's own. Sometimes you just have to let the opposition put their foot in their own mouth.

  • What a douche.

  • @TrustNoOneNWO Perhaps.

  • The difference between the millions these actors make and the millions health co. executives make, is that actors aren't death profiteers. They haven't made their money off denying people healthcare-leading to the deaths of "everyday Americans". Also, if the US instituted a complete national healthcare program-these penalties you name wouldn't be necessary. Those are a result of compromising with conservative interests who lie to the public, using boogyman terms like "socialised medicine".

  • @jokerhulk666 Private health insurance firms actually have economic incentives to keep their customers healthy. Government plans actually have economic incentives to deny care to non-contributing members of society (or even punish political enemies). We can get into Game Theory and Nash Equilibrium if you'd like.

If a government option that can artificially fix prices below market determined rates in an attempt to drive real competitors out of business is not "socialized medicine", what is?

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Please tell me what "incentives" private insurance has to keep their clients healthy. Why in many cases have they been forced to stop cherry picking the healthy? I'm not impressed by your masters degree, I know many people with more advanced degrees than yours that are for universal health care-I'll bring them on board. Also, insurance companies do everything they can to ensure there is no competition-including bribing politicians. Check out PNHP for facts from actual physicians

  • @jokerhulk666 @jokerhulk666 Of course firms attempt to block competition, they have financial incentives to do so. (IE: P=MC > MR=MC). But adding a so called "government option" is not increasing "competition" by any stretch of the imagination because it will operate under a Price Setting Model (P=MC). Furthermore, there are already "government options" on the state & county level (that are in the red I might add), how would one at the Federal level be any different? It won't. (cont).

  • @2DumbKidsVideo This is simple supply and demand stuff that even a novice economist can debunk. Government firms can artificially set prices below equilibrium rates (ie: price fixing). They will do this by subsidizing the government option through tax subsidies. Any price difference will merely be an illusion. The difference between Qs and Qd at that artificial price will be the amount of shortage that will occur.

    livingeconomics(dot)org/images/glossary/shortage(dot)gif

    (cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo The resulting shortages will result in one of the following. 1. Rationing (ie: waiting lists). 2. Black Market Transactions (ie: bribes and other illegitimate procurements). There will be incentives for those in power to reward political allies and punish political enemies. There is a century of empirical evidence to support this. There's a reason why the British have bad teeth and it's not genetic.

  • I think the add from funny or die was supposed to go for humor more then political accuracy... Calm down

  • @operatingman This comment has already been addressed in the "about" section. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Have you ever heard of satire

  • @acrobaticcyclops SA-TIRE? What is this satire?

  • @2DumbKidsVideo

Something Will Ferrell sacrificed dignity for when he chose to star in Land of the Lost.

    And I'm NOT being sarcastic.

  • @ dumbCHILD: tHE sooner you shut your delusional dumbshit ....the BETTER we all will be:)!!!! IM done responding to ignorance!!!! & I see you dont have many supporters JUST a lot of people who NOW KNOW you're full shit AKA as a douche!!!!-LMAO!!! Loser!!! you're blocked on my end so spew your bullshit to the wind!!! LoL

  • @elixireiite I have put together several thought provoking counter-arguments based on empirical and anecdotal evidence drawn from a Masters Degree in Economics, 11 years experience of owning a small business (while purchasing private health care), owning a home, putting myself through college, and 2 life saving medical procedures within the last year. You on the other hand have offered no evidence or empirical data to counter my arguments beyond childish name calling. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo To put it into words that you might comprehend. U hve bin PwNED dUmB@$s.

  • This is the greatest video on healthcare I have ever seen, this should go on tv

  • @dumbCHILD: I get your experience LACKz compassion:)!!! BUT..... WHY promote negativity!!! Wish ANY and ALL to direct positivity in genuinely taking care of the people (ALL Tax Paying People) & NOT so caught UP in defending politics! imHo=jO:) douche LoL

  • @elixireiite On the contrary, I would like to see more and better health care extended to more people. Unfortunately a 2000+ page bill that threatens the constitution along with people's ability to make their own choices in life is not the best way to do that. If you enjoy living in the other countries in which you have mentioned so much, I suggest you move there. No hard feelings. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) But personally, I'd rather live in a country where the Federal Government is not allowed to force me to partake in specific market transactions. Where do you think that the $ comes from to prop up social welfare programs? As stated in the video, you either print it (inflation) or you tax it. (Cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) The government has to tax us $2+ for every dollar it spends in order to employ useless paper pushers that add no value to the process. Those are dollars that could have been reinvested in the economy privately to make poor people richer (jobs, loans, investments etc) but get flushed down the toilet incentivizing poor people to just stay poor. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (cont) Ironically, such programs hurt the very people they're intended to help in the long run and cost more money than free market alternatives... but that wouldn't interest you because you'd rather "feel" your way through life rather than rely on empirical data and learn from historical mistakes.

