  • I was scared to call your mother, for news that you weren't getting better...Ugh my god, what the hell am I suppose to do?

  • I'd do her.

  • ... Anyone notice that this is categorized as Comedy?

  • @Frigidblue ...weird.

  • Woah, I was listening to this song and found your channel Jimmy. Haha

  • Something is wrong with Andy Hull... it's not human to be able to make music like this, so perfect and stirring...

  • I cried just listening to the preview of the song on itunes :'( I don't cry easily....

  • To it*

  • I closed my eyes and listened to to like B0Y genius did, and it was so beautiful. I didn't want it to end.

  • Andy Hull is truly incredible; when I close my eyes and listen to this song, it truly transports me somewhere beautiful.

  • I was in a neutral mood, and by the end of this song, I was teared up.

  • THIS SONG JUST BROKE MY HEART IN TWO. GOOD JOB MANCHESTER ORCHESTRA THANK YOU.

  • I lost an extremely handsome baby boy!!!!!!!!! 29 days old just did not wake up. Close to three months now, it hurts so extreme. This song is beautiful. It hurts, anybody in this position like his daddy and I give a shout out, it be lovely! Want to seek help, but how do you talk about something like this, something so tragic. Good Song!!!!!!!!!! Just horrible experience.

  • ha i just listened to morte et dabo by asking alexandria and now im listening to this, awesome.

  • I needed some new meaningful music.. Since all of my old stuff was ruined by my ex..

This, I can't put a tag, or a name, or a title on this song. I love it, and Manchester Orchestra just filled a huge void.

  • Wow. I just listen to one of their songs and I AUTOMATICALLY think "Why haven't I heard of this artist before?" This is just so amazing. His voice...ahhh his voice is so simple. No auto-tune, no added effects. So simplistic.

  • How can anyone dislike this song?

    its so heart felt.

  • @OutOfThereDaisy I'm 15 too and I find it terrible to watch our youth destroy beautiful things as well.

I strongly believe there is a relation to this woman in which I have no information on..zilch.. except for the pictures that I also have...PLEASE if someone, anyone can be of some assistance..Help! -Thank YOU!!

  • this is beautiful. beyond words amazing.

  • Andy Hull is just incredible.

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • Im so enchanted by this song...

  • @normalboy64 Listen to the lyrics

  • its about his mother dieing and he is so scared he doesnt know what to do.

  • to the 7 people who disliked this song. go die.

  • I wish I was intelligent enough to know what this man is singing about. It's already beautiful as it is, but imagine how beautiful it'd be once you've grasped the meaning.

  • @jellyb0ness I'm pretty sure he's talking to the girl that he loves, and either she's sick or already dead. He's saying that he feels her pain and he ran away to place that was almost as beautiful as her. The line "I was scared to call your mother, for news that you weren't getting better" is probably about being scared for being around her because he knows she isn't well. That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

  • Andy Hull is just a lyrical genius <3

Right Away Great Captain takes my breath away too! <3

  • Manchester Orchestra, you're the reason I love losing sleep.

  • Andy Hull is the man

  • This song is depressing, but amazing at the same time.

  • Love this ♥

Sounds alot more like Andy's solo project- Right Away Great Captain.

  • Hey guys, this is a bit cheeky, but my band (anderson) are trying to seek fans of truly good music, and where better than here? We aren't necessarily mainstream, which is why we are targeting people who listen to the bands that we love. Hopefully you guys could give us a minute and listen to a couple of our new Demo's? thaaaankyou! here's our myspace...myspace/andersonband you can also find us on facebook :) x

  • This song is so beautiful.

    It gets me ever time:(

    His voice is amazing..

  • you lot !!!!! shhhhh

  • boob

  • I want this song to play at my funeral.

  • .... damn you :c

  • But i didnt even disagree O_o I just rephrased my point

  • stop being so damn formal, you sound like a snub. I didnt contradict myself, my understanding of a true fan is someone who loves the bands music, not the actual band, and not any other different music they make. As for me, I'm not even one of them. I enjoy Manchester Orchestra's music, but a lot of their songs I dont like, and I have other bands I prefer.

  • Feel the pain sounds DARKSIDE.

  • Not just emotions, there's generally a message. Not with all bands though. The band shouldnt try to please all fans, just the ones who are listening to the music they make, not the music they want them to make.

  • Bull shit. A band that doesnt care about it's TRUE fans isn't one we can understand.

  • 6 people didnt feel the pain

  • @whoaitslindsey1 akward way to make that statement but agreed..

  • @DeadRobots idk y everyone puts so much into it. just listen and enjoy the music. you either like it or you dont thats all there is to it.

  • I would rather see a band I've followed since around the time they start get big, than to think they're so much better being only local. A band being successful with their music and reaching to a wider audience doesn't make their music worst. When their sound changes that's because albums are made over years so the members get older and whats important to write about shifts generally :P Don't be greedy about your music. Be happy if kids listen to good music like this, better than Biebz. ;]

  • Anyone know if there's any back story to this song? I couldn't find anything but it seems like there might be a tie in to some of their songs.

  • what would life be without manchester orchestra?

  • So amazing <3

  • I wish they were a little more famous so I could find his CD on my country :(

  • @rockerMan0987 is there a post office near you i can send a burned copy to?

  • @saracbean7 no thanks man I've already bought this and mean everything to nothing on iTunes

  • IS THE PICTURE MOVING?

  • @HamstersTakeOver

    yes. lol

  • This is the first song that has ever made me cry ... It's B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L

  • So beautiful.

    xo

  • ii love it and im 14 too

  • @rockway9637 you are gay shut up!

