No they shouldnt. I could have used some shorter ones but with the plexi and all it is about 1 inch tall. I checked it on my Antec and there was enough room to mount it on the side. And still clear the side cover. But just in hind sight I could have used 1/2 instead of 3/4. Oh well live and learn.

Regardless still great tutorial, ppl will get the idea and make changes or modifications as needed.