  • @2DumbKidsVideo : I will be leaving this country....NO DOUBT!!! ....but for NOW,,,,I am here JUST like YOU!!!! The political pissing contest, capitalism & racism are the reasons Universal Healthcare is having the fight it is right now.-imHo. If they privatize U.S. mail..... WILL Americans FINALLY DO Something OR will we all have to pay $20 to mail a postcard via Fedex/UPS;(!!!! Universal Healthcare CAN HAPPEN...WHEN the People Demand it. Sad most American are kinda pussies;(.

  • @elixireiite The sooner you leave the better as far as I'm concerned.

Honestly, you couldn't have picked a better example to support my argument than the US Postal Service. Do you honestly think that it only costs $0.44 for the federal government to mail a letter? The true price of mailing a letter is disguised within a cacophony of taxes so that the end user has no idea what he/she is actually paying. It could cost $50 for all you know. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo The USPS further distorts equilibrium market prices by making it ILLEGAL for competitors to deliver mail to a mailbox that YOU own, which means at every stop the driver has to get out of his vehicle, run up to the door and ring the doorbell. THAT COSTS MONEY! This creates an unfair advantage. Don't even get me started on service. If the US government runs emergency rooms like it runs its USPS lobby, we're totally screwed. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo There will be 2 employees there all day, whether they're busy or not. They won't call for help, even if the line is out the door (which it often is). They take off all federal government holidays (which is about double what the private sector takes off). Even when they're busy, they will go through the entire spiel of would you like some stamps? Would you like to buy a crappy teddy bear on the wall? You wanna buy a framed picture of Dale Earnhardt? NO! (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Furthermore, as I mentioned before I am a small business owner and it just so happens that I have a few gov contracts. I doubt you have ever seen a gov purchase order before, but it tells me that I am not allowed to exceed the price quote by 15%?!?! This means that I can overcharge them (which I don't) by up to $150 on most orders and they won't say anything. Plus, once you're a "preferred vendor" there's very little you can do to get kicked off. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo They do this /bc if they don't spend ALL of their budget in a year, they can't request MORE money next year. NO private firm is that loose with someone else's money, let alone their own.

What you obviously didn't learn in Econ 1301 is how a competitive firm operates. A competitive firm will continue to implement land / labor / capital until MR = MC. (Marginal Revenue = Marginal Cost). (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Since these resources have diminishing returns (ie: the 2nd employee hired makes the firm more productive, but to a lesser extent than the 1st) the "Evil Profit Seeking" firm will actually exhaust all of its profit back into the economy up to the point profit (why most private sector firms make just enough to cover a years worth of inflation). Gov on the other hand has no such limits. It will continue to spend YOUR money regardless of how far it goes into the RED. (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo So what's next? Everyone has the "RIGHT" to free internet? Everyone has the right to "FREE FOOD & CARS"? As I stated before, the money to pay from these programs comes from 2 places, printing it (inflation, meaning your money can buy less for the laymen) or taxes. At some point, these social welfare programs WILL collapse inward on themselves when fewer people are pulling the cart than are in the cart. It's not a question of "IF" but "WHEN?". Racism has nothing to do with it.

  • @2DumbKidsVideo It's quite obvious you're afraid toallow anyone to post any contrary opinions-you're position doesn't bear scrutiny or debate and you know it. Your page and video are a one-sided joke. (maybe you should get your info from somewhere other than Faux news)

  • @jokerhulk666 I approve all non-spam comments. Feel free to voice your opinion however you wish. Just don't expect for me to not reply with my opinion of your comment.

For the record, I listen to a wide variety of news sources (including ones I often disagree with) and rarely do I watch Fox News. My opinion on the subject matter is based purely on tried and true economic models / empirical evidence.

