@tdreed64 You might sell your bike and use the money to learn how to spell "hating" and writing in complete sentences. Retarded mentality of calling someone chicken doesn't erase the fact the bike is a death trap of 50 year old technology I'd never be found dead or live vibrating on one.
WATCH FROM 2:40. I don't know if I'd enjoy my riding buddy taking pictures of me getting loaded on a stretcher. How about putting the camera down and being a friend?
@track2wheels Funny how Harley riders think. That Tractor King bike of his didn't do very well. Metzeler tires? Hard as plastic, poor traction. Just wondering if it was all rider error. I'm very glad to see you on a KAWASAKI. That bike can handle the turn twice as fast as any Tractor King Harley makes. Funny how you knew to film him catching up.
@dalotel I ride both the kawi (my track bike -- rarely gets out on the street cause it's missing certain street components) and my Aprilia Tuono. The Tuono is a blast to ride out there. Another buddy of mine rides a Concours like it's a 600 supersport on these same roads. You can see it in one of the other vids I've posted but I dislike going that fast on the street. Since I'm the only one of us with a camera, I usually end up riding chase to film.
@Rescuelord I tracked that Youtube channel and it's you. So your excuse is that its your room mate? You really think people are that dumb? I think you could use some help buddy. For you to take all this time to give me a good laugh just isnt worth it. It's not normal. Fake youtube accounts? isnt that taking it to far. Dude, you alright?
@xxsekoxx You're exactly right. I'm caught..............I'm guilty. You caught me. So, from this day forward, I want no part of anything! It was me the whole time and nobody else! Take care!
@Rescuelord You get the first medal of 2012!!!!!!! for being the SAFEST rider in the world! Go you! you are the best! thanks for being so safe 100% of the time! Thanks for NEVER making mistakes! Thanks for being born how to ride! Thanks for knowing exactly what to do in 100% of the time! go You!!!
@xxsekoxx....as long as you keep kissing ass and complimenting me...........I'll be sure to send good "karma skills" your way........if you're lucky. Okay.......you can stop the ass kissing now.
@xxsekoxx Sniffle....sniffle.......did I hurt your poor itty bitty feelings........lol!!! Go to your local Home Depot........buy some rope.....and........hang yourself. You are a friggin' dumbass.
It looks like he set up to go into that turn normally, realised you had parked up, got a bit of target fixation sending him wide . Then it looks like he hit gravel in the dirty bit of that odd corner (probably where no one drives) and the weight of that Harley sent it sideways so fast no one could catch it and after the panic response of sitting upright and letting go of the brakes he highsided. His head (helmet) took 2 BIG impacts. Thank DOT he was wearing one.
good to see he was wearing full gear. Did the jacket have armor in the shoulders? Even if it did that was a hard hit so no surprise he injured his right shoulder.
Glad he's alright. It's my first year riding and I took the rear brake pedal right off my bike so something like this wouldn't happen. Maybe next year I'll put it back on
Shitty dude cause that guy looked like he actually knew how to ride!!! Tell him the internet is impressed how low he got in the corners on a Harley!!!
Im really glad that you are ok man, The bike is just an object but a biker.....It hurts to lose him,Heal up and keep riding man,It happens to all of us,at least you left the scene with your life, Its gods proof that you were not meant to die on a bike,Still glad you are ok,Damn nice bike btw,,,,, Keep one wheel on the ground!
Wow. I can't figure out why he crashed like that. I mean, I know why he did it -- seeing you there surprised him and he stabbed the brakes to slow down -- but I don't know why he went down. He wasn't going that fast, the turn isn't that aggressive, he easily could have countersteered to make the turn, or at the very least held the skid for a bit longer to try to straighten it out or low-sided. Instead he just froze up and target fixated.
Yea lots of basic riding skills missing. In additon to badwee's comments riding on the paint is not smart. Also, it was a bad idea to stop in the middle of a corner - that was an additional distraction for Bob.
Inexperienced rider doing those speeds just doesn't end any better than this. The bike has limitations as much as the rider. You want to go fast? Get a real bike, and freshen up your riding skills with a cycle course, which you obviously missed 30 years ago being grandfathered in.
here is an idea. if your friend is waiting for u to film u at a corner up ahead and u get all frisky and come in too hot.... do a go around and come back later. it works for 747s!!!!! There is no law that says u must stop next to your friend. Remember, You can always go faster tomorrow..... unless of course u gravel
Imagine what that would have been like without a helmet on? Probably been all over. I used to ride a harley with no gear. Switched to a BMW with full gear then back to Harley and still ware full gear. Can't imagine riding without it anymore.
Watched this 5x and cannot figure why he did stop in a straight line. There was room. I have done panic stops and you have to keep it straight and try to not lock the rear. Never break hard (or at all) in a curve. At least he was wearing more protective gear than 95% of the HD riders I see.
The reason he didn't stop in a straight line was due to the circumstances combined with too much rear brake.. That turn is notorious for crashes because the signage before it indicates a left turn but there is a road that makes you think it continues straight. The slightest bit of indecision (should I go right or left???) and you're suddenly in an emergency situation. I had originally pulled off the road to warn him to go left :(.
@track2wheels Bob had plenty of room and time to stop in a straight line. I would have stopped in a straight line realizing that going off the road in that area wouldn't have been as risky as trying to turn AND brake.
This vid almost has it all. Panic, target fixation, locking the rear, putting a foot down, and blaming invisible gravel. Too bad he wasnt in flip flops and a t-shit or it would have been perfect.
bob is old.
that wouldnt hurt us young boys.

Reasons Why Harley Owners Won't Wave At Other Bikers
Afraid it will invalidate warranty.
Refuses to wave to anyone whose bike is already paid for.
Afraid to let go of handlebars because they might vibrate off.
Rushing wind would blow scabs off the new tattoos.
Just discovered the fine print in owner's manual and realized H-D is partially owned by those rice-burner manufacturers.
Can't tell if other riders are waving or just reaching to cover their ears like everyone else.

Did his insurance total the bike?

@dalotel
In all fairness, he asked me to take the pictures. No, insurance repaired the bike. Last I saw it, it was back to new.

Most boring video I´ve seen. Ever heard about editing?
But I have to admit, that I´m happy nobody got serious injuries.

@daniel1120A
LOL - that WAS edited. The rest of that ride is 40 minutes. The rider asked me to show more than just the wreck so I did.

@ironDsteele rear brake can save you in:
-a curve, combined with engine break
-on wet/oily roads
-on gravel :) try that with your front brake...
my advice... brake with both!

@track2wheels You could just say he messed up. No need to blame the road or anything else.
1. He clearly tried to turn and brake at the same time. Probably hasn't practiced emergency stopping in the last year.
2. You were both pushing the safe speed for the road. Anything unexpected and bang... just like what happened.
