  • panniers? We always called them saddle bags. I guess San Francisco is the place to go if you have panniers.

  • Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-Haw!

  • I swear I saw you guys in Casper Wy. On Casper Mtn rd. I stopped and commented on the panniers. They are a great idea.

  • o dear god these hippies are so braindead from being stoned 99 % of the time. o well, they're young and idealistic, hopefully that will wear off when reality kicks in and they'll become productive non-"hippy skulls full of mush".

  • This is so PNW... I love it!

  • thumbs up if you got here from BikesnobNYC....

  • how can all that sustainability be sustained? Is the search for sustainability be sustained as well?

  • @davidmalden not much past ethnoecology is really sustainable. some exotic technologies might take us past that. in relation to the current course of civilization, only getting off the planet will be sustainable for a select few.

i see these buckets every week in the whole foods dumpster. any business dealing in stuff like like bulk mayonnaise will have this kind of bucket for free.

  • You got BikeSnob'ed.

    Stick that in your panniers.

  • that is a pretty epic trip! envy these kids!

  • I bet the weed dealers in Oregon cannot wait for these guys to show up!

  • good idea.

  • Nifty idea. This is just the ticket for my bicycle to get groceries from the farmers market.

  • Really cool use of kitty litter buckets. There's probably a house made of them out there somewhere. They look versatile.

  • Great video. My wife helps with cat rescue so I have a ton of these in the garage. I was also looking for storage for my bike so great deal. Thanks Paul, I love the podcast. I learned of you through Jack Spirko.

  • Wheaton, you madman, you've done it again! These kids are great, and exhibiting a possible option to spending for new stuff while wasting old stuff. One of our ideas for bug in transportation is our his and her bikes, but we don't have baskets to carry stuff. Fortunately, my mother-in-law is a cat lady, so my cargo problems are now solved. It just goes to show, you can teach an old dog new tricks. I think it's time to go see the websites mentioned in this video. Thanks from Indian Country Farms.

  • Paul, AUTS4U is right, the web address above s/b .org not .com for the culturalrecyclists. (.org redirects to the typepad.com address).

    Great group with admirable passion!

  • @ahnamay better?

  • @paulwheaton12 looks good to me! :-)

  • culturalrecyclists.typepad.com/
