Anyone who compares the existence of a unicorn to the existence of a god is just an utter moron. Whats funnier is that when someone says this, they think the're really clever.
@ChrisRKO32 The question is, what good reasons are there to believe. I see no good reason to believe unicorns exist. I see plenty of reasons to believe a God exists. Einstein didn't believe there was God for no reason, granted he didn't believe in a personal God, but he certainly saw good reason to believe the universe was a result of an intelligible force/being. How anyone can compare belief in unicorns to belief in a God is beyond me.
@atheistrocker100 i think the unicorn example is valid if we deal with a theistic god claim. Because if we take an example like ancient greek gods, we wouldnt have problems to comprehend this comparison
@Serpico261 Technically speaking there isas much "scientific" evidence for unicorns as there is for a religious perception of god. But i just wish people give it rest comparing the belief in a God to santa or unicorns. Its just annoying
Comparing the belief in a god to santa etc is ridiculous, no doubt about it. I only would accept the comparison in terms of scientific evidence when were dealing with personal gods. When i look at theistic beliefs i always notice one common demoniator, doesnt matter what religion it is. It is the relationship people have with their religion. It is emotionaly very positive for them, but unfortunately this makes people not very objective.

@Serpico261 It happens a lot. This is just a funny example, but you can find all kinds of funky inconsistencies within the bible just by reading it. Some of them aren't as evident, but people who study these things in depth have been pointing out these flaws for centuries.

@Domino1000ify then u missed the point, they compared god to a unicorn. the fact is there is as much proof for a god that there is unicorns. atheists are not dumb since they accept reality not a hallucination like the desert people who wrote the holy books.
@Woahimdead07 so then you and those guys missed the point. Unlike unicorns, try searching up some miracles that shows that God isn't entirely fake as you say he is. Actually you missed the point. Atheist dont tend to believe in unicorns ''instead'' of a deiety, saying that is just silly
The point in the video, is that we dont have any evidence / reasons to believe that unicorns exists, the same thing applies to a deiety. Now can there be reasons / evidence of a deiety that im not aware of, sure, just like there can be evidence for unicorns im unaware of.
Until we have good reasons to accept a claim, we should not accept it.
@Turha101 Yeah, I knew you were gonna be skeptical about this so like I said, It's still up to you to believe or not. All of the reasearch I have done on any religious / god claims have zero evidence or susbtance in a converstaion or arugment for their case. I fear those who are so passionate about it that they cause harm to themselves or others. I saw a video where for "the lord" a lady was starving herself. Sure she lost a lot a weight and had delusions, but she is slowing killing herself. If only this much passion was put towards things that help humanity and the environment, things that we actually need
@ARAFELI ive never seen that there is a full episode of the atheist experience on yt, only parts of the show. I dont know the link that would bring you to this specific episode, sorry
@ARAFELI Go to the ae site theres hours of stuff like this,If I remember correctly this guy phones back after about 10mins and is just as funny. The ae is always good for a laugh, theres some wierd people in america.
@wrathofcell to be honest, back in the day when i was considering myself as a liberal, it was in a time when i had very little knowledge about politics and was ignorant about other opinions and simply believed everything as absolute true that came from so called "progressives".
i wonder if there is a relationship between my ignorance bak than and my political attitudes
plz som 1 educat me on this: wat is natural selection? is it somethin that is natural & can it b common n most cases, can it also b somthin that just happen,& can it also b a phenom?
@darkconversationist : Buy or borrow a copy of The Greatest Show On Earth by Richard Dawkins and read it. If you can read better than you write then you will understand what natural selection is and how it works in evolution.
another moron, uneducated, illogical, good point, good point. He has absolutely no idea what he actually said, unable to understand his own logic, if he did immediately give up religion which he did not
Creationist are unable to prove that Yahweh is real. According to Hebrew mythology Yahweh Sabaoth was a warrior god from Edom/ Seir/ Paran. He used to fly around on the backs of cherubs and blow smoke out his nostrils. Yahweh is a myth. I just disprove god.
So people really still use "lol" and "rofl" in actual typed conversation, huh? I thought people stopped being douches with that crap in the '90s when AOL died.
I will never stop as long as I can abbreviate L.O.L. properly. You will just have to deal with it being a part of the progressive English language, I guess!

It's just as stupid to not have faith in something that cannot be proven as it is to have faith. Atheists and Creationists are like extreme left and right wing leaders. You're both dictators. Open your minds.
