i like the harmonized part at ard 1:34 and they managed to do a good drop in volume into the fast part....and yup its true the horn section is DAMN powerful... btw ive just been transferred from euphonium to horn section due to some manpower problems... but i tell you its a beyond imagination instrument to play... its really and REALLY HARD.... GO HORNS GO!!!!! : )

Being a horn player I have to compliment the horn section for being AWESOME!!! and I really like reading all the comments and seeing all the people who appreciate the instrument. An I thank all of you who appreciates us cuz the instrument is the hardest brass instrument to play (cue all the replies disagreeing with me).

@BoHinman Yeah, french horn is hard! I played clarinet for 4 years, thought "Ah, french horn'll be easy!"

I misjudged that instrument and felt a lot of back pain during the first few weeks. I've actually become quite good in 5 months of playing. I'm playing Level 4 music on it. I don't know about any other brass instruments, but I know they are so much harder than woodwinds.

Why is that Euphonium player using a rotary-valve horn? Every one that I've ever played of was REALLY dirty(valve-action wise), while piston-valve horns are much cleaner.

Got the job done, though, because this performance was awesome, and there wasn't any Euphonium sloppiness sticking out :D

This is a difficult piece. It looks easy when you first sight read it, but as you play it, it is extremely difficult to stay in tune with the other members of you section. I love it. My band failed pretty hard though