  • @rockerMan0987 pittooooo

  • 6 people must have sneezed when they went to hit the like button and accidentally hit dislike.

  • Gosh. This is sooo amazing. Those who put a thumbs down on this are insane. THIS is music. This is breath taking and full of such emotion people could only dream of showing ugh.....I love Manchester Orchestra sooo much.

  • I really like this song, just so raw and full of emotions.

    Any other songs like this?

  • @TheCatchyName Check out... Zia Records How I Waited. It's amazing... Or Zia Records Shake It Out.. Its just Andy being a G. Enjoy :D

  • @TheCatchyName listen to their side project, right away great captain. gasoline family and i was a cage are my faves.

  • what raw emotion!!!

  • Beautiful.

  • Omg I think I might cry I kinda had that same thing :'( but the song is amazing

  • I love this. No flashy music and catchy tunes to mask the song. Just a raw, stunning voice and the calming strumming of strings. Beautiful.

  • this song makes me sad. but its good.

    :(:)

  • great mood it has

  • great song very beautiful makes meh think of things of ole amazing song

  • I can't get this song out of my head. It's so beautiful.

  • very nice.

  • this is beautiful.

  • I saw these guys at a local bar before they got big. They were amazing! This song gave me goose bumps.

  • its a effin beauiful song thats what it is

  • how is it stupid? or weird?

  • i love how they just found that picture at a garage sale and used it for an album cover

  • me too! and i love that you knew it was from a garage sale! haha

  • this song is brilliant. i love his mentioning of hallelujah at the end. if shows how powerful his love for her must have been.

  • I think he may be speaking to God but yeah... maybe i'm wrong.

  • you're probably right. i just know it can also mean that you finally found the one that you love. and this song just reminds me of a time when someone would say this.

  • best youtube name ever

  • :')

  • can i ask a question? if its about somebody dying or being sick, why the hell did you put this video in the comedy category?

  • cause the lady is tryin to fix the tv but its still not working, hahahahahahahahahaha

  • probably to boost the views. a lot of videos put extra tags etc in so it appears more in filters.

  • What is this song about?

Is it like someone he loves is really sick?

  • Sort of, It sounds more like someone died.

  • if you listen to 'I can feel a hot one' THEN this song it makes this song make sense.

    Kind of like a story.

  • Heh, same here 0_0

  • oh my gosh! that picture is moving! lol i didn't notice that before

  • what's the story with the woman in the picture?

  • I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that one of the guys found it at a garage sale and though it was really cool so they used it for the cover. no real meaning lol

  • I'm going to see them on the 29th at the the SPANISH MOON in Baton Rouge

  • beautiful.

  • such a ssad song my goddd

  • incredible.

    every song leaves me speechless.

  • Gosh, this band is seriously so amazing. Every song is beautiful.

  • I am in love with you Manchester Orchestra!

  • @linguiniman945 Me too, grrr!

  • I'm glad they go a little unoticed. That means I will not get tired of them as I do other bands once all the little kids start listening to them.

  • @zirus01 that's a stupid reason to stop listening to anything

if a band is talented- you listen to them

if they suck- you turn it off

it doesn't matter how many people listen to them-a bands quality in performance shouldn't be measured by fans, but by abilities

  • @zirus01 Let em make it so more artist can emerge and think its worth the while. The music industry has already failed leaving the door open for this kinda stuff. We don't want the bands to not make it. Just the corporate pirates. Which is funny to me. For years the music industry raping and pillaging from the fans to the bands....and now they are crying cause people won't bend over and take buying a whole cd to get 1 song from some band their corporation put together and wrote songs for!

  • @zirus01 im young, im 14 & i love them,& i hate when my age people ruin something thats so beautiful ,

  • @OutOfThereDaisy

I'm fourteen too. I totally agree. My faverite band right now. Next is Say Anything, Then its Bright Eyes. I can't stand our generation and how not passionate about anything they can be.

  • @kidwithdasmellys and how passionate they can be about crap that doesnt even have meaning. and for music that just talks about clubbing and sex

  • @OutOfThereDaisy I'm the same age, and I agree.

  • @OutOfThereDaisy I'm 13 and I just can't understand why somebody are listening Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga. I don't even want to mention them. At school I don't have any friends because I'm listening to rock music, and they says that rock is going to ruin my life. But I don't care that they aren't talking to me, cause I'm having friends that likes me the way I am. Simple Plan, Manchester Orchestra and Nirvana are the reason that I'm still alive. Greetings from Macedonia :D

  • @zirus01

Fortunately, the singer isn't any model. So they won't be unintentionally selling sex appeal as all "The Industry's"/MTV's bands have done intentionally in the past

  • @zirus01 sigh-don't generalize people we we're all kids at one time and some of my friends younger siblings have a much better exposure and appreciation for music from good musicians than then your average person in general.

(Tho I'm content with my favorite bands not standing out.)

fk for that matter ur lame for getting tired of some thing cuz of its following you can't enjoy anything if that's the case-what do u listen to anyway??&whats with 61 people thinking this is ok.

  • @zirus01

It also keeps it more about the music, and less about the money. The less popular the song tends to be, the more I seem to like it. (:

  • manchester orchestra is amazing.

    ive seen them live!

    they are so good...

i love listening to them just to calm down!

lol there one of my favorite bands!

and this is one of my favorite songs!

  • where did u see them, i saw them at reading 07, they were well good :)

  • i know! i love this band and this song is AMAZING

  • I think it's sad that this band doesn't have more recognition.

Such a fabulous band going unnoticed should be a crime.

    Lovely song <3