@ElmoElmondo There are lots of things that cannot be proven. So according to your logic we're all stupid and dictators no matter if we have faith or not? Or do you want to say having an opinion is close-minded? Think again.
@firthof I never called anyone stupid, and forgive me if the metaphor used was poorly received. I also never said that having an opinion is close-minded. I'm not here looking for an argument, nor am I here to insult anyone. All I'm trying to do is end this pointless argument about something that we will never answer. To summarise my aim, I shall give you a quote: "Sometimes I think it is my mission to bring faith to the faithless, and doubt to the faithful." - Paul Tillich
@ElmoElmondo I guess you don't watch the Atheist Experience show much? If you watched it you'd learn that not believing in the existence of something is the *default position*. From that position you only believe when you have good reason to believe. You don't believe in unicorns do you? Why not? You have no good reason to believe. If you believe in them it's purely on faith.
Other people people don't need to open their minds. You need to *use* yours.
@tron81 You're right, I do not. However, it is named the Atheist Experience because I'm guessing they are Atheists. Correct me if I am wrong but is not Atheism the rejection of belief in deities? ie the belief that there is no God. All i'm trying to say is that while we cannot prove the existence of a deity, we also cannot disprove it. Therefore it makes more sense to 'sit on the fence' as it were. In this show, it appears to me that the presenters are making fun of those with faith in God..
@tron81 ... And I feel that to be a bit unfair when they are no more right to say there is no God than a religious person is to say there is a God. Also, the reference to unicorns does not do your argument justice I am afraid as should they exist/have existed they would be no more than animals. We are talking about the possibility of a creator here, not a creation.
@BigLundi Given what a God is, an all-powerful deity; until there is proof that clearly denies it's existence it's irrational to outright reject any claims.
@ElmoElmondo Given that you've yet to show that God's an all powerful deity, it's irrational to assume him to exist without any evidence.
Tell you what, I just made something up, the magical pink unicorn, that exists outside the universe that created the universe, and several other universes, just because it wanted to, and has no set rules by which we live our lives, do you believe in my magical pink unicorn?
@BigLundi Who's assuming him to exist? I think you have made a mistake in understanding my argument here. I'm not saying a God (Note, a God, not God. For I do believe that for some reason you are only concerning yourself with the Christian God here and that would be a mistake.) exists, nor am i saying that a God does not exist. I'm here purely to make you realise that it's just as irrational to deny the possibility of a God's existence as it is to believe in it.
@ElmoElmondo Not really. As atheists we are able to live our lives, rather well, and without any belief or reverence to their being a God. At this point, the possibility of God's existence is about on par with the possibility of Leprechaun's existence. Practically, there is no good reason to believe in God.
@BigLundi Unfortunately you also have fallen prey to this fantasy argument. Leprechaun = Creation. God = Creator. Different arguments. Regardless, i feel that everyone is missing my point here. All I'm saying is that people should stop arguing about something that cannot be proven either way. No one is more correct than the other and neither shall ever be proven to be more correct simply because of what God would be/is. Everyone keeps dividing themselves when we should stand together as humans.
@ElmoElmondo No. Not different arguments. Both are indemonstrable, both have no evidence as to their existence, yet both would be irrational to assume 100% knowledge of nonexistence. What you're misunderstanding is these arguments aren't to prove atheism to be true, it's to prove theistic claims to be false. Religion, by nature, divides us, as humans, so why wouldn't you want to argue against whatever bullshit it spews?
@BigLundi Yes. Different arguments. Leprechauns as we know them would reside on earth whereas God would be outside of existence as we know it. If that's not a different argument I don't know what is. Also, nothing can fully prove theism wrong. The bible, yes. Theism, no. God cannot be proven. I'm not here to deny you your opinion, nor am I here to state that you are wrong. I'm merely trying to quash a futile argument causing conflict between two groups that I feel the world could do without.
@ElmoElmondo Did you say God would exist outside of existence? That would make him nonexistent. That's not what people are claiming. Now. As far as this argument between the two being futile? Absolute bullshit. Why wouldn't we have this debate about the greatest question ever? Why wouldn't we ask questions and debate the answers? Why wouldn't we want to know where we came from? Wh wouldn't we want to know if the people with the holy books are allowed to dictate how we live, like the so wish?
