stock u have 250 Nm, not lbs, so u actually have around 185 lbs of torque on a stock 1.9 TDI PD VW Golf V

nope, there are 6 gear manuals with the 1.9 TDI motor around, a friend of mine got one. It should be from 2006 and its Comfortline.

Personally i drive a 2.0 TDI Sportline chipped to ~165 hp and 370 nm.

Dont worry, I was confused to about the gears, because i know somebody who has a 1.9 TDI with only 5 gears...

as much as you want^^

but more than ~ 20% is bad for the engine ive heard. so you can get like 125 to 130 hp i would guess.

its a PD engine, your injectors can get it to 160hp and even more... but the weakest link is the turbo (kkk i guess) ==> too much smoke :p

if its a good remap, you probably get 140-150 hp ;)

if you want more hp, you need a bigger turbo and clutch upgrade...

Yea a regular stage 1 Unitronic chip for a MK4 Jetta gets you about 119hp and 196ft/lbs of torque. I've driven one and it's fast.

I know a BSR chiptuning in sweden takes it to 150hp no other mods :D Dont remember the tourque but it was good 2

after you chiped it does it produce any smoke?

No, nothing at all.

I've done now 45000 km in one year and i never had any problems with smoke or anything like that.

I've only noticed that the car, I think/hope it's dependent on the particulate filter, sometimes not reacts instantly to my orders, it then has a thinking minute. A few minutes later it's gone.

So i can only support ABT with the very nice to drive chip.

Yeah, i don't like the dsg. My old Golf V had it and it had really a lot of bugs, he was from 02/06.

This one hasn't got a dsg but a 6 speed.

I just love it. It's a perfect mix between comfort and sport...
