  • That's fascinating, looks like it could be very dangerous.. Dodging through all that traffic on foot just to sit in dirty seat with jizz stains and feces..

  • In Tallinn/Estonia about half of the stops are like this. But the cars alwais stop at the end of the tram and wait until all doors are closed and people have moved away. And pedestrians also have to wait on the sidewalk until tram doors are opened. Its the law of traffic.

  • We have the same in Melbourne, Australia.

The are supposed to stop and give way.

    But not always.

Some of the cars just speed though.

  • I agree trams are the answer if we are going to clean up the air and reduce vehicle emissions on all of our rodes.

  • @jscarletknightteamdr

also if used correctly it can reduce traffic.

  • Ok do what, they don't think a platform is a safer way to load and unload these poor pax. Very scary. What is the average age of the trams in Moscow.

  • In other countries the majority of tram stations have an "island" safe that way. The majority in Moscow are like this. So there is a difference. Not a big deal but still just a little dangerous

  • "It is impossible, because it will hurt to cars traffic"

  • @trolleway Are you saying it will make traffic in Russia worse? That's the drivers problem. Ride the metro or the tram. If trams rode the speed that they ride in Europe and had good tracks (and free space on the tracks) then people would stop riding their cars and ride the tram. Tram is the solution and not the problem.

  • I have seen similar in Omsk but the road is not as busy, this is a form of Russian roulette!

  • Thank you for recording this dangerous unsuitable tram stops! We have about 50 tram stops where you have to cross one lane in Prague... But if road is too wide we have "tram island". Passengers never cross two lanes just after leaving tram doors. And drivers can´t park on tram stop! I hope we will have more tram stop "capes" where pavement extends to tram tracks. It is better for all. Particularly strollers and invalids.

  • если у водил хоть чуть-чуть есть уважения и мозгов, то все нормально будет.

  • dada..kak v Brno ,o))

  • same in bg, there's just no room

toronto usually has little islands for a stop, or if there's no room, the stops are where traffic lights are

  • there is room here. Just don't allow parking and you will have 2 lanes and one of them can be used for the island.

  • Tram island needn´t be as wide as 1 lane so you will have enough space to paint bike lane or extend sidewalk for example (even plant trees or build benches, or restaurant front gardens in summer) I wish to have nice cities for people not for cars! Fewer lanes have also positive effect on reducing car traffic. But don´t forget to allow tram track for buses when it is possible...

  • @krizvasa

I have not seen one bike lane at all in Moscow. Good news though. Lanes are being reduced in Times Square (NYC) and now the area has been converted to a pedestrian area.

  • I think our Prague city council is starting to realize that painting bike lanes is cheap way how to fulfill about 5% of people who want bike in city (In Netherlands it can be even 50%). But they are painting bike lanes only when it is easy and isn´t needed to delete cal lane :-( Good news from NY are great. I´m really happy some US cities are trying to change something. I know lot from youtube user StreetfilmsVlog.