@ElmoElmondo So people with rational though who chose facts over unicorns and fairies and their pixy dust are stupid? Atheist dont dictate anything what they do is showing that what the're dictating is false and has no evidence to support its claims
@ElmoElmondo That's an idiotic argument from someone who doesn't understand the reality of the matter. Would you say that anyone who believes in unicorns and conspiracies and UFO's and dragons and potatotrolls are no dumber than those who consider that as rubbish? That's pretty much what you're saying. Also is not believing in dragons taking a leap of faith? You take a leap of faith everytime you say you don't believe in a fantasy thing. If you don't believe in Frodo - leap of faith.
@ElmoElmondo By your logic, we should have faith in unicorns, leprechauns, vampires, dragons, etc., lest we be labeled as "dictators." Open minds look for evidence.
@Chickenality@WolfySnackrib666@psycho3991 You're all very quick to use this fantasy argument but I simply refuse to accept it. All these fantasy things, should they exist, have existed or whatever, would be creations and therefore easy to disprove. So what you're saying is partially true in that it would be stupid to believe in unicorns etc. because we have no evidence proving their existence. However, that argument cannot be used when talking about the would be creator of these things.
@LanteanKnight no. in fact, hes saying the exact opposite. hes saying that for him to accept that god exists he would need some sort of proof. as in, Jesus (physically on earth) proving his omnipotence in some way. also, he asks you to look at your beliefs and realize that nothing I, or anyone else, can say will convince you that god does not exist. even if (hypothetically) there was a way to prove beyond any shadow of a doubt god didn't exist, you would still think he did. That's the problem.
1. It's stupid not having faith in something that cannot be proven
2. Just as stupid as having faith overall
With the first one says that it's rationally acceptable to have a belief in something that is unfalsifiable. So he assumes that everything is true until it can be disproved.
And the second one is pretty clear.
So what you're saying does not make sense in this context.
@LanteanKnight I never said anything about anything being true until disproven, please learn to read. I'm simply stating that in the case of something that cannot be proven or disproven, it's illogical to have a definite standpoint. You should all stop wasting your lives arguing about something we will never learn the answer to. Ever.
@ElmoElmondo As it comes for god. true lack of evidence is not true evidence. But there is something we can all agree on. When it comes to god. The silence is deafening.
@extropian314 Not at all. A unicorn would be a physical being within our existence and therefore something that can be proven/disproven. God on the other hand, considered to be the creator of existence itself, cannot be proven or disproven because he would be outside of existence as we know it. Far too many people fall for the unicorn example because it looks like a good argument when it isn't questioned.
@ElmoElmondo the unicorn joke is made because there was and still exist the argument with the line "you cant disprove god", thats why its called the "the invisible unicorn". Just because you cant disprove god, doesnt make him in ANY WAY probable. There is nothing that would point to a specific theistic god. Theism is actually very easy to disprove because you can examine their content. Atheism dont say that a creator doesnt exist. It simply rejects existing arguments as not convincing, thats it
@Serpico261 I never said God was probable and I wasn't talking about Aquinas' invisible unicorn. Also, I never said that theism couldn't be disproven, I said that the existence of God cannot be proven or disproven.
@ElmoElmondo "A unicorn would be a physical being within our existence and therefore something that can be proven/disproven"
"I wasn't talking about Aquinas' invisible unicorn"
?
"God on the other hand, considered to be the creator of existence itself, cannot be proven or disproven"
Thats why the invisible unicorn was invented in the first place. There is an infinite number of stuff you cant disproof, ever heard of probability? Gods are primarily nothing but athropomorphic concepts, fact
@Serpico261 And because you can't disprove them means that there is a chance of them existing, albeit a small one. Have YOU ever heard of probability? And you can't say that that is a fact because you don't know for certain.
@ElmoElmondo yeah but an omnipotent god can be either revealed through scripture, revelation etc or can exist in the mind of people who believe someone has created this universe, but does not intervene in peoples live and isnt interrested what you are doing sunday morning in your bathroom
@Serpico261 No, an omnipotent God can not be revealed in any way, that's my only point. But you say it can exist in the minds of people and then maybe that's what it is. The point I'm trying to make is that noone has, does or probably ever will know the answer to this question so it's pointless to argue about. It's no more intelligent to be on one side or the other of this argument so everyone should just hush, leave people to their beliefs and get along with one another regardless.
2. .... i think its funny how you use the same tactics that the opposition uses...muting microphones and speaking louder than the caller to assume supremacy...
3.... you come off as a bully about your belief/ lack thereof
..Umm. No there aren't. Unicorns are mythological creatures. But yeah, the hosts are jerks to this guy. I don't really see how anyone couldn't be one in the same situation.
i don't get why he had to call in the first place, this guy clearly knew he shouldn't believe in something there is no proof of. the scariest thing is that he couldn't connect the dots after it was laid out! belief can really f*ck up the ability to think independently.