  • @DUMBChild: MOST American Families are NOW broke, bankrupt & in DEEP debt for either Education or Medical Expenses!!! AGAIN, go outside the U.S. an experience life with NOT as much stress especially when it comes to personal health, childCARE& education. Otherwise, everything you have said is baseless USELESS rhetoric!!! Meant EVERYthing I said before & NOW (just calmer) Douche!- LoL-later

  • @elixireiite First of all, "MOST" American families are not broke, bankrupt or deep in debt. The ones who are (as a result of the most resent financial situation) were those who were incentivized to take out credit that they could ultimately not afford. These incentives came directly from the Federal Government in the form of financial vehicles created by Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac (40 year mortgage etc). (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo (continued) Federally mandated Health Care will be no different than Social Security. Eventually it WILL become insolvent as more people stop pulling the cart and start free riding. It's obvious that you don't have a clear understanding of economics or supply & demand (which doesn't surprise me, most people don't). But to resort to childish name calling only further reveals the fact that your opinions are based on "feelings"and not empirical data.

  • @ dumbCHILD;): SO WHAT!!! ALL should walk in your shoes and live your journey?!!! Sounds like a pretty ignorant lifestyle. EVERYbody in america is not YOU!!! IF you would pull your head out of your BUTT while you stand on your pedestal... you would know that!!! LIVE in ANY other country EXCEPT america (primarily Canada & Paris...WHICH I HAVE) Where Education(College), Healthcare & Childcare is productiveLY in practice provided by the Government through TAXES the citizens PAY!!! DouChE!!!!-jO:)

  • @elixireiite Wow, what a dignified and classy response from a "citizen of the world". You argue my point very well. Thank you.

  • AY!!! U evidently are a Repulican or just purely a selfish FUCK!!!! Spell right,,,Spell wrong...I KNOW YOU KNOW YOU ARE a Douche:)!!! -cYA!!!! done fucking DUMB People!!! Enjoy your stupidity or wise UP and spend a year in Canada:)!!!!

  • @elixireiite As a matter of fact, I have spent an extended amount of time traveling throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and Central America. I call the "most red" county in the "most red" state my home for a reason. Low taxes & less government intervention.

If you look at a heat map of the hardest hit areas of the US after the recession, and then place a heat map of liberal voting districts on top of that map, you might be surprised to see how well the two line up. (cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Furthermore, you do realize that socialized health care is already available in the US at the state and county level, no? The Federal Health Care bill is nothing more than a power grab of state and local jurisdiction in an attempt to establish legal precedent. Precedent that allows congress to compel you to enter into unconstitutional market transactions.

  • ...cant be to mad at ya since YOU KNOW you DUMB...Kid! LoL

  • @elixireiite Actually, I'm a 28 year old male Graduate Student of Economics. I put myself through college by building 2 businesses from the ground up (Recording Studio / T-Shirt Screen Printing). As I am self employed, I buy my own health insurance and I have had 2 life saving procedures within the last year that I will be paying off for the next 3 years. But by all means, do feel free to take another crack at it.

  • With ALL due RESPECT....it is evident you have NONE for American Citizens & MUST be a Healthy Multi-Millionaire! LMAO due to the fact that U are NO better than Government in spewing IGNORANCE & LIEz!!! Kharma is a BEOTch!!!-jO:)

  • @elixireiite With all due respect, you're going to put that comment up against a 10 minute point-fact response full of references, citation and logic?

I won't even rip into your grammatical / spelling / sentence structure errors because it sounds like English may be a second language for you.

  • I think you need to check your facts. I've had epilepsy all my life and NO insurance company will allow me to be their costumer. As a result, NO doctor will take me as a patient (YES THIS IS TRUE). So by the logic of this stupid video I should wait for my next seizure and go to the emergency room rather than having the opportunity to go to a doctor and find a way to improve my condition. People with pre-existing conditions are NOT asking for a handout, just the chance to buy insurance, ASSHOLE!

  • @thoart1 First of all, you might want to watch the video again because I didn't cover pre-existing conditions. Second of all, you CAN get coverage. It's a matter of whether or not you're willing to pay for the higher premiums due to your pre-existing condition. Third of all, what makes you think that if the federal government further regulates or takes over the health insurance industry that you'll get better care OR that it will be cheaper than simply purchasing a privately funded plan?

  • @thoart1 (cont) And just for the record, I DO sympathize for your condition. I believe that there are many things that can be done in order to bring the cost of health care down for EVERYONE... BUT government regulations / takeovers are not the answer. As an Economist I study price / standard of living / incentives / human behavior etc... Everything I know about the subject leads me to believe that such intervention will have the exact OPPOSITE effect.

  • lol the pie chart looks like pacman!

  • @spacegeeks3 Never trust a pie chart that doesn't. ;)

  • will ferrel and reno 911 are the only funny people in this video

  • @ewnjr That's debatable... although I won't. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. ;)

  • You are aware the original video was a joke right? I mean, the site is Funny or Die.

