  • Wish someone would upload the video they did to the song "Cry Sky" damn emotional song in memory of Stevie Ray written by Tommy Shannon.

  • beckyroonio...when you get to reverbnation click the "music and artists" tab then do a search of the title "Cry Sky" it will come up under Tommy Shannon since he wrote the song. I hope this helps.

  • How can anyone NOT like Malford???? No matter how many times I hear Cry Sky I still get a serious case of wet eye. Plus the guy is such a sweetheart of a human being. Keep on wailin' Brother Malford!!!

  • Love Malford! Austin's secret weapon as Charlie affectionately refers to him! Loved Malford fronting Storyville with Tommy & Chris & the 2 Daves! (Holt & Grissom) & I think Malford still plays every Monday at Antones with the Blue Monday House Band. Very underrated soul stylist. Doyle is awesome here BTW! & yes, "Cry Sky" is the best song on DT's album & this ACL performance. The live version has Eric Johnson & KWS backing Malford and is just sublime.

  • Double Trouble - " Been A Long Time " Tone Cool Records 20001

  • i want Doyle's coat!

  • Why can't we see the "CRY SKY" video too? It's on the same show.

  • @beckyrooonio

  • @informalmusic omg thank you soooo much...!!

  • some vids need a love button ;)

  • does anyone have his version of The Soul Of A Man?

  • This was on an album with Doyle Bramhall, Susan Tedeshi, and I think Charlie Sexton. Anybody know what it was called?

  • @ThePedub

    It's called "Been a long time" :-)

  • I love Malford's vocals on Eric Johnson's "Brilliant Room"

  • @rumblefishism Malford sang on some of Eric's live Alien Love Child record, "Live And Beyond" too! Amazing!

  • awesome video! i wonder why there are two bass players though? i can't even here the other guy though

  • @camthebassist It's actually the 5 string bass we hear best, Tommy is playing simple bass licks, while the other bass acts like a lead bass guitar, with driving bass rythem and also doing alot of fills duing the chorus..

Doyle on the other hand is playing off of this bass guitar's lead rythem

  • This video is from 2001 , but I had to include it. What a great combination of musicians. I remember when Charlie Sexton used to hang out at the One Nite. He was about 15 back then. He still looks like a baby.

  • Just saw him play at the Saxon Pub in Austin tonight. He was absolutely incredible. Feel so lucky to catch him in such a small venue. Unbelievably soulful voice!

    Totally awesome, guys!!! Love ya.

    :D

  • Amazing! Just amazing!

  • Terrific CD with a variety of people sitting in. Malford has a beautiful voice, makes everyone else sound gay! Storyville in their heyday matched anybody for blues & RR!! Long live these Austin Boys! You light us all up....keep'n it lit for you!!

  • some good shit there, he has a great voice

  • Doyle is fantastic as lead guitar player :)

    My Hero and Idol :)

  • Wow! I heard Malford Milligan first at the Blues Festival here with the Boneshakers... and then I couldn't find him anywhere. He is quite simply one of the best and most inspiring singers I've ever heard--and I'm 66 years old. Now, here he is all over the Internet!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Anyone who doesn't get up and dance when this man sings is dead.

    DL

  • I've loved him since Stick People! That was a true Texas original...

  • All my favourite musicians in this video.... it's just a m a z i n g! Such a great song......outstanding!♥♪♫♪♥

  • Malford is one of the greatest singers ever! If you ever run into him, he'a also one of the nicest persons you will ever meet! I did and he was so nice to me. I even named a pet "Malfie" in his memory. Told him so too.

  • AUSTIN CITY LIMITS - NEEDS to STOP releasing bullshit compilation DVD's.

They NEED to release COMPLETE performances, they are pissing me OFF BIG-TIME. I'm about ready to move there and take OVER as the person in CHARGE. PUNKS! I could make more money for them!

  • It's not about the money IDIOT

  • Why isn't this on DVD or did it slip past me?

    Please!

  • Is Malford Milligan black or white?

  • He's a black albino - great voice, huh?

  • Fuck Yeah

  • Wait till you see him perform with John Gaar.... amazing. Those two click.

  • Malford is a hell of singer and so very nice. . .I have also been a fan since Storeyville days seeing them often in Houston/Austin and damn all of these guys are great!!!!

  • One of the new bands I really dig.Malford you rock man...Love your singing bro.

  • Malford's soo great. I love him and STORYVILLE. One of the greatest bands ever!

  • Damn...If I could have made a band with my favorite living players, this is it! Thanks for the posting. I met Malford in Wisconsin in '06 - when you look up "soul" in the dictionary -->theres his picture.

  • If you ask me, Malford is one of this worlds best bluessingers (so much soul) and the band here is with no doubt the best bluesmusicians you'll find - Bramhall & Double Trouble I love you!

Upload some more of that stuff, please.
