@BladeLigerV It's X-Men: Evolution. And unless they've taken it down for some reason you can watch all of it on Marvel's official Youtube channel for free. And the guy was Spyke, a character created for the show and Storm's nephew. Good show.

@HaniiPuppy An electro magnetic pluse as been around as a way of defeating robots for a while now, and it will be for many years to come

@wildste Yeah, but in reality, they work by corrupting/wiping electro-magnetic and electrical storage - such as hard-drives, RAM, SSDs, etc. - not by actually creating a physical barrier that nothing metal can pass through. Whoever designed that scene thinking that that's what you could do with EM pulses obviously had no more knowledge about them other than "they do bad stuff to electronics". Hell, it's not even known as a pulse here.

@wildste it if they hadn't referred to it as an EM pulse - but to me, it brings up the same kind of feelings as (hypothetically) watching a 50s drama where one of the lead character's doctor has just told them "I'm very sorry, but you appear to have caught ... The Gay!" without an ounce of humour.
