actually, im using macbook air right now. If you are frequent traveller, I advise you to buy it... very light with a very good battery. Otherwise, PC is better and easier to deal with.

@Musiphonix Vaio is a laptop branch of Sony, i am yet to see someone who built their own Laptop (not modified but built). I have had my viao VGN series for 16 months or so, still looks like new and runs like new aswell. It cost me 1600 pounds as at the time it was top of the range. I expect this will last me another 2-3 years before an upgrade is due. It was still cheaper than a Shitbook and i can play the new GTA on it with no problem. Buy a more expensive laptop and it will last you years.

Yeah, I'd agree. If your getting a lappy the HP's do seem to be very solid. Though I'd probably go with ASUS.
Dell is by far the worst though, and that includes alienware. I'd even venture to say that the alienware machines are more a rip off than any apple rig.
@hempheadfor20 I liked the old alienware (albeit they are expensive) before they were bought out by Dell :( Dell has completely ruined them. ASUS and Acer are pretty good when it comes to desktops (I often use as much ASUS hardware as I can when building a PC, my current PC has an ASUS monitor, ASUS soundcard, and an ASUS motherboard :o) but my HP laptop has been an absolute badass for 3 years now, it even plays Crysis on semi-high settings (not very high settings.. obviously XD).
I would thumbs up, but although I think(KNOW) Macs are fucking worthless, 4/5 of the companies you mentioned suck ass, not to mention Dell and Alienware are the same company. Only company somewhat reputable you mentioned was Toshiba. Dell/HP are junk with terrible customer service. Alienware is the same, but like retarded apple users, they buy a computer to look cool. Sony makes well built computers but overpriced as fuck.

I switched to Mac 2 yrs age, and have not looked back since. While people argue about which one is better, I'm loving the iMac I have. So keep on hating. I think the PC users protest too much for a reason.

I have a macbook. I know what macs are and how to use them, im not stupid enough to post a comment w/o experiencing the product firsthand. And guess what????? My experience with it is totally opposite. Yes, like many other people, I bought it b/c it looked "cool." First month of using it, I was just like you. Use my friend's Macbook Air since my HP dv8t (1.6 Ghz i7 processor) was low on battery recently (during mid November) - The Macbook Air ran Windows 7 so much better than my dv8t lol. You keep discussing the problems with the operating system - Those problems are usually caused by user error. Macbooks are made with great hardware - the hardware is worth paying for. I am upgrading to a Macbook Pro 3.1Ghz duo core during the holiday season, having played around with one at an Apple store :)
Yes, I was only discussing the operating system. The hardware works fine. After I was frustrated, I put windows in it and it ran fine. Only thing that irritated me was that there was no right click but I could just use ctrl click. Another annoying thing is to take the hardrive out, you have to go through tons of screws just to get the the hardrive, but how often would I need to do that? But still, all these little things are a major turn off.
Trust me kid, I know a lot more about Windows than you will ever know :) By the way, Windows is not an operating system - It is a family of operating systems. Windows 7 is merely a gaming operating system, whereas OSX 10.6 handles everything else better.

Alright to be specific Windows 7 is better than Mac. 75% of the people buy computers to play games. Windows does that better than Mac and supports like 100 times more games. Also, Mac is expensive, and it's only better than Windows at graphical designs, which only around >0.5% of the people buy computers to do graphical design.
And most statistics are made up on spot :) People buy Windows computers because PCs are relatively cheap. You can get a decent laptop for ~$400-500. When it comes to college laptops, Macbooks are reliable with relatively rare hardware problems. The Mac OS also uses half the amount of power that Windows 7 uses. Although Windows offer the ability to play games, OSX 10.6 is more reliable and faster than Windows 7. They made boot camp just so Mac users have the best of both worlds :)
Well Windows for Mac has way more problems than Windows. My Mac 4GB ram with vista enterprise for mac it's like became 256mb of ram i can't even open a program without lagging for 5 seconds. I deleted it months ago.
I have not experienced that =\ Even my friend's late 2008 Macbook Air could handle a windows operating system like a charm. There might be a problem with your Mac in particular - How old is it? I cannot really see someone who advocates hatred towards Macs as one who has recently purchased a Mac.

