I just find it funny to compare such a hedonistic drug abused/womaniser to a 1st century self-defined Messiah who preached sexual morality and probably didn't do too much drugs.

He had a good heart, no-one can question that. Anyone who listens to Pacific Ocean Blue can't possibly doubt it.

Don't get me wrong, Taylor did a BEAUTIFUL job on Dennis' vocal part. But you just can't match the voice of Dennis Wilson. That's not Taylor's fault at all - Dennis just had a unique voice, especially come '76-7 when POB was recorded.

yEAH, Its pretty lame that everyone has to throw a surfer into a Beach Boy edit. This masterpiece has nothing to do with surfing. It's like throwing clips of "holding hands" for every Beatles video.

Basically, it's down to the success they had during their early years, with songs about, surfing, girls, and cars, and, i think because of those few years, The Beach Boys will always be stuck in the typecast of those things, so, no matter how beautiful the song is, the people incharge of making the video will always try to sneak such things in. well, that's what i think, anyway, Beautiful song by the way.

I'm pretty sure that the underwater surfer you see is Dennis Wilson.  Dennis loved the Beach, the Surf ... the Beach Boys just promoted Dennis's Image as their own. It wholly appropriate to use Surf shots for Denny's video! He was a surfer long before he became a drummer.
