The west gave Arabs Cars, television, cell phone, refrigerators and almost ALL the modern comforts they enjoy

The Arabs had made great strides long before Islam. Look at the mathematics of the Babylonions. Look at the pyramids. Many many achievements came out of the Arab world long before Islam came along. Considering how "scientific" the muslims were suppose to be, their achievements do not match those of the ancient Greeks nor of enlightenment Europe. Don't forget: Islam was itself teh invention of an Arab, unless you believe the utter hogwash that ancients dictated the Koran to Mohammed.