Why would you game on a computer when you can do it on something like a PS3 which is better than Xbox 360 in every way. UMAD bro? i think you mad. people who fight over mac and pc are fucking retards. its so damn insignificant because each computer has a different use. i own a toshiba but id run mac osx on it if i was to be editing music, producing music etc. however the mac hardware is sub par, asus and toshiba hardware works better. fuck the mac hardware aka macbook etc. the os is whats really important.

dude that's wrong. I've built pcs before and yes they're good, actually better than my mac but it's not the same. Personally I just love the way my mac runs better than any windows machine. It's not that one is better it's just one fits my style better. I just think that everything a computer should be is what macs do. PCs are amazing in their own way too.

ok, dude, you shouldn't have to install anything for your computer to be fantastic. you should buy it and have it work.i know how you think, i loved PCs for years and i was very stubborn and argued against my friend for years. for christmas my dad got me a mac because he thought they were better, i disagreed and was almost angry he got it for me. i loved it and knew how to used it within the hour of turning it on. seriously, go to an apple store and see what a computer should really be.

I have a macbook. I know what macs are and how to use them, im not stupid enough to post a comment w/o experiencing the product firsthand. And guess what????? My experience with it is totally opposite. Yes, like many other people, I bought it b/c it looked "cool." First month of using it, I was just like you. After that, it was hell and ran into many problems. I want to throw it away but I bought it with my own money and dont want to waste more than $1000.

Use my friend's Macbook Air since my HP dv8t (1.6 Ghz i7 processor) was low on battery recently (during mid November) - The Macbook Air ran Windows 7 so much better than my dv8t lol. You keep discussing the problems with the operating system - Those problems are usually caused by user error. Macbooks are made with great hardware - the hardware is worth paying for. I am upgrading to a Macbook Pro 3.1Ghz duo core during the holiday season, having played around with one at an Apple store :)

Yes, I was only discussing the operating system. The hardware works fine. After I was frustrated, I put windows in it and it ran fine. Only thing that irritated me was that there was no right click but I could just use ctrl click. Another annoying thing is to take the hardrive out, you have to go through tons of screws just to get the the hardrive, but how often would I need to do that? But still, all these little things are a major turn off.

Trust me kid, I know a lot more about Windows than you will ever know :) By the way, Windows is not an operating system - It is a family of operating systems. Windows 7 is merely a gaming operating system, whereas OSX 10.6 handles everything else better.
By the way, I noticed that you said that "Mac users are: (grammatical mistake; there should be no semicolon there) stupid or spoiled children" - Although I cannot prove that you are spoiled, I can prove that you spelled available wrong :)

Alright to be specific Windows 7 is better than Mac. 75% of the people buy computers to play games. Windows does that better than Mac and supports like 100 times more games. Also, Mac is expensive, and it's only better than Windows at graphical designs, which only around >0.5% of the people buy computers to do graphical design.

And most statistics are made up on spot :) People buy Windows computers because PCs are relatively cheap. You can get a decent laptop for ~$400-500. When it comes to college laptops, Macbooks are reliable with relatively rare hardware problems. The Mac OS also uses half the amount of power that Windows 7 uses. Although Windows offer the ability to play games, OSX 10.6 is more reliable and faster than Windows 7. They made boot camp just so Mac users have the best of both worlds :)

Well Windows for Mac has way more problems than Windows. My Mac 4GB ram with vista enterprise for mac it's like became 256mb of ram i can't even open a program without lagging for 5 seconds. I deleted it months ago.

I have not experienced that =\ Even my friend's late 2008 Macbook Air could handle a windows operating system like a charm. There might be a problem with your Mac in particular - How old is it? I cannot really see someone who advocates hatred towards Macs as one who has recently purchased a Mac.
