I ran out of room. To continue, the mere fact that this banner is called "Diana Ross
Where Did our Love Go" proves my point. Whoever posted this is obviously too young to know better or is a "Diane as a solo act revisionist historian." "Diana Ross" never recorded this song. It was done by the legendary Supremes of which she was an individual part.

I agree with everything you say; however, there is one difference. When Mary sings the songs of the Supremes, she is paying homage to the legendary trio. When Diane sings those songs, she is only interested in "Diana Ross" and promoting her own legacy. Diane and her "solo act" fans fail to realiz that the legend of the Supremes is greater than the sum of its parts. There is the legacy of The Supremes (of which Diane was a part) and that of "Diana Ross." Diane competes with the Supremes' legend.

You obviously were not there when 3 girls from Detroit became legends. Yes, it was Berry who decided to transfer the fame of the Supremes on to Diane....it was not the public's idea. For years, she sang very little of the Supremes' song since she saw herself as a "solo superstar." Now, since she doesn't have any more hits and her voice is completely shot, she's SCREECHING their songs.
I would prefer that she sing her own songs instead of those made by a legendary trio that she left.

I may not have been around in the 60's but I know talent when I see it... Mary Wilson still sings their songs aswell... do you hate her for doing that? lol... At least Diane has decent solo hits to please the crowds aswell, Dianas had more than 5 or 6 hits in the UK and is very much respected to this very day here.. Its as much Dianes' history as any of the others.. Most of us want to hear the the singer that sung lead on them hits.. wouldn't be the same if you heard Mary do it

Why is she always singing the songs of the legendary Supremes? Why doesn't she sing her lousy 5 or 6 hits that she had as a solo performer. No one wants to hear her screeching the songs made famous by the legendary trio. She sounds horrible! I can not stand that woman!

Haha... she always sung lead on all the hits so how can you not stand her voice? Mary, Flo and Cindy were back up.. nothing more just backing singers seemed to have a name then lol I couldn't even mention any of the Temptations names nor any of the others...Berry saw talent...Hence why Diana is a Legend today Well me and the other 10,000 plus people there last May loved it all!! ROLL ON 12TH JULY..WHEN YES DIANA ROSS WILL PLEASE THOUSANDS MORE AT LIVERPOOLS NEW ECHO ARENA :P

It was the mid 80's ROSS refused to sing any "SUPREMES" songs......to the fact once said " I was a SUPREME for 9 years.........and been DIANA ROSS(solo) for 20 years. ASK ME ABOUT DIANA ROSS! LOL
