@oneyedthing I don't have any lights in my enclosures, for the video I just use a aquarium hooded light, but only for the video.

I am sure you can get em there, but I agree, HD is bad for Cust service... unfortunatly we don't have a Lowes near me so I have to rely on Marvins..

@619ELMOTC I actually do not use this method anymore, I get the 2" vents from Tarantulacages(DOT)com....they pop in a 2" hole, then you just bend the inside lip to secure them. The vrings are for a toilet fix, I just looked at lowes or homedepot and found them in the plumbing department.

I just finished a plexiglass lid last week. Turned out good. I'll probably use your new latch idea with the picture hooks for my other cages, cause I may be getting a H. maculata. The one I just did is just for an Avic avic. The screen clips are iffy for me. I couldn't quite get them to bend and lock the lid in place. I did eventually get it though. looks good. I'll post a vid. I used cabinet hinges which are offset w/ springs. Those need to come out. The hinge will snap your fingers.

When you stand a 5 or 10 gal on end for arboreals do you use glass tanks? I would like to make a vertical tank but am concerned that it would stress the glass too much to support a tall tank.