Bottom Line? St. Thomas Aquinas proves God's existence in the Summa. Atheists, in their lack of understanding, only misrepresent what Thomas says. Not even Hitchens and Dawkins can defeat Aquinas. God wins again :)
@helpyouseeit its unbelievable how a man from the 13th century proves by simply stating that an actio needs a reactio, the existence of god...
hmm why is god immune against regression? Aquinas arguemnts are only considerable as arguments when you want to discuss this topic in a philosophical manner.
Where is the output? you have an extraordinary input, but nothings comes out, not EVEN an explanation why god dont need a regression.
What did aquinas know about the universe, about biology??tell me
@helpyouseeit noooo. aquinas at best gives us an interesting hypothesis. proof comes from empirical evidence and observation. aquinas did not give it, and neither did anyone else. there is no proof of supernatural. if you find some, there will be a nobel prize with your name on it.
Equally, I think that Aquinas gets rather hypocritical. He states that there must be a "first cause" because he doesn't like an infinite causal chain. However, when he puts God as that first cause, he is entering an "infinite" being as the cause by his own definition of God as omnipotent, omniscient, eternal etc etc.
So he removes one "infinity" for another "infinity". Seems like he doesn't even solve his own problem when you follow his own logic.
Hi there not familiar with this proof of god. Could you explain it to me? also if you think this proof of god actually worked don't you think more ppl would have heard of it and follow it after all America is 60% religious so don't you think it would be a big deal?
@Cassius10761 Lock me up and throw away the key don't you get it? We are all fucking insane in our own ways?!?!?!??!! CHOCOLATE RAIN. LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!!! DUN DA DUNANANA DUH DUNANANA DUH DUNA DUNA . eeeeHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHA haaa...Take off your mask batman... You know what I never understood, why the fuck can't anyone tell Clark Kent is Superman.

It's just as stupid to not have faith in something that cannot be proven as it is to have faith. Atheists and Creationists are like extreme left and right wing leaders. You're both dictators. Open your minds.

ElmoElmondo 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo There are lots of things that cannot be proven. So according to your logic we're all stupid and dictators no matter if we have faith or not? Or do you want to say having an opinion is close-minded? Think again.
firthof 10 months ago
@firthof I never called anyone stupid, and forgive me if the metaphor used was poorly received. I also never said that having an opinion is close-minded. I'm not here looking for an argument, nor am I here to insult anyone. All I'm trying to do is end this pointless argument about something that we will never answer. To summarise my aim, I shall give you a quote: "Sometimes I think it is my mission to bring faith to the faithless, and doubt to the faithful." - Paul Tillich
ElmoElmondo 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo I guess you don't watch the Atheist Experience show much? If you watched it you'd learn that not believing in the existence of something is the *default position*. From that position you only believe when you have good reason to believe. You don't believe in unicorns do you? Why not? You have no good reason to believe. If you believe in them it's purely on faith.
Other people people don't need to open their minds. You need to *use* yours.
tron81 10 months ago 2
@tron81 You're right, I do not. However, it is named the Atheist Experience because I'm guessing they are Atheists. Correct me if I am wrong but is not Atheism the rejection of belief in deities? ie the belief that there is no God. All i'm trying to say is that while we cannot prove the existence of a deity, we also cannot disprove it. Therefore it makes more sense to 'sit on the fence' as it were. In this show, it appears to me that the presenters are making fun of those with faith in God..
ElmoElmondo 10 months ago
ElmoElmondo 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo Atheism is the rejection of a claim. Until God is proven, how is it irrational to reject the claim?
BigLundi 10 months ago
@BigLundi Given what a God is, an all-powerful deity; until there is proof that clearly denies it's existence it's irrational to outright reject any claims.
ElmoElmondo 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo Given that you've yet to show that God's an all powerful deity, it's irrational to assume him to exist without any evidence.
Tell you what, I just made something up, the magical pink unicorn, that exists outside the universe that created the universe, and several other universes, just because it wanted to, and has no set rules by which we live our lives, do you believe in my magical pink unicorn?
BigLundi 10 months ago
@BigLundi Who's assuming him to exist? I think you have made a mistake in understanding my argument here. I'm not saying a God (Note, a God, not God. For I do believe that for some reason you are only concerning yourself with the Christian God here and that would be a mistake.) exists, nor am i saying that a God does not exist. I'm here purely to make you realise that it's just as irrational to deny the possibility of a God's existence as it is to believe in it.