  • @nickatwork This is rapidly becoming my favorite comment, as if I "just don't get it" or something.

If the original video's intention was to merely entertain, then they should not have used political content provided by MoveOn.org, an extreme left-wing propagandist group.

  • Lol can't believe America - the land of the free, home of the brave, can't even give it's own citizens health care :P seriously, here in Australia we've got free health care, the lowest unemployment of any G20 country and insurance companies still make plenty of money. Oh and low income earners are taxed the least. Even Warren Buffett thinks your tax system is fucked.

  • @rsclutch1990 It's not a matter of can or can not, it's a matter should or should not. Re-analyze your first sentence. "The land of the free, home of the brave". How free is a nation that leaves critical health care decisions to a politically motivated body (that has incentives to punish political enemies and reward political allies) instead of the individual?

  • @2DumbKidsVideo LOL and the the Republicans aren't politically motivated? They lobby and take money from the insurers and then create spin such as "Giving out reasonable quality health care will mean a higher cost of living" blah blah blah. I'm sorry, australia's economy has never been half the size of America's and we don't have any of the problems you're talking about below with the other guy. The democrats introduced something ANY country with an economy your size should have. Thank them.

  • @rsclutch1990 I wasn't referring to either party individually when I said "politically motivated". I was making the point that turning over health care to the government turns over how that care is distributed into a political process, completely removing the "freedom" of choice in the matter. (Cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Of course Republicans are politically motivated... that is my entire point. Whoever happens to be in power can use that process to prop up political allies and punish political enemies.

Have you ever asked yourself the following:

Why is Australia's GDP dwarfed by the US Economy?

Why are the US's gas prices nearly half of Australia's?

Why are my sales / GST taxes so high?

    (continued)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Taxes passed on to these "evil" business are considered a cost of doing business and passed right along to the consumer, resulting in higher priced goods and services. Adversely effecting the lower wage earners the most. (cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo The fact is, gov firms have no incentive to spend money more efficiently than those who earn it. In fact they attempt to spend all of it, because if they don't they can't request additional funds.

So again, the questions is not "can or can not", but "should or should not". And quite frankly, that is a decision that will be left to the American voter. I'm extremely happy that YOU are happy living in Australia. Please stay there. Good day.

PS: I like the Titanic video. ;)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Should a government which boasts the largest economy in the world be able to provide health care to its citizens when other countries with lesser economies are able to? Yes, they should. Should an economy motivated by greed that has caused many countries in the world to be dragged into recession with it, maybe look at changing its ideologies that you so rigorously defend and maybe consider that the way you're travelling just isn't working? Yes.

  • @rsclutch1990 First of all, we already have socialized health care at the state and local level, which is part of the problem. The issue at hand is an issue of an unconstitutional federal power grab (plus the resulting legal precedent) and whether or not we're going to allow it to happen. Second of all, the Australian economy is just as motivated by greed as any. (cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Third of all, the recession was not caused by "not having federally mandated health care". It was caused by behavioral changes due to federal government intervention in the housing market. (ie: Fannie and Freddie creating vehicles for families to buy homes that shouldn't have been in the market to begin with. The resulting credit default swaps were merely an asset created in attempt to diversify government created risk). (cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Cost of living doesn't just "even itself out"... and looking at a single economic indicator over the short run (ie: car sales) is a wildly reckless way of looking at the world (although it doesn't seem to stop you or most media outlets for that matter). The US is already up to our eyeballs in new cars. Different nations demand different things at different points in time. (cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo I never suggested that Australia was some sort of "backwards nation" that rides around in Kangaroo pouches, just like it's irresponsible for you to suggest that we're all in line at soup kitchens. Much like the future of federally mandated health care, government intervention in the housing market changed behavior and incentives and diverted resources away from their most efficient use. (cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Builders were building homes like crazy because the government was artificially increasing demand. It's never a question of IF the bubble is going to burst, but WHEN. Not surprisingly, the cities most hurt by the recession were the most liberal states. States like TX and OK are running budget surpluses, while hippy-liberal states like California (where gas is an extra $1 per gallon) are running huge deficits that I'm going to have to pay for through federal bail-outs. (cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo If you drove as much as I do, (just to school / delivery or two for my small business every week) you would spend about $80 extra in gas (I get about 24 Miles Per Gallon, or about 6.34 MPL). In The Australian $ ex-rate is approx 1:1. That's upwards of $3840 per year, which is far more than I pay for my private health care plan (which is more expensive for me since I'm self employed and went to the hospital twice last year for live saving (non-waiting list) procedures. (cont)

  • @2DumbKidsVideo ... and that's gas taxes alone my friend... just sayin'.

