  • I love these guys, but they sounded a lot better 40 years ago

  • The Ebo Walker who played with Bluegrass Alliance and the Newgrass Revival was really named Harry Lee Shelor, Jr. His mother was a professional pianist and his father played fiddle. He took the stage name Ebo Walker from the Dillards song.

  • wish i could of seen them in person grew up watching them on andy griffith show

  • Ebo used to be a mighty fine fiddle player, now he is a drunk that died in the out house. what's up with that.

  • RIP Mitch wherver your at, I'm sure your tellin stories and their rollin on the ground with laughter!

  • Just got a reply from Doug Dillard in which he says that Ebo Walker was from Kentucky.

  • Was Ebo Walker from Kentucky, Alabama, or Missouri because i heard them sing it with all 3 of these states

  • when andy and barney walked in the house on moutain wedding, what was the song they were playin rob

  • If i'm not mistaken, and I might be, it was Tearin' Up Your Old Clothes For Rags....what they played in the jail in the first Darling episode. But I'll check that.

  • I hear tell Ebo was actually real, or at least based on a real guy.

  • Ebo Walker was the name of a bluegrass bass player who at one time played with the Bluegrass Alliance. Don't know if the song refers to him or not.

  • Also, along with Sam Bush, Courtney Johnson, and Curtis Burch, he later went on to form New Grass Revival.

  • if you listen to their original recording, Ebo was from Kentucky, (GO CATS)

  • 'cause the Dillards are FROM Missouri.....

  • it just doesn't get better than the Dillards!

  • You bet ye...
