@aorfix what are all the effects used to play this song? i am pretty much a noob when it comes to guitar effects but i would really like to play this song! it sounds so awesome!
@Dvermoet Digitech Whammy 4 controlled by Cubase (PC Software), that will change in a correct order the effects from the whammy (+1 octave, -1 octave and bypass), in a 16 step sequencer. The rest is only the distortion. I've used the Fuzz from the Zoom g9.2tt :)
thats awesome, sounds just like muses version of guitar effect :O could u send the midi file and tell me what else i need to get that effect to my amp? :P
@ConFuZeD1000 If you're talking about the harmonic, you just need to lightly press the E string in the 3rd position, play it and let the harmonic ring =P
I love your cover! I absolutely love this song. This song alone is the reason Muse is one of my favorite bands and Matt is one of my favorite guitarists/composers.
Might I ask you for that cubase file if you still have it? Thanks! And keep up the awesome Muse cover!
Brilliant, Even better than your first cover! How did you connect your whammy to your computer? did you use a midi to usb cable? or some sort of interface?
Awesome cover! I have an effect on Guitar Rig 4 that's pretty close but doesn't sound quite as cool. Any chance you could send over the cubase file my Digitech whammy should be here anytime!
Also, assuming you play along with the track, and the midi is synched up with it, if you were to play it live, without the muse backing track and got the timing slightly wrong, would it mess up the whole sound?
Also, setting this up....you just plug USB/MIDI into computer and whammy then press play in Cubase and then have the whammy actived and it works straight from that?? Cheer x
@fozzie156 File sent ;) unfortunately there are no muse backing track for this song, so I play it along with the original (I've removed the guitar intro from the original song). You can play along with your band, and if you play faster or slower, you can adjust the tempo on cubase :) Just plug your Midi In in the Digitech and the USB on the computer, and press play =P
Could you please send me MIDI file? Thanks

aorfix 1 year ago
Changes in midi ? about the during of each step ?
I guess you keep this sequence: off down off up off up off down off up off up off down off up
For the people who don't understand: off = unisson, up = +1oct and down = -1oct
Youreallysuckguy 1 year ago
@Youreallysuckguy No. I've tree sequences of the midi track ;) The effect it's not only the one you've mentioned