  • @2DumbKidsVideo The things you're talking about with regards to businesses passing on things to the consumer, and GST etc are essentially irrelevant because other factors weigh in and the balance of the cost of living evens out. During the recession, of our two countries, which percentage of citizens needed to sell their homes and other belongings just to stay out of the soup kitchens?

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Here in Australia we don't ride around in the puches of kangaroos or things like that. People buy the same stuff as the Americans, but we don't tend to rely on credit as much (Credit is still a problem, don't get me wrong. We're not saints) as the Americans. 1,000,000 new cars were sold last year to a population of 20mil. Compared to 11.5mil cars vs 307m population: 4.7% of Aussies, vs 3.7% of yanks. Who's doing better? The majority of Aus or the rich in the US?

  • Yeah you tell em. Those stupid poor people shouldnt have health care if it means that insurance agencies wont be able to buy their gilded tampons.

  • @datoldspicy You do realize that a federal health care plan requires a re-allocation of wealth and resources correct? Under such systems, poor people still pay for health care but they do so through higher priced consumer goods and lower standards of living. The money in which the government spends comes from 2 places. 1. Taxes that misallocate resources (ie: job creation, investment etc.) or 2. Seniorage (printing money) = Inflation. Either one causes the price of consumer goods to rise.

  • The name of the poster of this video is fitting.

  • @ooMONKEYoo Good one.

  • @2DumbKidsVideo You're the one who made the name and then accompanied it with videos made by slack-jawed retards.

  • @ooMONKEYoo How very insightful. Perhaps you should sell your services as a screen name consultant. I wanted "ooMONKEYooISaDUMBass" but unfortunately it was already taken.

  • @2DumbKidsVideo You're implying I'm a dumb ass when you're the one who continuously uses run-on sentences. Hmmm...

    "coment pending approval" = coward

  • @ooMONKEYoo I have yet to use a run-on sentence in any one of my replies to you. You do realize that YouTube truncates all double spaces, no? I have also approved all of your comments.

What's your point? You don't like my name? Okay. Come up with a legitimate argument or STFU.

I would be happy to debate you beyond lobbing rocks like "Your screen name is stupid" and "you're a coward for not auto-approving comments"... that is if you can make some sort of legitimate argument.

  • @2DumbKidsVideo "I wanted "ooMONKEYooISaDUMBass" but unfortunately it was already taken." is a run on sentence.

There's no reason to say anything to you beyond what I've already said. After reading your responses to other posters, you don't care about facts or anything beyond your current point of view.

  • @ooMONKEYoo As far as MS Word is concerned, it is not a run-on sentence. If you have a beef, take it up with Bill Gates.

Beyond that, you have not presented any facts that discredit my arguments. You're welcome to say whatever you want here (and I will approve it). However, this is MY YouTube channel and I'm not going to let morons spam it without having something to say in return.

Take a deep breath. Make your point. I will respond to any additional facts / arguments / criticisms in turn.

  • @2DumbKidsVideo MS Word wouldn't know grammar if it licked it's butthole. Bill Gates did not create MS Word, but facts never got in the way of you before...

  • @ooMONKEYoo So what you're telling me is that you don't really have a point and that you would rather debate semantics. Once again, you have yet to provide any facts counter to my arguments.

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Well I've read from your previous 'debates' that you don't seem to care about facts, and now you're proving it to me for a second time here. You turn to MS Word (known for spell check - not grammar)and the non creator Bill Gates to prove your run-on sentence isn't a run-on.

I couldn't imagine how you would react if someone showed you facts about something that actually mattered...oh wait. I do know. Just look at how you respond to people correcting the mistakes in your video.

  • @ooMONKEYoo Once again, present your "facts". Please try to limit any further posts not pertaining to the video response.

  • @2DumbKidsVideo Yup. You're a baby whenever anyone corrects you. Bill Gates created MS Word, even though Word processing was created before Bill was even on MS's payroll.

Defending CEOs who make money off of people dying is the best idea you've ever thought of!!!! And comparing CEOs who make money off of people dying and comparing them to actors making movies/tvshoes aimed to make people laugh comes at a close second.

Where do you think up of these awesome ideas?

  • @ooMONKEYoo You have expended 7 comments without providing any facts against the arguments contained within the video response. You continue to make personal attacks and argue semantics, as if I didn't know that Bill Gates himself didn't sit down and chisel the first word processor program out of IBM punch cards. Facts require empirical evidence and not just "feeling" about a particular subject. (continued).
