I think you can kill harland go to the terminal not rescue his friend and get the Achievement quicker

You don't need 500 caps or a high barter/speech skill to get the thrusters. All you need is a stealth boy and a quick hand ;)

Okay Please Help- On the account im playing right now I just got around to this quest and Im to the part where I go to the gibson scrap yard to get the thrust controllers. Heres the problem, when i got there I found Old Lady Gibson Dead because of some radscorpions. And now i cant get it from her. Is there any other way to find the thrust controllers? PLZ RESPOND THANKS. im just doing this to get the extra safehouse in novac or else i wouldnt care.

By the way, the 2nd needed item (thrust control module or something like that), which you can get from GIbson, is in a metal box inside her house near the garage door. Walk in thru the garage door and then to your left there's gonna be shitload of stuff, the module is in one of the metal boxes. And you can also get rocket souvenirs (5 of them are needed, there's like a thousand of them in a storage room) from the Dino Gift Shop, that works too (instead of igniting agent).

And then i found out about Davidson.