ElmoElmondo 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo We don't deny the possibility. So what's your point?
BigLundi 10 months ago
@BigLundi Well so long as you don't deny the possibility, I'm happy.
ElmoElmondo 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo Well then wtf are you arguing about? Have you seen anyone here, at all, deny the possibility of god's existence?
BigLundi 10 months ago
@BigLundi No but I've seen people pointlessly arguing that there is no God. I'm saying that it's stupid to say that outright.
ElmoElmondo 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo Not really. As atheists we are able to live our lives, rather well, and without any belief or reverence to their being a God. At this point, the possibility of God's existence is about on par with the possibility of Leprechaun's existence. Practically, there is no good reason to believe in God.
BigLundi 10 months ago
@BigLundi Unfortunately you also have fallen prey to this fantasy argument. Leprechaun = Creation. God = Creator. Different arguments. Regardless, i feel that everyone is missing my point here. All I'm saying is that people should stop arguing about something that cannot be proven either way. No one is more correct than the other and neither shall ever be proven to be more correct simply because of what God would be/is. Everyone keeps dividing themselves when we should stand together as humans.
ElmoElmondo 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo No. Not different arguments. Both are indemonstrable, both have no evidence as to their existence, yet both would be irrational to assume 100% knowledge of nonexistence. What you're misunderstanding is these arguments aren't to prove atheism to be true, it's to prove theistic claims to be false. Religion, by nature, divides us, as humans, so why wouldn't you want to argue against whatever bullshit it spews?
BigLundi 10 months ago
@BigLundi Yes. Different arguments. Leprechauns as we know them would reside on earth whereas God would be outside of existence as we know it. If that's not a different argument I don't know what is. Also, nothing can fully prove theism wrong. The bible, yes. Theism, no. God cannot be proven. I'm not here to deny you your opinion, nor am I here to state that you are wrong. I'm merely trying to quash a futile argument causing conflict between two groups that I feel the world could do without.
ElmoElmondo 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo Did you say God would exist outside of existence? That would make him nonexistent. That's not what people are claiming. Now. As far as this argument between the two being futile? Absolute bullshit. Why wouldn't we have this debate about the greatest question ever? Why wouldn't we ask questions and debate the answers? Why wouldn't we want to know where we came from? Wh wouldn't we want to know if the people with the holy books are allowed to dictate how we live, like the so wish?
BigLundi 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo So people with rational though who chose facts over unicorns and fairies and their pixy dust are stupid? Atheist dont dictate anything what they do is showing that what the're dictating is false and has no evidence to support its claims
psycho3991 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo That's an idiotic argument from someone who doesn't understand the reality of the matter. Would you say that anyone who believes in unicorns and conspiracies and UFO's and dragons and potatotrolls are no dumber than those who consider that as rubbish? That's pretty much what you're saying. Also is not believing in dragons taking a leap of faith? You take a leap of faith everytime you say you don't believe in a fantasy thing. If you don't believe in Frodo - leap of faith.
WolfySnackrib666 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo By your logic, we should have faith in unicorns, leprechauns, vampires, dragons, etc., lest we be labeled as "dictators." Open minds look for evidence.
Chickenality 10 months ago
@Chickenality @WolfySnackrib666 @psycho3991 You're all very quick to use this fantasy argument but I simply refuse to accept it.
ElmoElmondo 10 months ago
@ElmoElmondo
So you're assuming everything is true until it's been disproved?
Open your mind...
LanteanKnight 9 months ago
@LanteanKnight no. in fact, hes saying the exact opposite. hes saying that for him to accept that god exists he would need some sort of proof. as in, Jesus (physically on earth) proving his omnipotence in some way. also, he asks you to look at your beliefs and realize that nothing I, or anyone else, can say will convince you that god does not exist. even if (hypothetically) there was a way to prove beyond any shadow of a doubt god didn't exist, you would still think he did. That's the problem.
Amehdion 9 months ago
@Amehdion
No he's saying two things:
LanteanKnight 9 months ago
@LanteanKnight I never said anything about anything being true until disproven, please learn to read. I'm simply stating that in the case of something that cannot be proven or disproven, it's illogical to have a definite standpoint. You should all stop wasting your lives arguing about something we will never learn the answer to. Ever.
