This is a RE spin off game. Not a core game like RE5 was.

The reason for this game is that many people wondered (including me) what would a RE be like if you could shoot and move more.

I like the original resident evil games just as much as the next guy but you can't blame capcom from trying to do something new instead of shoveling the same stuff out year after year which every other company does these days. We should at least wait till the game comes out before we start saying how crap it is and not kicking off because it isn't the same game. Resident Evil Outbreak File 1 & 2 are the best games to me. They should make File 3 with the same characters but also introducing more as well, plus, they shouldn't change the camera angles, it was much more scarier when it stayed in one place of the room.
