One of the worst ways I can think of to help someone who spends too much time in the house is to give him a way to look at other people's lives without ever leaving the house.
This is the first and only episode of FRASIER that my sister ever saw. She watched the first three minutes and took an instant dislike to Frasier correcting Doug's grammar then telling Roz he shops by phone. I believe her exact words were "glorifying yuppies who look down on the rest of us. This is what the world has become." I could never get her to watch another episode. She hates the character Frasier. If only she loved this show as much as I do! It is the greatest comedy of all time.
@glachhu If she only knew that it was mocking yuppies but still allowing the viewer to fall in love with the characters. Frasier is the best sitcom ever made.
@glachhu There is an episode where Frasier has Christmas dinner with homeless people and forgets his wallet and they raise money for him to pay for his meal and toss him a quarter to call his dad. I've introduced people to Frasier and the episode that gets them instantly hooked is "The Candidate." That episode is sure fired to crack anyone up. And "The Doctor is Out" is another hilarious episode
hahahhaa funny that Niles mentions taking Aunt Patrice to see La Cage aux Folles when Kelsey Grammar starred in the most recent (2010 i think) Broadway revival!!!
What a gentleman! Martin moves AWAY from the window so Irene doesn't see him with another woman. Nowadays, many men would flaunt being with another woman so as to make the other woman jealous.
@DoveOfFlames There's a word for that...assholes. If someone thinks so little of someone's feelings that they need to do that, they should just dump the person and save lots of hassle.
@TheScaletIbisNW you're right - here's a bit of trivia for you - John Mahoney (Martin) is actually from England, born not too far from Manchester where Daphne is from. He apparently coached her on her accent, though she doesn't actually sound to me like she's from there much at all!
@TheLazybandito Haven't you ever heard Jane Leeves' real accent? Her Manchester one is spectacular! You can hear the way she really speaks during interviews and such. It's wonderful the way she "dumps her accent down" to that of a "common British working person." I think it takes excellent training.
@TheScaletIbisNW They even turned her into a conceited bitch after she married Niles. She really became snotty. Her innocent sweetness was totally gone. Money really changes people.
@Milfuelle100 I think she changed too, that's one of the reason I like old ones more, they r more "care free". In the beginning Daphne is this "natural child",peculiar in a cute way. Later as the show also finds other levels and get bit more serious,Niles problem with his second wife etc, she is much more serious, rational.

"Pizza Pizza Pizza"? LOL! Wasn't there another restaurant called "Chicken Chicken Chicken" or something like that too?
Also, LOL at Aunt Irene. And to think that she's probably way less bizarre than Maris....poor Niles.

It's just amazing how much Daphne changed from season 1 to season 11, even her accent is different.

@TheScaletIbisNW Thats quite natural for someone to lose/inadvertently tone down their native accent when living in a foreign land.

@TheScaletIbisNW How did Daphne change? And is her accent really different? Maybe she's losing it because she's lived in America for so long.
