Just installed Cyan 4.2.14.1 with Darkstar theme and Advanced Laucher replacement (dont know why i always have to reconfigure the homescreen :-( But this is another construction site

So added the bootcfs for 4.2.14.1 (somewhere out there, but should be the same as 4.2.13..)

Its really significantly faster!

Yes you do.... Or you can just flash Dwang's ROMs or Super D and not have to worry about doing this easy step everytime (its built into their ROMs)

Not bricked. Bricked means it doesn't turn on if you can see the G1 logo there is hope. Press power and hold the home key to get into recovery and if you were smart enough to root your phone your smart enough to fix it from there.

I've been trying this latest ram hack and constantly get the same results as before. This is using the latest rom Cyanogen 4.2.9 and the boot image file you provided in the sidebar. After doing the followed directions i notice that the "Total Shared Memory stays the same at 97924 but free memory actually drops from 5000 something before to 1404 now. . Any one else experience the same? Please help

I use the cyanogen updater from the marketplace and today updated to the latest 4.2.8.1. I'm just wondering whether it keeps saving apps to the sd card, or whether I need to tweak that again. I have noticed this version is really slow getting up my home screen after i press menu from it being in my pocket and just wondering whether its just the rom or whether its apps being saved to the device instead of sd. thanks guys.

Apps2sd is ALWAYS automatic. They're kept in the ext partition of your sd card and will remain there. Unless you wipe them. =)

Hey buddy, the popup for the 4.2.7.1 directions are missing "cyanogen" right before the 4271.... which will confuse a bit of noobs... the file is named such which is why youll get a "no such file" thing... you must type the full name of the .img incase any of you get stuck on that.

Ya, its possible to have even a Hero ROM or Cyanogen and lose root with it. You just need to reroot. Shouldn't be too hard since you're more than half way through the process... =p

i think so you'll be able to tell if you have 4.2.6 and u use da hack and than try a game usually something that depends on the cpu and if it runs slow or doesn't work than your hack works ... btw wass different about 4.2.6 than 4.2.5

4.2.6 is a little slower. Basically he reverted back to the 4.2.4 kernel cuz it was more stable. Boooooo... =p
