Potential abuse from an adoptive parent? That is rather speculative at best. With that mentality, one could say that every child who suffered from abuse should have been aborted. In this day and age, how often are women in the US "irrevocably damaged by pregnancy"? Tiller's specialty, partial birth abortion, wound up being nothing but a full term delivery with a traumatic end for the child. So I guess the question is still there, when is an abortion the proper choice? Does the baby get a say?

The damaged by pregnancy, potential abuse and other list of insurmountable problems are just a smoke screen to have abortion ready as an option anywhere from 0 to 9 months. I have actually worked with teenage girls first hand for 25 years including the last 18 months at a Juvenile Correctional Facility. I have seen first hand the devastation of abortion. Late term abortion was not limited in Kansas, where I live. Unlike you, I have actually tried to promote a dialogue on the subject. Your side seems to demand abortion in all cases. I am surprised that it took you this many posts to bring up the (rape, incest,mental/phys disability) boiler plate line. Given that .5% to 2% off all abortions are done for that reason. Over the years, I have stood with families who have lost a tiny baby because of a birth defect. I have asked the mother in private if she thought of aborting. No is the answer I get.

Wow. It is amazing that a person who tries to do well and help others is thought of as someone who thinks well of oneself.