ElmoElmondo 8 months ago
@ElmoElmondo So to not be a dictator i have to sort-of believe in something. Brilliant.
deepskanker 4 months ago
@deepskanker No, you have to realise that you cannot be right or wrong in this argument.
ElmoElmondo 4 months ago
@ElmoElmondo As it comes for god. true lack of evidence is not true evidence. But there is something we can all agree on. When it comes to god. The silence is deafening.
deepskanker 4 months ago
@ElmoElmondo ,
Okay, so it's just as unsensible to say "I don't have faith that unicorns exist" as it is to say "I have faith that unicorns exist"?
extropian314 4 months ago
@extropian314 Not at all. A unicorn would be a physical being within our existence and therefore something that can be proven/disproven. God on the other hand, considered to be the creator of existence itself, cannot be proven or disproven because he would be outside of existence as we know it. Far too many people fall for the unicorn example because it looks like a good argument when it isn't questioned.
ElmoElmondo 4 months ago
@ElmoElmondo the unicorn joke is made because there was and still exist the argument with the line "you cant disprove god", thats why its called the "the invisible unicorn". Just because you cant disprove god, doesnt make him in ANY WAY probable. There is nothing that would point to a specific theistic god. Theism is actually very easy to disprove because you can examine their content. Atheism dont say that a creator doesnt exist. It simply rejects existing arguments as not convincing, thats it
Serpico261 4 months ago
@Serpico261 I never said God was probable and I wasn't talking about Aquinas' invisible unicorn. Also, I never said that theism couldn't be disproven, I said that the existence of God cannot be proven or disproven.
ElmoElmondo 4 months ago
@ElmoElmondo "A unicorn would be a physical being within our existence and therefore something that can be proven/disproven"
"I wasn't talking about Aquinas' invisible unicorn"
?
"God on the other hand, considered to be the creator of existence itself, cannot be proven or disproven"
Thats why the invisible unicorn was invented in the first place. There is an infinite number of stuff you cant disproof, ever heard of probability? Gods are primarily nothing but athropomorphic concepts, fact
Serpico261 4 months ago
@Serpico261 And because you can't disprove them means that there is a chance of them existing, albeit a small one. Have YOU ever heard of probability? And you can't say that that is a fact because you don't know for certain.
ElmoElmondo 4 months ago
@ElmoElmondo when you say "there is a chance" are you talking about a deistic god?
Serpico261 4 months ago
@Serpico261 Mhmm. It can't be flat out denied that one may exist.
ElmoElmondo 4 months ago
@ElmoElmondo who is one? What kind of god do you mean?
Serpico261 3 months ago
@Serpico261 Any. Just one with omnipotence.
ElmoElmondo 3 months ago
@ElmoElmondo yeah but an omnipotent god can be either revealed through scripture, revelation etc or can exist in the mind of people who believe someone has created this universe, but does not intervene in peoples live and isnt interrested what you are doing sunday morning in your bathroom
Serpico261 3 months ago
@Serpico261 No, an omnipotent God can not be revealed in any way, that's my only point. But you say it can exist in the minds of people and then maybe that's what it is. The point I'm trying to make is that noone has, does or probably ever will know the answer to this question so it's pointless to argue about. It's no more intelligent to be on one side or the other of this argument so everyone should just hush, leave people to their beliefs and get along with one another regardless.

Bottom Line? St. Thomas Aquinas proves God's existence in the Summa. Atheists, in their lack of understanding, only misrepresent what Thomas says. Not even Hitchens and Dawkins can defeat Aquinas. God wins again :)
helpyouseeit 1 year ago
@helpyouseeit its unbelievable how a man from the 13th century proves by simply stating that an actio needs a reactio, the existence of god...
hmm why is god immune against regression? Aquinas arguemnts are only considerable as arguments when you want to discuss this topic in a philosophical manner.
Where is the output? you have an extraordinary input, but nothings comes out, not EVEN an explanation why god dont need a regression.
What did aquinas know about the universe, about biology??tell me
Serpico261 1 year ago 41
@helpyouseeit noooo. aquinas at best gives us an interesting hypothesis. proof comes from empirical evidence and observation. aquinas did not give it, and neither did anyone else. there is no proof of supernatural. if you find some, there will be a nobel prize with your name on it.
avalsonline2 1 year ago
@helpyouseeit
Seems like he doesn't even solve his own problem when you follow his own logic.
dunsedog 1 year ago
@helpyouseeit Actually, Dawkins successfully refuted Thomas Aquinas in his book The God Delusion. Don't do much reading?
