Putting olive oil in the water doesn't prevent things from sticking, it stops the water from boiling over. You want san marzano tomatoes and you don't need tomato paste. All u need is san marzanos, salt, pepper, a bit of sugar, and fresh basil. She also forgot to add pasta water to the sauce and finish the noodles in the sauce. Pouring the sauce over a plate of noodles is sacrilegious.

If you stir it for the first minute or so, ya don't need to add oil, nor even worry about it sticking. You can flavor the water with salt and I use some garlic in the water too. Never rinse spaghetti after its cooked, the colder water seals the pasta and washes away what you want the sauce to stick to. Rather, serve it immediately. Easy on the red wine, it thins the sauce. Other than that, good job booby...uh er, baby :-)

The thing with the oil in the boiling water to keep the pasta from sticking together is an urban myth. The sticking is an effect of the amount of water. Just use enough water, the oil will only swim on top of the water.
