Okay, I presume that short film making is similar to short story writing i.e a limited amount of time to make an impact so that the reader/viewer takes away something which will impact on his psyche both intellectually and emotionally to a more stimulating life - and subjectively, say from a literarature short story viewpoint, Maupassant; Chekhov; Tolstoy; Dubliners; or, contemporarily, short novellas of Michel Houllebecq can do this.
